I went to Hennis because a couple of my friends suggested it and said they loved it. Maybe it was the person I got, but I had a very bad experience there and will definitely not be returning or recommending it to anyone. Not only did the person I got seem a little indifferent but she did an AWFUL job cutting my hair. I’m talking like she didn’t even use the cutting shears correctly… she cut my hair with them horizontal instead of upward at an angle. This left me with a pretty bad, choppy hair cut. She also didn’t totally seem to know how to deal with split ends. She also didn’t even cut my hair at all how I had asked(and I was fairly specific). Let’s just say that I left there extremely unhappy, I hate my hair now, and will never be giving them my money again.

I’m a Purdue student, and I have been going to Henni’s once a month for 4 years. The hair shop is clean, friendly, and consistent. INSIDETHESHOP: The most important thing about a personal grooming establishment, whether it’s a salon, barbor shop, or even a tattoo shop is cleanliness. Henni’s satisfies that requirement. It’s clean, cozy, and comfortable. I should mention that I am a man, and selecting a hair shop for a man can be tedious. Barber shops are great at giving buzz-cuts, but some of us guys need a touch more style and care when it comes to our hair. With that being said, some salons are definitely off-limits to guys. I cant walk into a place that does the full manicure, pedicure, facial treatment etc. Henni’s is neither too masculine or too feminine. I have noticed that 30−40% of the clients are males, which makes me feel comfortable there. This might sound like a mundane detail, but it’s important to state: Henni’s caters to both genders. THESTAFF: The staff has always been very friendly. THEPRICE: $ 15 for a simple haircut(for a guy.) I always tip $ 2, so it comes out to 17ish dollars per haircut. I have no clue how much I am supposed to tip people for services like haircuts, but i’ve never heard any complaints. THEQUALITY: Out of the 30 or so haircuts I have gotten from this place, 28 were perfect. One or two of them cut it just a smidgen too short, or missed a sport or two. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this establishment. 90% of the time, I call the shop when I have a 30 minute break inbetween classes to check to see if they can take a walk-in. They almost always can. thus, appointments arent really necessary for a basic trim, but you should at least call ahead.

I was a customer here for two years and loved this place. I usually got my haircut every 6 weeks and sometimes came in to have my bangs trimmed in between haircuts. The stylist I started out with no longer works there. After she left, Henni started cutting my hair. She is great at giving you exactly what you ask for. Once, a stylist slipped up and made one side of my hair shorter than the other. I came back as Henni was closing up for the night and she fixed my hair right then and there, no charge.

Well, I didn’t find anything outstanding about this place but I have no complaints. It’s cheaper that some other places I have gone and the girl that cut my hair was very friendly and efficient. I might try other places just to see if I find something better but otherwise I will be coming here. I came on a Saturday evening and I didn’t have to wait at all so that was cool; plus they are open until 7pm so that’s a plus in my book.

I am not sure where Henni learned to cut hair… They wet your hair and charge you for blowdrying afterwards. But that’s not the worst part. Henni cuts your hair when it’s wet and then asks you if you are satisfied when it’s still wet. How would anyone know how it looks when it’s wet? You gotta wait until it’s dry, ok? Talk about being a professional… Henni over cut my bang because she was doing it when the hair was still wet. For weeks I have to suffer through this awkward haircut. Very very disappointing!

This is a great place to get a haircut right around Purdue’s campus. I went to get mine cut at this place for several years while at college, and I never had a bad experience. This place definitely gets quite a bit of business and can be pretty busy at times. The staff is friendly, and they do a good job. I know there are definitely cheaper places on campus for a guy to get a haircut, but I really liked this place. And it seemed like a bunch of other guys did too. Most of the times I was there, the customers were mainly guys. I’m not sure if that means that the place isn’t as good for girl’s styles or not though. The prices are clearly visible from the ceiling when you walk in, but I’ve heard girls talking about having to pay extra for blow drying. I’m not sure if that is true or not but if it is, it isn’t listed on the regular pricing. But for a guy that wants a good haircut and wash after, I really liked it.

I had my hair cut from here a few years back so the service may be different by now. I made an appointment and when I got there I still had to wait for quite some time. Their advertised price is pretty reasonable however, this does not include blow drying your hair. I asked for a pretty simple cut, just a trim with a little bit of layers. When I looked at my hair when I got home I was mortified! It was so choppy and very uneven. One side was several inches shorter. Also, since it was raining out I opted out of paying the extra $ 7 to get it dried. Needless to say, I will never return and would not recommend any one to go there for a hair cut.

I always go to Henni when I want a hairstylist who listens. And by Henni’s I mean, I will only take an appointment with Henni herself. Her place is inexpensive, but you will definitely receive what you ask for. A bonus is that the place may be small, but at the same time comfortable and modern, with nice music playing usually music in the likes of Coldplay, Norah Jones, or just classical genre.

You always take a big risk by going to get your hair cut at a new place. I am still thinking about whether or not I like my hair. Not bad but not spectacular. The wait was short and the place was full. I made an appt beforehand so that might’ve helped. She was very quick with my hair and in the end it turned out not bad. It matched the picture I brought to show her. I WISH she had told me beforehand that BLOWDRYING is an EXTRASEVENDOLLARS. Ridiculous, if you ask me, considering the whole haircut is only 17.95. In the end, I would go back there. It seems like they are skillful and efficient. Pass on the blow dry for sure.
