I don’t think these guys are open anymore. We’ve tried calling several times over the last couple of nights(it’s really just a game now to see if anyone answers), and they don’t answer their phones, and there’s no answering machine message. Their website is still up, though. Maybe we’ll try again tomorrow night! ;)

After checking them out on Unilocal I decided to stray from my usual pizza joints(domianos/joe’s) I called and ordered a margarita pizza and mozzarella sticks, the guy couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough which I guess is pretty typical when ordering delivery. I was contemplating ordering the cheesecake but was cut off with my total and delivery time… click, okay guess that completes my order and saves me from that extra trip around Runyon. My order arrived quick enough about 20min half their estimated time, the delivery guy seemed very annoyed and was not at all friendly he also put my pizza on the ground while impatiently waiting for me to pay him, strange. Pizza was okay, kinda salty for my taste and cold, I had to put it in the oven before we could eat it. Which is pretty sad considering this place is three blocks away! Mozzarella sticks were inedible and also cold. Guess ill go back to Joe’s next time I’m in the mood for pizza, they may be pricey but there pizza always delivers ;)

The only reason this place is getting two stars and not the deserving ONE is because the pizza was mostly edible(over the backyard tasting salad that I spit out after a slight graze to the taste buds). Here is the story: Walk in, approach counter with two employees maundering on as if no shift in the occupancy occurred at all. Finally get an annoyed acknowledgement and a stiff conversation about how they have nothing ready to serve by the slice. After a brief discussion about a salad, a small pizza and two sodas, the phone rings and we get put on the back burner. We pay… we wait… the man looks up at us as if we are in his way. Finally he remembers the drinks… or one of them. After a bit longer, he completes his phone call and we dispute for a minute on our soda order. Once cleared, we had to serve ourself to the salad. By that time the pizza was ready … which didn’t take that long to prepare, but each minute that buzzed by seemed like a minute in the dentist chair as he examen’s your mouth with the drill running. I prefer Big Momma’s and Papa’s Pizza … much friendlier service and a much better slice.

We had our pizza delivered. We ordered a large pizza with sausage, peppers, onions and olives. When the pizza arrived, it was cold. The crust was very limp. I love thin crispy crust… that’s what I expected from a brick oven. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again. Damn, I had such high hopes. Maybe we should have dined in.

I’ve always loved how Brick Dome Pizza is only a block or so away from my place, so I can walk over there in my pajamas(at three in the afternoon) and not feel like a freak… as much. It’s the perfect no-pressure, neighborhood comfort-food standby — much like the Subway sandwich shop next door. If you eat at Brick Dome, halfway through your dull slice you’ll wish you ordered a foot-long Italian next door instead, and if you’re eating six inches of the same flaccid meatball marinara you always order at Subway, you’ll suddenly regret not eating a slice of thin crust pepperecteroni. – It’s like your fickleness in the mirror with shoes or jeans has morphed into an indecisiveness with lunch. – Or at least MINE has.(«Projection» — I think that’s what my therapist called it) I say«indecisiveness», because Brick Dome Pizza isn’t so great that you’ll tonguegasm all over it and want to wipe all the other pizzeria numbers off your cell phone contact list(btw — if you keep pizzeria telephone numbers on your cell phone, let’s go to therapy together and have pizza after, k?) Brick Dome Pizza is good, especially if you’re really hungry or trying to deaden the buzz from your frou-frou wine cooler drinks. But is it THAT good? No, not really. But it’s there. And they’ll deliver, unlike Subway(you lazy lump of lovely :-P). $ 10 will go as far at Brick Dome as it will at the home of Sandwich Artists, so you won’t spend a fortune here. Invest your leftover funds in college tuition or Red Bull. Brick Domers don’t like to be called Pizza-Artists, though. You CAN watch them paint your dough with sauce, but don’t even think of narrating things like«could you add more cheese?» as they do their Picasso impression, because they’ll look at you like you just got out of bed at three in the afternoon. Am I really so abstract? No, no I’m not. YOU are! (projection, honey)

A friend recommended Brick Dome and it’s very close to my house so a few nights ago after a late evening without dinner I stopped in for a slice. They have a new customer. The thin crust is delicious. I just had a simple cheese slice but am looking forward to trying a pie or two with some friends to check out some more of their work.

