One of the worst-serviced laundries you will have the misfortune to frequent. The change machines are routinely out of order(guys — these things are VITAL to your business, no change = no customers), the«customer service line» is never(ever) answered, and the person whose machine it is thinks it’s cute to have one of those 5-minute voicemail greetings(apparently it’s still 1987 in this person’s world) so it takes you forever to get to the point where you can actually leave a message, which then of course never makes any difference anyway. Roughly half the dryers are out of service and have been for ~4 years(along with one of the change machines — that thing’s never getting fixed, which is probably why the other one is constantly out of quarters), so if you go there at any busy time periods(any weekends) you’re probably going to have to wait a good long time to dry anything. The working wall dryers like to eat quarters(hint: jam them in there real good and pray). Unfortunately, it’s the only laundry in the neighborhood and it’s actually a nice, pleasant location, albeit poorly kept — there are holes in the wall and ceiling(not joking). Hopefully the current owners will sell very soon to someone who knows how to run a business and then we’ll have a nice neighborhood laundry.

Not the best laundromat around. Hardly any parking is available. Once inside the place is dilapidated. Bare cement floors, soaking wet from overflowing washers, Humid, sweaty interior with no A/C to cool it down. There is no A/C so expect to be very uncomfortable. And speaking of comfort, there is none. the chairs that are provided are the cheapest wobbly unstable chairs you have ever sat your butt in. Since part of doing laundry at a laundromat is sitting around and waiting, these chairs are inexcusable. And lets hope you don’t have to use the restroom while your here washing your clothes because there isn’t one. Also, don’t expect any water or snacks in the vending machine, it only sells powdered detergent. Even the sign showing the hours of operation is hand written, seems like every single aspect of this place is done to the bare minimum. Doing my laundry here made me feel poor, like I was suddenly part of this whole depressing situation. Next time I’ll go somewhere else.

First time here and so far very unimpressed. On the plus side, not crowded, but it’s 4:30p on a Friday afternoon. On the negative, first washing machine we tried didn’t work. We noticed there were quite a few machines with«out of service» notices on them. These are cards that apparently should be available as they’re supposed to have a section you can fill out, tear off and put in the refund box to get a refund. The remaining section you’re supposed to put on the machine that failed. Fair enough. Except there’s no new cards to be found and there’s no refund box to put them in anyways. So we’re out our $ 2.25 for the wash we didn’t get. Overall the décor is old and decrepit. We’ll be trying another laundromat next time. Update: originally posted before getting to the dryer stage. First dryer worked with first quarter but then ate the second without giving more time. Lovely.

I don’t know what the other Unilocalers are talking about. I liked this place. It was clean enough, not crowded and the machines were efficient. I didn’t have much time to spend when I went and I got everything done within an hour. I’ve definitely been to worse laundromats. The only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is because there are no video games machines. That may sound childish but I do enjoy an occasional ‘King of Fighters’ or ‘Street Fighter 3: Third Strike’ session. Anyway… it’s a fine place to wash your clothes.

Hey got any plans this Saturday? Me either. Let’s go fill up the dryers at Star Wash & Dry and early in the AM, then head out for the day! Man this place sucks. $ 3.50 for a medium size wash machine and then no where to dry because the dryers are all camped out and no one is there to claim them. This is the only laundromat that I have ever took my wet clothes and went somewhere else to dry.

Unclean premises, barely lukewarm water at best, old machines with truncated wash cycles, no attendant, no parking, …and expensive!
