Service is great but… the roses i got yesterday for a early vday gift for my girlfriend were skimpy as sh*t…a dozen roses looks like 6 with one stem of babys breath…$ 35 for red roses just cause its valentines day fine, mark them up more cause of the holiday but got crappy looking roses. Mostvwere decent but the pedals had brown cracks in them and some edges stsrted to turn browm… didnt know i had to inspect flowers as if i was buying a car…$ 35 is crazy… goto longwarf in new haven its a roses truck… they never change thier price…$ 25 for gorgeous full roses with greens and such.

I had to call twice: once pre-​order, once post order. Spoke with two different women on each occasion. But were friendly, accommodating, called me hon… just had that old school, awesome, Mom & Pop/​family business feel that is so hard to find nowadays.
I purchased three different bouquets to be delivered to the same address for Mother’s Day. They were gorgeous, spot on replicas of what was pictured online. I needed to change the delivery date and specify time. No hassle, no problem, «of course, hon! We got ya covered!» And total was only $ 120 for three professionally designed bouquets.
Man, oh man, if more businesses were like this one. A+++++!

Nancy and her team made all the flowers for our wedding in 1998. To this day, we still use them for all our local flowers.

The service was horrible! They dismissed me as if I were not a customer and engaged in a private conversation in front of me! I then paid $ 32 dollars for a dozen of red roses that were hardly prepared, no food was provided, and they died after 1 week! Word of advice… If you are looking for quality flowers and good customer service. This is not the place! Do not waste your money

I live in CA and stumbled upon Petals & Scents via a simple Google search for «flowers 6 477», as my Mother lives in Orange, CT and I wanted to send her flowers today because she had just gotten out of surgery.
I decided it would be best to phone my order in, hoping to get a same-​day delivery. The owner answered and was, though incredibly busy and on her own (apparently the rest of the staff had already gone for the day), so attentive and kind and helpful!!!
I asked if there was any hope of delivery today and she said she would deliver the flowers herself at the end of the day, around 5:30pm. Incredibly grateful and not wanting to be picky, just glad my Mom would get flowers, I told her to select whatever flowers she wanted, gave her a price range, and my Mom’s address.
I called my Mother around 6:30 (her time), waking her up, and asked if she had heard the doorbell at all. She said she thought she might have heard it «a while ago», and said she would call me back. Using crutches to get there, she made her way to the door and can you believe it this wonderful wonderful woman was standing out there WAITING for her! I have no idea how long she must have been out there, but she told my Mom «Your daughter said you just had surgery, so no way was I leaving without giving these to you!»
I am so unbelievably impressed and grateful — you just do not see service like this anymore, and my Mother said the flowers were just gorgeous.
Absolutely go with this florist. You will be so glad you did.