I have been getting pizza from this place on occasion ever since it opened. I really like their thin crust. And if you go in to order, you can actually watch the guy make it. However I do have some complaints about it. –the delivery service is kinda spotty. sometimes they’ll be very quick, other times it’ll be an hour and the pizza will be cold by the time it gets there. –recently i saw they had a «C» health board rating posted in the window. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a «C» before so now i’m a little nervous about what might have accounted for that. they must have corrected it because the last time i drove by it was an «A». but still, it’s cause for a little concern. –bizarre(over)pricing. a small pizza(plain) is $ 5.99, and the small is pretty frickin’ small. but then if you want a medium, the price jumps to $ 10.99 or something ridiculous. that would be the price of a normal pizza at other places, but the pizza here is so thin that it’s only like half as much food as a pizza from somewhere else. as i mentioned, i like that it’s thin, but it just shouldn’t cost this much. –COUPON bizarreness. so if you live in west hollywood i’m sure you’ve accumulated dozens of their menu/coupons on your doorknob. i have a drawer full of the damn things. using the coupons makes the prices relatively reasonable, and i always remember to if i’m getting delivery. but, if you go in there and you don’t have the physical coupon, they won’t give you the coupon price. then they have«specials» on posters in the window and those are different from the ones on the coupons. i just think it’s all a little fishy. make the pizza a more reasonable price, and cut it out with the coupons! i’d order from here way more often.

Sometimes the pizza is a little luke warm but for my money it’s the best thin crust pie in West Hollywood. If you’re trying to stuff your face, go somewhere else because the thiness of the pizza doesn’t satisfy that ultimate pizza hunger. If you have some semblance of self-control though then this is a winner.

Wonderful thin crust pizza. I found myself eating slice after slice(usually I’m a slice and a half pizza-eater) without breaking a sweat. Flavorful and light(well, light-feeling cuz of the crust, anyway!). Once my bf ordered and it came slightly under-done in the center, and we had to throw it in the oven to finish crisping up, but totally worth it to me. Can’t comment on the service since I’ve never placed/accepted an order myself. Also, I’ve never tried their sides, but the bf did not like the wings, chicken nuggets, or caesar salad. We liked the clam chowder and the cheesecake, though.

I don’t know if they are under new management, but they do have a new attitude — a bad one. Don’t try talking too long with the staff, they are disgruntled. The food is not bad, but it’s expensive.

Last night I stopped there with a friend. While thinking what to get, I told my friend about the perfect pizza I had years ago in Israel — Sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and goat cheese. the guy there looked at me and said they can make it. It was AWESOME! prices are good, pizza is personal, not like the big franchise. This crust and yummy!

OK — I still love the pizza — but is ATTITUDE a new topping??? It is the only Halal pizza place I know of in LA, and so I make the trek to West Hollywood from West LA every few weeks. I hadn’t gone in awhile, and I recently went twice in a span of two weeks with some pizza-hungry fellow halal-eating friends(it’s Ramadan so we’re really hungry this month). Anyways, the new owner is just not that nice(generally rude, poor manners, and tends to overcharge). In fact, I trekked across town this evening to pick up two halal-pepperoni pies, and when I parked I heard a man screaming at a poor soul in the parking lot — well guess who it was? The Pizza-Nazi!!! From now on… I’m going Boboli!

my girlfriend actually snatched their flyer off of someone else’s door when she took out the trash and my only complaint is that they didn’t put a flyer on our door. this is my new favorite pizza place. We usually order from place’s like Damiano’s(waste of f’n money and we only order it when no one else is open!), and Johnny’s(good). I can finally say there is hope for delivery pizza in Hollywood. About the pizza; let me start by saying that I usually never eat thin crust pizza, but their dough was so freak’n good! soft in all the right place’s and the topping were good too. The hot wings were awesome! I wont be getting delivery pizza anywhere else from now on.
