The blandest, smallest portion of guacamole for $ 10. I’ve gotten table-side guac 4x the size of this for the same price. The menu states the guac has garlic in it, so we asked for more minced garlic to add more flavor to it and the waitress came back to say they don’t even have garlic in the kitchen??? False advertisement. The margarita was delicious but the mojito very sub par. Won’t be back here to eat. Maybe to bring a tourist for happy hour margaritas but NEVER for food.

The food is good, the atmosphere is quirky(it’s like you’re on a tiny beach), the staff are sweet, but there isn’t enough of them! I waited a long time to be acknowledged/helped and then waited another half hour to get a breakfast wrap. This probably isn’t the greatest place for a quick meal or when you’re really hungry!

Delightful little place with great service! Had a late lunch with a gf. We had a bottle of bubbly to celebrate her bday. It was a local brand and was delicious! The food was fresh and made with top quality ingredients… super healthy! My gf had the chicken sausage scramble wrap with tater tots and loved it. I had the cran turkey burger with fresh greens. It was sensational! We had a lovely day to sit outside and enjoy the day as well. No complaints here!

Just stopped in after a procedure and it was fabulous! The bloody Mary’s, sweet potato fries & the guacamole plus the warm soft chocolate chip cookie were to die for. Everyone was so helpful and awesome! If you’re in the area must stop in.

Love chilling at my local«beach » … Having a cocktail and put my feet in the sand without having to take the I-10 traffic hassle . Like the food and the environment where my dog is also welcome !

I want to start off by saying that the staff was truly outstanding. They were all very attentive, funny, and polite! However, the food was whatever. I can’t say it was bad but it wasn’t anything exciting. Very basic. The concept of the place is great but the menu needs a huge revamp! The only think we liked was the guacamole and pitcher of red sangria. Both of those options were great. They mentioned remodeling the place soon, hopefully they remodel the menu as well so that we can return lol

Ok, let’s start with the positives. This restaurant and local hang-out is in a great location. It has a friendly informal feel, like you’ve wandered into someone’s casual and slightly shambolic back yard. Music was decent and I like the sandpit and umberellas. Started poorly; waited more than 20 minutes before I could even catch someone’s attention to request a menu but no panic. I wasn’t in a hurry. Waiter wasn’t rude but he was indifferent — again no big problem. I ordered drip coffee and the pancakes which the menu advised came with berries, bananas and whipped butter. Coffee arrived barely lukewarm. I asked the waiter if he could add some hot coffee to it to warm it up but it didn’t make much difference. Then the pancakes arrived. Again barely warm, and with what looked like a quarter of a medium sized banana sliced on top. The ‘whipped butter’ was one of those mini portion of butters, removed from its foil and tossed on the side of the plate. No berries of any description. No explanation, or offer to provide a substitute topping. On the side was a mini plastic container of foul tasting syrup — the sort of container they provide for ketchup or mayo in fast food chains. Honestly I was shocked. I tried to eat it as I was hungry but stopped after two mouthfuls. The ‘buttermilk pancakes’ tasted as though they had come from a packet of cheap instant mix. I pushed it to one side where it sat for 20 minutes until I asked for the bill. At no point did the waiter approach the table to ask if I was enjoying my food(clearly not!) or to ask if I wanted more coffee or anything else. When I asked for the bill I told him politely that I couldn’t eat the pancakes. He pretty much shrugged and said he’d take them off the bill. Again not rude, just completely indifferent. I had chosen this spot based on reviews I’d read. Such a disappointment.

We went midafternoon on a weekday so was quite empty but got a nice large table with lounge chairs & hung out for a couple hours with cocktails and a gorgeous view of sandpit in the center of the restaurant giving off a beachy vibe makes you forget you’re in the middle of bustling We-Ho the server was attentive and very friendly suggested cocktails and food which was on the higher-priced side but they have a great happy hour!

Awesome! I loved this place. Service was great, the décor was pretty. We ordered breakfast– the burrito and the French toast. Oh! So yummy! And the server was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back here.

