I’ve been here several times(only cause of convenience), and every time, no matter who is the barber, the cut feels rushed, and the barber lacks confidence to even suggest they know what they’re doing. I’ll give it two stars ONLY cause he serves us Vets and doesn’t charge. But I’d honestly rather pay than come here to be butchered again.

I’ve driven by this place hundreds of times while driving through the VA. I’m not loyal to any haircut place(typically do Supercuts), so I decided to give this one a shot. Wasn’t expecting much but it was overall great. I got a good haircut and had fun conversation & laughs with Dreamer and Hannah. Happy to support a place like this. Will definitely be back here for my next haircut.

How refreshing to meet people that are giving back in a tangible and personal way to our service men and women! I got a haircut from Hannah today and she did a great job! Will be going back for sure.

Dreamer is awesome! His trailer has tons of character, almost as much character as he does. All of the great stuff that people are saying about Dreamer(on and off of Unilocal) is true! And he has a partner now, Hanna. A great addition to the team! She’s got a great energy to her. She did a great job cutting my hair and keeping the music going. CLUBFREEDOM in the house! Anyways, great cut here for the way I get freshened up. Great conversation even if you’re just a fly on the wall. Proud to support Dreamer!

I have been getting my hair cut by Dreamer for over 18 years. During this time I had to go to a different barber on a handful of occasions for a variety of reasons and each time I was disappointed. Dreamer gives a perfect cut every time, entertaining you all the while. He gives you whatever you need. He’s a counselor, friend, joke teller, storyteller, and deep thinker. His humanitarian side has been well documented. He provides so many veterans with haircuts in a way where they feel prideful of the great men they are, no matter their current financial, physical, or mental state. He basically charges people what they can afford. I pay more than the common $ 12 per cut but I feel good knowing that the extra money helps to subsidize the haircuts of some of our nation’s heroes. Also, most important, when talking about looking for a good barber: He consistently gives excellent haircuts. I always feel a thousand times better after seeing him.

Dreamer is absolutely the best! My dad loves him and he will wait until Dreamer is available to get his hair cut, even if he has to come back another day :) I too love Dreamer; his stories AND jokes always make me laugh! Susan

Dreamer is the best. A throw back to an earlier era. A real barber at the Wadsworth V.A. Been seeing Dreamer for my haircuts for about 5 years now. I live in the neighborhood and always look forward to my twice a month visit. You never know what the conversation topic will be, what direction it will take, or the outcome. On top of all this, he gives a great haircut. Dreamer charges $ 12 for an excellent cut. Tips are appreciated as he gives couple hundred free haircuts every month to vets on the V.A. campus. Has a big heart and a sharp pair of scissors. Plenty of free parking behind the Freedom Trailer and a word to the wise: Don’t speed and don’t run the stop signs.

As a USMC vet, I guess I can never out live and out my high an tight hair cut. Usually, after going to the main facility Bldg 500 or the clinic at Bldg 401 I like to stop by the Freedom barbershop and get my haircut by Dreamer. He’s a cool guy, and always has something to talk about while getting my Trim. Also, it’s the most affordable hair cut in this part of town.

Need I say more than this article: If you are in need of a haircut, have a heart, and a little extra time to take in an experience that you’ll never forget, I’d urge you to stop by Freedom Barber Shop for a cut from the Dreamer. As an added bonus, the Dreamer actually gives a great cut. He is also a jokester and an amateur magician, which is why you might need a little extra time for the experience. Rain dances are available, weather permitting(see pic). Price is very fair at $ 12 plus 10%, or «whatever you think is fair plus 10%». Recall this is a man who gives 100 – 150 free haircuts to vets every month, so my idea of fair was $ 20. He almost didn’t accept it. God Bless.
