I love this place and I really hope Unilocalers reading this don’t crowd my #1 breakfast spot in town. I’d prefer everyone just crowd Griddle as usual. Quiet setting, adorable set up, never busy, easy parking, amazing personal service, great food — what more can you want? Been here about 9 times? Never fails, always have to get the carrot cake to go. I’m a HUGE carrot cake fan — birthday cakes have been carrot cake serious. Scrumptious really knocked it out of the park and it’s always had me wanting more. I’m only writing this to help their business because you have to give credit where it’s due. Here’s my suggestion for 2. Almond milk scrumptious latte and monkey bread to start — a must — THEN! 2 baked chorizo omlettes with potatoes. Carrot cake to go. The fat boy/girl inside you will be happy and all will be good in the universe. Thanks Scrumptious!

Fantastic hidden gem in Weho. Instead of being on the main Santa Monica Blvd. strip, where people are lined up outside brunch places typically on Saturday or Sunday morning, this place is decidedly low key. Tucked away on a small residential side street, you would never even know it’s there. There is indoor seating as well as a very comfortable outdoor shaded seating area surrounded by some trees. The service is fantastic, as is the food. 1. Coffee: Delicious and free refill. 2. Banana stuffed French toast: This was a lovely dish with just the right amount of flavor. The bananas were salient, and the crème on top is amazing. A very satisfying sweet dish, but I would complement it with a savory dish! 3. Baked eggs with chorizo: This is a must-get. It is a wonderfully baked dish with two eggs hidden under some cheese and amazing ground meat. When you hit the egg portion, the yolk will flow out. It’s really delicious. I definitely recommend this place for both the food and the low-key ambience. It’s a perfect place to catch up with friends when you’re not looking to be in the«scene.»
