Tashman’s installed a new pocket door in our master and mirrored wardrobe doors in our guest room. They are beautiful and glide silently and effortlessly. like a hot knife thru butter! We couldn’t be more pleased. From the bid to scheduling and installation, everyone was professional, easy to work with and On Time! We will definitely use Tashmans again, and will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

I wanted to install a second set of windows behind the currently existing ones we have in our condo, and our sound consultant recommended a manufacturer in Long Beach. The owner of the window company said he wouldn’t sell to me directly because we are a bit further north and recommended I contact Tashman’s or another vendor in Venice.
I contacted Tashman’s to ask for a quote based on the all the great Unilocal reviews. The employee (Bert) who came to do our quote apparently didn’t bother to listen to our goals for the windows and recommended Citiquiet Windows (rather than the ones recommended by our sound consultant). That’s not necessarily a problem, but vendors should perhaps be forewarned the Tashman’s won’t necessarily recommend your product, even if the consumer specifically asks for it!
When we got the quote, I asked Bert why he was recommending Citiquiet over Quiet Windows. Bert responded (paraphrasing), «You’re trying to get rid of middle-​of-​the-​night noise. Quiet Windows will help with daytime noise.» Uh, actually, I had already told you that we live in a high-​traffic/​heavy-​construction area, so we *are* actually trying to get rid of daytime noise. We have little noise at night.
Bert also recommended ½″ laminated windows. I asked him if 3/​8″ laminated ones would be sufficient since the difference in the STC rating is 2. Bert: «I don’t know where you’re getting 3/​8″ from.» Um, I’m getting it from the Citiquiet website. Apparently Tashman’s isn’t particularly knowledgeable about the products of the vendors with whom they work! Maybe Citiqueit windows should choose another vendor in LA? (Tashman’s is the only west coast vendor for Citiquiet windows)
I sent a communication to Tashman’s 3 weeks ago to clarify my goals for the windows. I never heard back. So I sent him another communication earlier this week. Still no response.
The quote for the windows totaled over $ 3000. If Tashman’s can’t be bothered with responding to me when I’m ready to spend that much money, I’ll be taking my money elsewhere. I’ll also be sending a copy of my review to Citiquiet, so I can’t get their windows, if I don’t work with Tashman’s (or, to be more accurate, if Tashman’s doesn’t want to work with me).

We have been going to Tashman for years for the windows in our house. Obviously there are plenty of places that sell windows (plenty that are closer to where we live…) but what we like about Tashman is the level of service. Great communication and an obvious understanding of the process are priceless. We will be back when we start our next project.

Been coming to this store for over 20 years what a disgrace I experienced in the store. There was a worker by the name of John which I have never seen him before. Asked him a simple question while i was holding my son he started explaining in a very disrespectful way. He was yelling while he was explaining. My son got scared even started crying. I told the guy keep your voice low and don’t you raise your voice at me and scare my son. I dropped what I was going to purchase and just left. This guy is a prick that does not like dealing with customers have know idea why he is working in the business. Will be calling the owner shortly and telling him what happened he was very fortunate with certain things I will leave it at that.

Thank you Kenny Tashman for carrying on the family business and always giving us such great service. The property management company I work for, Lazer Property Management, has been doing business with Tashman Hardware for more than 50 years! We depend on everyone there daily and are happy that most of them have been there a long time and are experts in their fields. Whether it’s a door knob, windows and screens, a frameless shower door or an entire renovation, they are always growing to meet our needs. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, the service is unrivaled and the quality of workmanship is always top notch.

I am an apartment building owner and have begun using Tashmans for my replacement windows. Not only do they do a beautiful job. They are quick clean and efficient. They’re pricing is great and they go out of their way to help.

I have been using Tashman for manny years. They have a great selection of hardware, screens, glass, paint and more. Beats driving to Home Depot. The staff is excellent and most of them have been there for years. I also started using them for windows and doors.

Rude workers and manager who think it is acceptable to use a driveway as a parking spot for their truck and leave for an hour to go to lunch while the driveway remained blocked. Their workmanship isn’t very good either.

I’ve been coming to this hardware store for years. It’s got the family-​run business vibe instead of the giant chain… and that means great personal customer service. The team is helpful, friendly, and usually stocks whatever I need. If I have a need that they don’t stock, they’re happy to order it. They even have free parking in back — enter on Genessee just past the liquor store on the corner.

This neighborhood hardware store does what the big box stores can’t –personal service.

Great service and very fair prices. We had our front windows replaces several years ago. When it came time to replace the back windows and doors there was only one place that we considered, and that was Tashman’s. Kenny Tashman measured and he is wonderful to work with. The crews show up on time and are do a spendid job.

Advice and help makes it fast and easy to buy the things needed to make small repairs. Their service department makes it affordable to have skilled trusted service personnel come to the house and install Windows, doors and screens.

Extremely efficient, friendly and helpful and have some great suggestions on how to improve home projects and get your deposit back if your landlord is an asshole! Thanks guys!

Family business environment with fair pricing and quality products. I had a great experience purchasing my screen doors there and what really topped it off was the AMAZING service I got from Lucia and Alex. Very detailed and informative while guiding me to the perfect screen doors for my house.

Tashmans is amazing. Not only are they our local hardware store but they also have a workshop that can make you anything you need from doors to window and window screens.
I ordered a new front window to replace an outdated trained glass window from the previous owners and they did an exceptional job and installed it as well.
If you need anything done around the house they will come and give you a bid and handle it.

They are a great store and fabulous service. They are available when you need them. They arrive on time and do what they were told to do for a very reasonable price. I have used them for years for my Interior Design clients. I don’t know of any other business like them. If you can’t find what you’re looking for they most likely have it.

I was referred to Tashman’s to get the City Soundproof windows installed in my loft DTLA. Kenny came out to the loft, gave me a highly competitive quote and we wrote the order. I had no idea what to expect other than thinking that Kenny was a no nonsense guy and he would get the job done properly. Well! The windows came in, I was called to schedule the install, the installers came out to my building and they did the best job I could have ever imagined!
