Everything here is done right. And the grilled breads are simply amazing! It’s the only place I’ve been that knows the difference between eggs over easy and eggs over medium.

Food was great, so wasn’t the server. Only thing I would say should be changed is that one of the servers was wearing short gym shorts, really not a good look or a professional uniform. They should being wearing the tee shirts the café sells with their name on it too. Recommend the place.

Cash only, my friends! There’s an ATM in the corner if you forget. Good Friends never disappoints. Whether it’s take out or dine-in you are served with a smile and enthusiasm. The people who work there are all very genuine. I’ve recently fallen in love with the Paul’s Sandwich, which has omelette style eggs, bacon, and cheese on a croissant. I personally always order their home fries crispy, otherwise there’s no crunch.

We came here because the restaurant we initially wanted to go to was closed and who knows how that place would have been but the that led us here instead and I just have to say, fantastic breakfast. I love eggs Benedict and I order it almost every time I go out for breakfast and I kick myself almost every time because most places overcook the eggs. The whole point of eggs Benedict is being able to cut the egg and have the yolk drip, one of the few places to have done it right! Plus it was over hash which was sooo yummy. Plus ordered two slices of freshly made bread(apple walnut and cinnamon raisin). Service was pretty good, the food came quickly enough and my cup of coffee never went empty so I can’t really complain. The waitress even gave us a couple pointers of things to do in the area.

This place was awesome! It reminded me of home. Everyone appeared to know each other, there was a lot of laughing and talking, but not too loud. Now let’s talk about the food! My wife ordered French toast on Apple and blueberry bread. Large serving, very filling. I had to finish! I ordered Chrissy’s Omelette, named after the owner. The ingredients are what made me order it! Get ready for it… Fiji apples and onions! Yes I said it apples and onions! It was amazing! It came with hash browns and instead of toast I went with the homemade Cinnamon Raisin bread! The coffee was very good– My wife had 3 cups! Staff was very friendly! You must visit Good Friends Café!!

We had breakfast here twice in our week stay! The home fries are absolutely delicious and well seasoned. I had the red, white, and blue waffle and that was excellent. The fruit was fresh and the waffle itself was crisp. I also had the cinnamon French toast, and that was outstanding! My husband loved his omelet and the options for fillings. He tried the Greek omelette and was impressed. Overall a really great place for breakfast and definitely worth the wait on a busy weekend.

Excellent homemade hash. Friendly service. Very pricey. An omelet with a side of toast is 11 dollars. Add homemade bread and potatoes and you are at 15 dollars. Cash only.

I was supposed to eat at Good Friends years ago. Hit a traffic jam on my way over and just decided to go somewhere closer. Realizing it was my loss, but glad to make up for it now! Classic homey diner, with super friendly staff and cute signs all over the place. Cash only, which is an annoying truth I am coming to terms with about places ’round here. Still wish they’d all get with the program. Surprised at how spartan the bathrooms were. Eggs benny was delicious: perfectly poached eggs, creamy-but-not-too-thick hollandaise, and a super buttery english muffin that may have been homemade. Joe got a breakfast sandwich and asked if he could get extra egg instead of bacon. They definitely did not skimp: it was practically an omelet on a croissant! Homefries were flavorful and well-cooked. Also got the grilled bread bcs everyone raved about it online. Special was Oreo bread, which sounds perverted enough for me! It was beyond decadent. Not overly sweet, just chocolatey and amazing. Waitress was attentive and friendly. When she noticed I didn’t eat my cantaloupe, she said next time to just ask for it to be left out of the fruit cup. Tis a rare server indeed who invites the customer to make such demands! All this plus 2 coffees came to $ 30, which is a wee bit pricey for breakfast, but not unheard of. I maintain that the food/portion size was worth it, and the exceptional service means I’ll be coming back!

We went to Good Friends two years ago based on Unilocal reviews. The waffles were amazing but the homemade hash was littered with things that should have been trimmed out before cooking(I’ve made it scratch many times). Can’t remember the service. Overall meh or less. The positive reviews kept piling up and it’s so close to where we live I wanted to come back. We have found so many great places because of Unilocal I was sure in it’s ability to provide insight beyond our individual dining experience. We went off season(no wait) and ordered relatively simple breakfast dishes(wary frm our previous experience). The service was great and the food was solid. If we had ordered more complicated food, I would give a better rating, but how do you give 5 stars for a poached egg on toast? From the banter between staff and patrons you can tell there are a lot of regulars. Will be back and will bring an appetite and update my review. PS, this place is small and gets very busy in and off season. Personally we will only wait more than 30 minutes for a few places. This may be that kind of place, but not in our experience.

