Rennasants Salon

Let me begin by saying I am incredibly picky with all things beauty. But, if you want an impeccable blow-​dry, this is the place to go, and better yet, make an appointment with Martin. From the minute I walked in to the moment I left, everything was top notch. My appointment was at 10 and Martin was there, ready for me. I was greeted with smiles and coffee! I have very long, curly hair, and Martin blow dried it like nobody’s business! He was efficient, the place was clean, and I left in a timely manner. When I left I felt flawless and ready to take on the day. What more can one ask for.

I guess it’s time to find a new hair salon, as sad as I am to have to say that. I had been seeing Kari (I may be spelling her name wrong) to get my hair trimmed. I’m kind of anal when it comes to people cutting my hair, and after talking over the phone with Kari for a long time, I came to the conclusion that she would be able to trim my hair, make it healthy, and not cut off too many inches so that my hair would have the chance to grow longer.
After my first appointment I could not have been more pleased! I bought product according to her suggestions for my dry hair and rescheduled for 12 weeks later. I noticed an incredible difference in the way that my hair held itself. It looked healthier and it felt that way too.
12 weeks later, I walk into the salon and she says «I tried to cancel our appointment yesterday, I left a message…» I did not have a message on my phone and I was not going to be happy if I was cancelled on the day of my appointment as I walked in to get cut – although, I would have understood. See, the thing is with Kari is she is also the assistant to the owner of the salon, so when he has a client, she is supposed to be there to assist. I understand that part.
She ended up squeezing me in for my appointment and at the end of the cut, we came to the realization that she had my number wrong in her system, which is why I didn’t get the message. I overlooked the entire situation as a bad mishap and rescheduled for another 12 weeks. I also asked to buy the same product as last time, but was told that their shipment would be coming in next week and she would give me a call.
12 weeks later, I never got a call to pick up any product and as I am leaving for my appointment with Kari at 8 am I missed a phone call from her. Literally 15 minutes before my appointment her voicemail says, «I just checked my calendar and it looks like we have an appointment at 8 am but I hope that isn’t the case. I thought you were scheduled for tomorrow and I won’t be in the office until 10 am today and won’t be available to cut you until about 3 pm.» I’m sorry, what? Not only was I cancelled on AGAIN, it was done 15 minutes prior to the appointment, and due to the fact that she didn’t check her schedule before she woke up this morning. This could not be a more unprofessional and careless way to treat your clients.
Therefore, I am not rescheduling. There’s no point assuming my appointments are always cancelled anyways. There are plenty more hairs salons in this town who would be willing to accomodate for my anal retentiveness and keep my appointments as scheduled. I don’t have time for this.

The best! I drive from Manhattan Beach to get my hair cut by the owner, Reny Salamon, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Delicious coffees and espresso drinks while you wait :)

Reny Salamon has been doing my hair for many many years. I trust him more than any other stylist I have tried. He is very talented and a great listener. He really hears me when I convey what I am looking for and he knows when to speak up and stop me from making a mistake! He does amazing cuts and masterful color. He is awesome! The salon is very comfortable and airy. I enjoy every moment spent here and always walk out feeling like I have the most amazing hair ever!

From the moment I walked into Rennasants, I felt a calming air around me. This salon was not about having a plethora of stylists running around, but it was apparent that they excelled in personalized service that I have not seen in many of the more popular area salons. After getting dressed and relaxing to a cup of cappuccino, my hair was transformed by Ricardo. I have never seen someone so attentive to detail without taking half a lifetime to complete. He had no hesitation how to chisel out an amazing style that I am proud to say is one of the best cuts I have walked away with in a very long time. Thank you Ricardo and Rennasants for this experience. I feel reinvigorated, and I will surely be returning!

What a beautiful Salon! So I decided to try a new stylist with a Groupon I got the other day. I am so glad I did!!! Martin Hayes cut my hair and I was so impressed. He really took time to listen to what I wanted. As well, he really took his time to give me the haircut that I wanted. The salon is beautiful and parking for me was great in the surrounding neighborhood. For sure I will be coming back.

Ricardo is the best. Got my hair tamed today and I’m loving it. He really listens to what you want and does an excellent job. I moved here a few years ago and it’s been hard to find my «regular» salon, but that’s no longer a problem now that I’ve found Rennasants. Free coffee ! Will definitely be back.
Oh, and did I mention there’s a gorgeous English Sheepdog that is the sweetest dog ever? He was working at Rennsants today, too, and brightening everyone’s day.

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 2 years. Although he is a very sweet guy and handsome the one part of him I always felt lacking was his hair or rather, the way he styles and cuts his hair. I have taken him to three different salons and barber shops to see if we can fix this when he started expressing to me that he himself didn’t have an age-​appropriate style. Some cuts were better than others, we experimented with various hair products too and some results came out of it however nothing quite clicked. Recently, he met Ricardo who invited him to come try out Rennasants Salon. I could NOT be happier with my boyfriends hair. Ricardo did a great job and Victor doesn’t just look like a guy with a good haircut, he looks like himself with a haircut that shows his correct age and he looks better than ever. I’ve been going to Brent Anderson for years and am thrilled that he’s moved over to Rennasants on Fountain. Brent is a great stylist, always willing to cut my hair as usual or dream up something different if I’m having a crisis hair day. I was just there on 11÷6÷10 and he told me that they are doing a 40% off promotion or something for new clients — so get over there and try him out! 40% off of any hair stylist is a deal but for Brent it’s a STEAL!
