My wife was looking of a leisure bicycle to ride around the Rose Bowl. Both of us knew nothing about bikes so we thought we’d consult someone at the sporting good store for advice. I was impressed with the salesperson that he serviced their bikes as well as sell them. Good place to start so I thought. He asked us what she wants to use it for and immediately suggested a $ 650+ ladies’ bike. I was shocked. My wife said that is over her budget, and he suggested a $ 400+ bike. Hmmm. Apparently, leisure riding on flat grounds comes with a big price tag. I didn’t know that. I asked the saleperson if he can suggest a Jr bike since my wife is short and wanted a shorter bike for safety reasons. He immediately answered they only have mountain bikes for BMX riding and doesn’t really carry Jr bikes. Hmm. I had a few more questions but he already turned to help someone else in the middle of our conversation. Silly Wabbit, bikes are NOT for kids?
