Sadly, closed since my first visit to L.A. Please, someone, anyone, find me a recipe for that amazing Jesuit pastry.

So sad they’re closed! Was always a reliably tasty breakfast with amazingly delicious bread! Maybe it’s a good thing they are closed then…

I can’t believe there closed! I passed by a few days ago and everything is gone. Sign gone and pretty much empty inside. I’ve been coming to Champagne for over 10 years. So sad.

I always enjoyed coming here with my dog on the weekends. They had very good crossiont-based pastries. Buttery and flakey crossionts — as they should be. I also enjoyed the breakfast crossiont sandwich with egg, bason, and cheese. Employees were always so nice. Sadly, I walked there this morning, Sunday August 16, and to my shock and disappointment, not only were the doors closed, but the place was COMPLETELYEMPTY. GONE. Not a trace of the café remains. What the hell happened? The place always seemed to have a lot of customers both inside and outside. For years it was a reliable place to drop in for coffee or french-style sandwiches. It was great for the immediate neighborhood because you could always walk there and not have to worry about the parking. Very sad to see it closed. There’s still the one in Beverly Hills… but I don’t live in Beverly Hills… and I have no desire to go and look for parking on South Beverly Drive just for a crossiont.

CLOSED! Was just in here a couple of days ago, now they’re clearing it out — sign gone, big dumpster outside, fixtures being removed. Sorry to see it go. I’ve been coming here over 6 years. Great pastries, friendly staff, nice location.

A neat café with tasty food, a touch priced high, but at least the food is good. I tried the omelette with chicken pesto and goat cheese; the egg was tasty and fluffy and I quite enjoyed the filling. The omelettes here are one of the better ones I’ve had in a while, to be honest. Omelette is usually served with potato and a baguette, but for a nearly $ 2 upcharge, I substituted my potatoes for fruit. The fruit was of good quality and was diverse, so, at least that was good, too. I usually try to avoid bread as much as possible, but I’m going to presume that the baguettes are made in house because it was warm, slightly toasted and really soft. Suffice to say, it was too good not to eat, so these carbs are worth it. I didn’t get a chance to try any of the pastries; they looked pretty basic(meaning, nothing out of the ordinary or very spectacular looking and probably not worth the sugar/calories) but maybe I’ll give one a shot sometime. The baguette was really good, so, I’d imagine that’d extend to their pastries. There’s also lots of seating, they have both inside and outside, but not very many outlets(in fact, I can only spot 1) so bear that in mind. I gave this place 4 stars because the food was pretty good, definitely better than average and what i expected, which means I’ll probably be back.

I had a Brokers Open House at the AKA in Beverly Hills, Rose set up unassumingly the conference room before the Open House started, she was quietly gone. Everyone loved the food and wanted to know who did the Catering? All she needs to do is leave business cards to spread the word:) Endre

ENVIRONENT Indoor/Outdoor Seating. Awesome people watching since it’s in the heart of WEHO on Santa Monica. All the food is super affordable(compared to everywhere else). SALADS Cobb — very good. Provolone and bacon with fresh spinach, chicken tomato and avocado. I asked for vinegar instead of dressing, but it took three attempts and me walking back for it myself. Not good.

Omg! I ordered my FAVORITE sandwich today(chicken pesto) and like always, I ordered it on the multigrain baguette. Soooooo good! I also had the French fries with it and it was amazing! I order this frequently because it is consistently amazing! I think breakfast will be ordered from here tomorrow as well. Yummmmmmy

I discovered this place through a friend. I’m actually very impressed with the selection of baked goods and the coffee. The iced coffee is great. Only down side is that there aren’t any refills on iced coffee. I’ll be sure to revisit this place again soon. Highly recommended. The employee was also very friendly. :-)