Loved our experience at Good Friends Café. We visited low season on a weekend. The welcome reception by all was wonderful. The menu is huge and the selection, impressive. We scored a nice booth and settled in. Service was flawless, unhurried and efficient. Coffee and hot water for tea, flowed. They have real maple syrup, green tea and fresh veggies(for omelettes) as well as chicken breakfast sausages. All of the above matter to me, a very picky breakfast person. Prices were a bit high(3.50 for one maple smoked chicken sausage) but worth it all. I had the 3 egg omelette with spinach cheese and mushrooms. It was tasty. The home fries weren’t as crispy as I like. I had the grilled cranberry walnut bread(1.99 extra and their specialty). It was delicious but meant to be shared as quite decadent. My man had the Irish omelette with potatoes and hash. He loved it. It was so wonderful to be welcomed and cared for by all. This is by far the friendliest breakfast spot mid Cape. Price with tip was 52.00. Can’t wait to go back. Cash only!

My first day in Cape Cod, and we chose the best breakfast place! This café was perfect! It was small-town, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! They are famous for their grilled bread, and I have to say, you need this in your life! Don’t leave without getting it! I had the linguica with eggs and potatoes, and it was all tasty. The linguica was really good. Loved it. I had the chocolate Oreo grilled bread. Omg! Best. Thing. Ever. Totally unique and delicious! It was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and moist bread on the inside with amazing chocolate flavor. The prices were also on point, you just have to pay with cash, which is just a minor inconvenience, since they have an ATM in the restaurant. This place is a must go for breakfast in Dennis Port!

Oh wowwww were the Unilocalers right about this place! This is by far one of the better places to have breakfast/brunch. Even on a random Wednesday at 11am, there was a 20 minute wait but be sure, it’s totally worth it. We tried a varied mix of things here ranging from the fresh homemade blueberry muffins to their special cinnamon raisin and blueberry apple grilled breads. Then for our main meals, I enjoyed their sauteed vegetable eggs benedict and my daughter who tried their croissant with egg and cheese thought it was absolutely amazing. My friend loved his corned beef hash and over easy eggs so much that he ordered a second meal of the same kind. Yes you heard that right! All were served with their masterfully seasoned home fries. It just had that extra special oomph we’ve never tasted before and probably will never again unless we trek back down there. 5 stars all the way.

An above average diner experience. Adorable spot, convenient location, attentive service and food a notch above typical. Pricing was a little steep but everything in the Cape is, there was no wait when we came at height of breakfast time which made me wary, but it seemed to really pick up after we were finished. We even beat the early birds. I recommend the pancakes, they were flawless.

Fast and friendly service, delicious food, and the most spectacular slice of cinnamon raisin bread I’ve ever had. My eggs were cooked perfectly and my fiancé said the French toast was in the top three he has ever had. So that’s a huge compliment there! I would have given this place 4.5 stars because the coffee cups were quite stained on the inside. But my experience as a waitress told me to give them some credit because I know that no matter how many times you run a coffee cup through the dishwasher, the stains can remain. I highly recommend getting a slice of their apparently famous grilled bread because it is so good. It was basically a giant cinnamon roll(lol!) A must-try if you’re near mid-cape!

I agree w/the reviews that describe Good Friends Café as overpriced — but, what eatery isn’t overpriced on Cape Cod?! I live in New York City, one of the priciest places on the planet, and can spend less for [a better] breakfast than anywhere I’ve been on the Cape. Don’t go here, or anywhere else on Cape Cod, expecting anything great. When I visit my family in South Yarmouth, the best breakfast I can find is the one that’s cooked in my great auntie’s kitchen. The coffee at Good Friends is your average watered-down, weak, small town diner variety. The food is definitely a step above the coffee but still nothing worth writing a rave review about. The service was on point and friendly. I posted some recent pics of the menu so folks know what they’re getting themselves into before driving over to West Dennis.