We walk past Beach Nation all the time and my best friend, husband were walking down santa monica with her new dog and decided to check it out. We were very pleasantly surprised by the great service and excellent food at reasonable prices. We all had breakfast at lunchtime and they were very accommodating with our food allergies. Very dog friendly and we noticed very kid friendly. Happy hour starts at 2 and who doesn’t love that when you have a day off. We feel like we’re on vacation in our own neighborhood. We’ll be back!

My friends and I decided to come here for brunch and we all had bottomless mimosas. Our waitress was finishing her shift and said that she will give us a complimentary pitcher of mimosa. Then a few minutes later we receive a bill for the«complimentary mimosa». We brought it up to the bar manager(Scott). He said«sorry for the confusion but we are charging you» … What the hell kind of service is that?! Will never come back here again. We said we will never come back here again to SCOTT and he still charged us. A place that does NOT care about returning customers. This place will not last due to SCOTT. We spent over $ 300 for brunch and we would have come here every Sunday but will no longer with SCOTT

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, quality customer service! I drive by this place all the time and always meant to check it out, so after a day of working with this woman who talked too damn much and kept repeating herself ad nauseam, I decided to swing in for a beer. They just got their liquor license, so the drinks menu and beer options are still being developed, however they have some nice beachy themed drinks ready to order. They have a good happy hour, beers for 4 $ and margaritas for $ 5. The music they play is really good(energetic yet chill) and it really feels like a beach getaway in the middle of the city. Good spot for chilling, nice menu, and a great place to order drinks and read a book!

Held a surprise engagement celebration brunch for my girlfriend here. They let us decorate the whole section we were in with signs and blow-up palm trees/flamingos and balloons. Our waiter Scott was REALLY sweet and even put on a lei and hibiscus flower in his hair. Bottomless mimosas for everyone to start and ordered a bloody mary for myself(not bottomless but still good.) Woo! Food did take a while to come out, but in all fairness, Scott did warn us that the kitchen was small and that it would take a while. With the drinks going on, we really didn’t notice the wait honestly. We all ordered different items on the menu — consensus is that the burrito, hash and huevos rancheros were good! Fruit(side) was good also and the side of potatoes the dishes came with was SO good. Prob my favorite. Scott even mxed up a spicy aioli sauce for us. Only disappointment was the French toast stuffed with strawberries and cream — it was very bitter and not sweet at all. Great experience and awesome ambiance. Bad parking — you’re on your own! Street parking is the ONLY way to go and it’s not easy to find an open spot on Santa Monica Blvd.

We got seated right away but it took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food. Considering the brunch menu is very limited I would think #1 the food would be pretty good and #2 that it shouldn’t take… Oh and HOURAND A HALF to receive! Additionally the service is very, VERY slow. We definitely will not be visiting again. I included a picture of their banana foster pancakes. They were basically a stack of dry pancakes with a few pathetic slices of banana. Disappointing all around.

This place is great and has good sized portions. All of the waitresses are fantastic, and super friendly. The guys however are just coasting and not good waiters at all with only one exception. So hope that if a guy is serving you you happen to get the only good one. For food they have a house made veggie burger to die for, and delicious sweet potato fries. The regular burgers are also fantastic, I’ve been told. DONOT come here for Sunday brunch food, stick to their normal menu and only get drinks if you happen to be here on a Sunday.

You know, I have come to really like this place, especially now that they serve alcohol. :-) It’s nice to come here during happy hour and enjoy the low sun while having a cheap margarita or beer. Plus the $ 2 sliders are delicious. The atmosphere is cool… It’s nice to slip off my flip-flops and stick my toes in the sand. About the only thing that isn’t great and the service… When I was there recently, it was a little on the slow side. Though I think that was more because there was only one server working, so I guess the management needs to think about staffing up a bit.(My boyfriend says no, she was just slow. So you make the call.) Bottom line, this is a really cute concept that executes fairly well. And the margaritas are delicious. :-) So check it out!