I was STARVING and originally wanted to try Gangnam Pocha, but it wasn’t open for another hour. My sister and I decided to go to Champagne French Bakery Café because according to her, they had really delicious sandwiches. I wasn’t in the mood for a sandwich, but instead got the Brioche French Toast while she ordered the Chicken Florentine Crepes. We sat with our number on the table, waiting patiently for our dinner. Unfortunately, a bunch of the pieces of french toast were under cooked and very mushy(this was before syrup). The bacon was delicious, but I was really underwhelmed by this whole dish. My sister was picking at her crepes and drenched them in Tapatio hot sauce. She finished her salad, but only ate some of the crepes. It was clear that she wasn’t into her meal at all. She even said as we walked out of the restaurant«Well, that was very unappetizing.» I was really bummed about my experience at Champagne. Considering that I was about to pass out from hunger, but was unable to enjoy this meal, I think speaks volumes about the quality of their food. Typically, when I’m hungry, everything tastes good. I give 2 stars for the perfectly cooked bacon, and that’s about it.

Was trying to get into a particular«Bistro» several times and ended up walking along Santa Monica Blvd instead. Walked in this place because I was hungry and this place looked good. If I lived in this area, I would totally be a regular here. Their caramel macchiato is very good. No teeth tingling. I know that’s an unlikely«standard» or «criteria» coffee lovers have but it’s in mine and the teeth tingling bugs me enough… Although I did notice that whenever I’m with a coffee lover and my teeth don’t tingle, they happen to like their coffee as well. Triple Chocolate Mousse — YES! YES! Chocolate Chip Cookie — Another yes!!!

Nothing special, but better than Starbucks. The food here is really not that great at all and the coffee is just okay. This place DOES have amazing desserts though and the wifi works really good if you need to get some work done.

2014 Unilocal365CHALLENGE — 112⁄365 Beautiful place to eat. Great location too. Customer service was really great. She was sweet, brought our food, cleared our plates. I got the chicken panini which was pretty good. And my friend got the cheese panini and hers was delicious. The fries were the best part. My other friend got the tomato soup and quiche which she really liked. I got a dessert she recommended but it wasn’t what i was expecting and I didn’t like it too much. Overall, this is a great café to try out if you’re in the area.

Yeah, I know it’s a mini-chain… but it’s one of my go-to places for a quick breakfast. Also lovely enough and with enough menu options to serve as my default«let’s meet for coffee» place. Indoor and outdoor tables. Amazing pastries on display in their case but also a really good diverse sandwich/salad menu. This morning I had the brioche with custard… Wow… absolutely delicious. And I generally find parking on the side streets not as hard as you might think what with their prime WeHo location. A winner.

I really like this place. It has much better coffee than Starbucks, and better atmosphere than Le Pain, which are both near by. The breakfast tastes homemade and is reasonably priced. I had eggs, bacon and potatoes(which weren’t too greasy). Next time I will probably ask for a different type of bread because I’m not a big baguette person, but that’s just my personal preference. My cappuccino was perfect. The atmosphere is very low-key, local and friendly.

The location is very convenient and since they do deliveries we use them for catering for work meetings, but we always have some sort of issue: we buy drinks with the food and they forget(more than 3 times now), if we call in the afternoon we are asked to call back because they are too busy(three different times), if we place an order to pick up at 11:30 is not ready when we show up so we end up being late for the meetings…(I am sorry but there is a reason why we call ahead to place the orders). I really love their food and catering options but between the experiences we are having and their new prices… We are going to have to move on. Customer Service is key for the success of a business.

It costs $ 2 extra to add avocado to a salad. Ok, that seems to be standard at other restaurants too. But it seemed to rub me to wrong way when I saw how much avocado they give: Ok, so that could potentially be the standard amount of avocado at other restaurants too. But I think I was just in a bad mood because when they brought out our french fries, they were overcooked and tasted on the verge of being burnt. When I asked our waitress if it was normal for their french fries to be overcooked like that, she said she can take it back and get me a new batch. Great, right? But instead of leaving the issue at that, she went on to say«Most people like their french fries that way.» She didn’t necessarily say it in a rude way or anything but it did make me feel like I am in the wrong for liking french fries the way I like it. Nearly $ 10 for a simple small green salad, fries that tasted mediocre, and a little nudge at my ego. Nice.
