I have been training under the watchful eye of TK for 2 weeks now reaching some of the most impressive results I thought were unattainable. Finding TK was a true blessing and it restored my faith in working out with a personal trainer again, after sustaining an injury. If there is PT industry blue print or a standard of who and what a Personal Trainer should be, I can say that TK sets the bar quite high and goes above and beyond anything one can expect. Reaching a personal working out plateau and getting frustrated with the minimal results, one day in June, after spending hours of fitness blogs reading and searching for new methods I came across thumbtack, where one fills out a questionnaire, shares his goals and then waiting for a response begins. I set my expectations on the lowest mode possible, not really expecting much than maybe a handful of responses that would probably be templates or general copied statements that sound the same. I received about a dozen introductions within 24 hours, which was actually quite surprising, from those two stood out the most, but TK’s took the winning. In writing he sounded genuinely interested in helping yet another individual without making empty promises. We exchanged a few emails, I shared as much details about my past and current workout routines and eating habits and we set a time for a free consultation. Still I went with a little bit of reserve and hesitation, in writing it sounded great already but words can’t describe the hands on approach. Meet the trainer: TK is very approachable, without making you feel intimidated. Detail oriented, he had all of my info written down, we went through a few things, asking additional questions and filling in the blanks. He ensures there are no physical limitations prior to exercising. We took the necessary measurements. Then we moved on to physical assessment and he put me through a few routines that truly broke some serious sweat. Even though I thought I was working out hard myself for the past 2 months, his session made me feel as if I had never set a foot at the gym. I quickly realized how much work is there to do, and if he can keep the kind of workout, then this is who I want to train with. The workout: TK uses a variety of exercises ranging from using your own body weight, cable machines and free weights, making each set, each exercise and session designed to target the muscle group trained on giving day, without letting it adapt fast, thus keeping your body on its toes at all times. I still haven’t gone through the same set of exercises yet and he keeps finding those weak spots that I oh so hate, but am glad he notices what needs attention. He pays great attention to ensure you maintain the proper form, correcting when necessary, supporting and pushing you when you feel like giving up. The diet: My diet was great, oh so I thought, until he really took a closer look at it, made necessary suggestions and changes and got me on a track to pay attention to calorie intake, carbs, fat and protein. I was quite obsessed with cutting a lot of food out of my diet prior to TK, and now eating is actually more enjoyable and fun, as it should be. Yes it takes a little self discipline to adopt the new habit but it is oh so worth it. The follow up: Another aspect of being TK’s client that sets him apart from others, is his post workout follow up. Usually when you are done with the session, you don’t see your trainer until the next time. He actually takes time to touch base with you and make sure you are recovering well and reminds you about the next time. To sum it up: In the city of Angels, where one can hire a trainer almost on every corner, TK is a diamond in a rough. After just 2 weeks getting to the lowest BF% of my life while increasing the muscle mass, having better energy and improved sleeping, and need to buy some new clothes. I’m looking forward to my further journey in fitness and health under his guidance. Of course he is not a miracle worker, it takes two to achieve any slight change. Him — the trainer, to guide you and motivate you to keep going, and you — the client, to really step it up and give all you got and then some. If you are truly serious about making a change, wether you are a novice or an avid gym rat, trust me when I say that he will get you where you need to be. TK really is here to help you reach your fitness potential.

While in college I was able to survive 3 years without gaining the dreaded Freshman 15… Then along came my senior year and I gained the Senior 25! I thought that I was going to be one of the lucky ones and evade it but I ended up gaining it plus some. Once I graduated and moved back home I tried everything to shed the weight but nothing was working. TK is the BEST trainer that you can find in Los Angeles and I definitely guarantee that!

I am really happy that I found TK who I used as my trainer on different occasions. When I started, I had very poor overall body strength especially in my upper body. Not only did TK help me to improve my overall strength but he also helped me to see the big picture by changing my eating habits and educated me on the proper use of fitness equipment. While training with TK, I found him to be very supportive during out workouts and he was flexible if I needed to change the dates/times of out training sessions. At this point there is good development overall but especially in my mid section and upper body where I have gained muscle. Thanks TK for helping me to resize/reshape my body and by getting me focused on my physical health. I feel like I have part of my life back that I did not know even existed previously!

I have worked with TK for more than a year. TK helped improve my form, and corrected bad habits which had caused a lot of shoulder pain. I started to see strong results in just a few weeks, and my whole workout philosophy was transformed. TK is amazing! I have worked with TK for just about a year now and have lost over 15 lbs and converted a lot of that into muscle. The workouts are fun and fast paced and always is willing to stop and explain. The training also extends after the gym as TK is always available via email, phone or text to answer any of your nutrition questions. I highly recommend trying TK for your fitness needs!

TK is truly a fantastic trainer. I have a newfound confidence about working out at the gym and he incredibly patient in finding safe, effective workarounds for my bad back and worn-out knees. I really appreciate his motivational style as I am a very reluctant gym attendee. And he incorporates his broad-based knowledge of fitness and nutrition into every work out.
