Altman Karen, MD

I have been to dr Altman twice since my last review. The front office continues to be extremely friendly and competent. Dr Altman takes all the time needed, listens to my questions and gives me answers I can understand. I trust her explicitly and recommend her as an excellent neurologist. I have been going to her since 2003 when she confirmed my diagnosis of MS.

After waiting too long to see a neurologist, I was referred to Dr. Altman and saw her a few days ago. She is an attentive, intelligent and effective doctor: She listened to my entire story, carefully recording what I was saying and interested in it, which is already more than you’ll get from many docs. She clearly has an understanding of medicine beyond her field and actually diagnosed the issue I’ve been suffering with where other doctors hadn’t had a clue or told me just to live with it. When I left her office, I had hope and a plan to get better, looking forward to the PT referral she gave me to eventually eliminate this issue in the long term; I’m happy she didn’t immediately try an unneeded pharmaceutical route.
I definitely recommend her if you need a good neurologist.
