Eh… Waba is only good in my opinion when they aren’t drenching your food in their marinade like crazy & even then, I do not like their hot sauces. Normally I simply ask for no sauce on top & put my own hot sauce on it so it’s no big… But that only works when an employee is attentive. When I asked the girl working tonight for no sauce on top she immediately responded«It’s already marinated» in an annoyed tone… So I clarified saying«I know that» obviously«I mean no extra sauce on top». Wouldn’t have even bothered me all that much had she chosen to put in my order that way, but she clearly did not as my food came out drenched in their magic sauce… I can’t stand that Waba attempts to keep this«healthy» image but dumps extra sugary syrup on top of your food as if that’s not an issue… So lame…

These guys ALWAYS get my order wrong. This time I made it a point to check the bag before I left, and they gave me white rice instead of brown. When I brought it to their attention they said, «sorry we are all out». I asked them, «were you going to tell me or just let me find out at home like always?» Seemed sneaky and deliberate.

Visited this location today the food was great the only thing is that their debit card was not working and they didn’t tell me ahead of time when I placed a phone order.

Compared to the other locations I frequent, this one is the least friendly and dirtiest, especially the floor and the condiment area. Service is average and place can get pretty crowded. Also feels like seating is tight(tables too close together) when it gets busy. My least favorite location, but food is good, hence the 3 stars.

My low score is for one reason, it’s extremely dirty in this location. We came in on a early Saturday and there were about two customers inside. We ordered and waited for our food about 15 minutes, during that time, maybe 1 customer came in. It wasn’t busy at all. However, the floors were filthy; food stuck to my shoes from walking around. The tables were dirty, the front door was covered in black from all the people touching it, it doesn’t look like it had been clean in awhile. I took my son to the restroom to clean his hands and it was dirty in there too. The food itself was fine, but because of how dirty everything was, we won’t return to this location.

This place is never consistent. One visit it’s great tasting food taste fresh and looks delicious and the next visit I get food that taste like it’s been sitting in the refrigerator for days and avocado that’s dark and spotty.

2 stars because i dont want to be a complete douche about it but not a fan of this location… vegetables tasted so off they need to clean their whatever they use to cook it. The steak on my sisters plate did taste burnt and the chicken is so thinly sliced you could barely taste it. Disappointed compare this location to the one in city of industry or rowland heights on gale ave and fullerton and you’ll see for yourself. doubt I’ll be coming here again. And it’s so small you can barely navigate around the drinks or sauces.

Love their chicken and salmon bowl with brown rice and green onions. Waba Grill is one the places to go for a healthier choice. Friendly staff, clean area, great choice!

Love this place! The service is always pretty fast, the staff is always friendly. even when they tell you that they no longer have sriracha! That’s right. apparently Waba is no longer carrying sriracha at their locations and instead serving their own version of the garlic rooster sauce. except their version honestly is not all that great. Sorry Waba, just doesnt cut it. The texture is a bit more watery and you really taste a sweetness. Not sure what it is but. it’s not cute. Luckily I have my lil keychain sriracha bottle(google it), and you guys cook your veggies to almost the tperfect consistency — so I’ll be coming back for sure!

Waba has a great taste to there food. I usually get the chicken well done with brown rice. Fast service and clean. I like that they have tables out side.

I only have three stars because it’s inconsistent. When the older Hispanic guy is cooking and cutting the chicken it is very good. There are other times however my chicken has been in mostly strands and looks like it wasn’t prepared with much care.

Nothing too special, but definitely better than Yoshinoya. I had a half & half bowl of chicken(dark meat) and steak yesterday, and it was very filling. I think I could almost split it into 2 light meals if I really wanted to, which would save me both money and calories! I personally liked the steak better; some pieces of chicken were a little on the dry side. Bowls are about $ 5 – 6 so it’s a pretty good deal. They claim to not cook in oil and be low in calories, among other healthy things, so you feel a little better about what you’re eating. Hopefully it’s all true, because this could be a very quick and healthy lunch on the go.

The sign says this place closes at 9:30 but by 8:50 all of the outside seating had been dismantled and all of the chairs inside were on top of the tables except the one I was sitting on. Staff was visibly annoyed every time another customer walked in after 9:00. The customer after me was discouraged from ordering what he asked for because it «takes 20 minutes». Food was meh. Just another Hawaiian BBQ place.

I like WaBa Grill. But this location… eh. The service here is pretty lousy. Some cashiers are nice, while others have this«when does my shift end» mentality. I seem to run in to the latter more often. I also feel like the customers aren’t the priority here. They have to get one thing done before helping the customer. It kind of sucks, especially when people have lunch breaks and can’t afford any wasted time. The location is rather dirty as well. Spilled soda, lids, and condiments EVERYWHERE. Disgusting. However, other than that, I like the food at WaBa Grill. I always get a chicken bowl with white rice. Chicken is cooked and shredded perfectly and the teriyaki isn’t overly sweet. I also like how they stress the healthy benefits that come with cooking their food. I mean, I personally don’t come here because it’s healthy(let’s be real). I come cause their teriyaki chicken is good. And let’s not forget the extra green onions and the jalapeños/carrots escabeche. They make the teriyaki chicken bowls a million times better. 2 stars for the food. This location has a lot to fix. I mean, Flame Broiler isn’t that far…

I randomly came to WaBa Grill after drinking a 64 ounce bottle of water… Yes, I drank too much water after the gym and I needed to use the bathroom, so I came here. I ended up talking to the people at the front counter and I ended up ordering the chicken teriyaki plate with veggies. WaBa Grill prides itself on having no oil, fats, grease, and being a healthy teriyaki joint. The chicken was very tasty, good quality of meat, and just the right amount of honey teriyaki flavor. It came with a salad with ginger sesame dressing and some pieces of sliced fruit on the side. Overall this place has great Teriyaki and its healthy, so I will definitely be coming back! I will make sure that the next time I come, I don’t end up drinking 64 ounces of water ! :)

This has plenty of parking and a great alternative to greasy food. This location is very generous with the avocado then other locations though. It was a bit on the plain side and the bowls flavours didn’t go well altogether. I was expecting for the brown rice along with meat and veggies to capture me like at other ones but it didn’t. Service was pretty friendly. P. s. avocado was so smooth and creamy.

2 stars because the service was very nice. Food, not so much and I probably won’t go back because of it. Sad, because I love the fact they have salmon on the menu. However, the food tasted bland, and the sticky bottles of hot sauce and teriyaki were just gross. I hated their teriyaki sauce – it tasted really chemically and too much ginger– blech! Lunch date got the chicken and veg bowl, but hardly any veg and really sinewy pieces of chicken. Me no likey. It was uncomfortable to sit inside, its teeny tiny and squished feeling. I like the food at Flame Broiler better, more flavor. The sauces are also better. And its cleaner.
