The Disney Store

I like looking in the store, but I very rarely buy anything. Recently though I bought a cup for my sister. The cups used to be buy one get one half off, but now they are $ 9 so I got it for her.

Unbelievable behavior by an employee of a company that is built on customer service and satisfaction. My 14 year old son was in the store looking at a shelf of stuffed animals and was approached by a staff member named Mariana and accused of attempting to shoplift. He denied it and she stated she saw him put a toy in the pocket of his sweatshirt. He told her he didn’t have anything and she adamantly stated that he had it in his pocket and called a manager over. After stating he did not take anything and showing the manager the inside of his pockets the manager apologized. How is it that an employee is permitted to embarrass customers and make up stories regarding witnessing a shoplifting attempt that she never could have witnessed because it didn’t happen. A call to the store just resulted in more apologies and a change in the story of what happened. I asked to see security footage so I could see what she misinterpreted and I was told they don’t have video cameras in the store which is hard to believe. Perhaps an employee profiling a teenager, assuming they must be committing a crime. You should really make sure that you saw a theft occurring before publicly embarrassing and falsely accusing someone of a theft.

This is the Disney Store closest to my house and with 5 year old twin girls I frequent it often. I have received excellent customer service 90% of the time. Cast members have ordered items online for me that they do not carry in the store or that they do not have the size I need. Shipping is free so I love that. The few times I haven’t received great service was once because a girl was new and didn’t know how to do the return and the other time I think the girl was just having an off day (it happens to all of us). Overall it’s a smaller store but I can usually always find what I need and if not I am able to have them order it for me online.

I went to The Disney Store in West Covina, CA. on Aug. 2, 2015 to purchase a Star Wars tshirt for my son. My daughter and grand daughter were with me and my grand daughter, whos 11 months, had a ball in her stroller that was purchased the day before at another Disney store that didn’t have the star wars shirt we were looking for. Before my daughter pushed the stroller into the store, I went in and informed a «cast member» that we had the ball and were bringing it in with us. She thanked me for letting her know and welcomed us into the store. We found the shirt we were looking for and shopped around a little more. The whole time we were shopping we were being followed around the store by an employee while she was whispering (loud enough that we heard) the phrase «diamond in the rough». We didn’t know what it meant but she made it clear she was referring to us. We made our purchases and as soon as we left the store this «cast member» named Andrea ran (I’m not exaggerating, they can check the video) after us and stated in front of tons of other customers, «Are you going to pay for that ball in your stroller?» Needless to say it was humiliating as other customers stopped to look at us like we were common thieves. I informed her that we’d came in with the ball and pointed out the «cast member» that we had informed that we had the ball and Andrea said «oh ok» and turned and walked back in the store without so much as an apology.

The store is like all the other Disney stores. Usually packed and kids everywhere. The ladies were really nice asking if we needed help, and also gave my niece a Disney pin and sticker. It’s halloween time and they always have the cutest costumes ever!

A standard Disney store with a decent amount of stuff. It was fun to look in, but we bought only one small thing.

I don’t get how the ratings are so low. This store was like all other Disney stores in the other close by malls so it’s pretty standard. The cast members were very nice and helped look in the back for what I came in looking for, and had some in Stock.
I don’t think it’s fair to blame the store for their prices when they don’t even determine it. Just saying.

Was disappointed by the poor customer service, walked in and got attitude by a cast member named Pierre, I was surprised by how rude he was. Never shopping here again. Such behavior tarnish the company name.

Neat and old traditional Disney stuff. Not a lot of stuff you can buy. its a quick stop better than going to downtown Disney to buy Disney stuff

This place is a disappointment. What ever happened to the overwhelming awesomeness that the Disney Store used to provide? This store was slim pickings over all. I was looking for something for my nephew since his birthday is coming up so we ventured into the store. There was a small selection of toys available, and they were all expensive. There were hardly any specials and or sales on toys. The clothing selection was also sparse and over priced. It used to be that you could walk into the Disney Store and be dazzled with an overstocked inventory of toys, books, movies, costumes and clothing from a large variety of items from different Disney movies. Sadly, this is no longer the case. Now that you can purchase Disney items from a variety of department stores and mass merchandise stores for discount prices, the Disney Store seems to have fizzled. I guess I need to just stick to World of Disney in Downtown Disney or the Emporium at Disneyland to be wowed with the Disney shopping experience.
