First they take forever to bring me my order and then they mess up on my order. I asked to cancel it all together. I’m not going to pay for my food to take forever and in the end it not being what I want. Walking out upset and still hungry. or should I say hangry?

I like the new and upgraded interior. I’m not sure how long ago they renovated, but it definitely showed that I have not been here in awhile?! The place may be newer, but the food seemed a bit lackluster. The bbq chicken was uninspiring, but at least they offer brown rice. In hindsight, the employees are welcoming, which make up for the food. I may return to try another dish to give this place another chance?!

I used to say the same thing about the service that a lot of Unilocalers say, it wasnt the greatest. A lot of the time when they get busy, theres only 2 waitresses working and hustling to take orders, serve food, top dishes, make specialty drinks and tend to everyones needs. I don’t believe this is due to their fault. Working for a company with high customer service standards and not enough staffing, you learn to show more appreciation towards establishments like this. They really do work hard! I come into this restaurant, greeted with a smile and they are wonderful. They need to feel appreciated! The food here is always good! Fried wontons, egg rolls, house fried rice, pad thai and a thai iced tea with boba to finish!

Really bad bad bad service here! We sat down for 5 mins, no one help us to order, the whole restaurant only had 3 tables. I don’t know why they looks like so busy. I ask for server, She walked to me and said” WHAT!!!” I said I need a high chair and need to order. She brought the high chair and tell me that I don’t have time for order, ok!!! Really bad experience!

I do have to admit that the service here isn’t as great as it could be due to the services that the waitresses provide… the food however is very good… this Thai restaurant is mine and my friends favorite spot to go to when we want Thai food… we both normally will either order chicken over rice, a beef salad, Pad Thai Pad See eww, or tom yum soup to name a few… I’ve been coming here for many years and continues to still come here

I have been coming here for almost since it opened. Its mine and all my best friend’s favorite Thai spot. From dining in there for lunch or dinner or late night Thai Tea Boba runs. I have so many fond memories of this place. Until recently, yesterday. A friend & I were hungry and wanted Thai. So, why not go to my favorite Thai place? And we did. Walked in around 730PM. It wasn’t busy, a few families enjoying their dinner. We sat ourselves and was greeted with a half-ass welcome. As if they didn’t want more customers to come in. A When we looked at the table, there was a huge glimmer of oil smeared. We asked the waitress if she can just wipe it down. Her response, ‘You sure you just don’t wanna sit anywhere else? Theres other tables you can sit at and its cleaner.’ Oh my god. I almost lost it. My thought after she said that, ‘This bitch really just did all of that.’ And we told her, ‘No, we want to sit here. Can you just get a rag and wipe it down, please?’ She comes with the wettest rag and barely cleans it, leaving us to use the napkins to dry our damn table. After debating if the girl was gonna get tip for her shitty attitude and shitty service. We ended up taking our business elsewhere. So, we went to the sushi restaruant next door. And lord, that place honestly made up for Krua Thai’s shitty service. Our server walked us through the menu and the service was off the charts. Ever had sushi AND chow mein at the same time? It was a beautiful experience. 1 thing I wanna add is that there is this one very nice lady that went above and beyond for us. Probably the only good thing about Krua Thai is her.

Wow! This place has really changed since my last review. The worker’s attitudes are so much friendlier now and the service is so fast. They have really improved :) I have been there so many times now. Great price. Nice décor. Clean restroom. The waitresses seem rather shy but they are nice.

There were plenty of seats in the restaurant and their service was fast. The prices of each item was cheap with each entrée about $ 10 or less. We ordered the chicken satay as the appetizer, and green curry with beef and pad thai kru thai as the entrees. That was plenty of food for 3 people and we had to a lot of leftover. The chicken satay was highly recommended! The chicken breast was very tender and flavorful and it could stand alone without any sauce. However, their satay sauce was too sweet so I didn’t use too much of it. The green curry was delicious! We had medium spicy level and it enhances the green curry flavor! It came with a lot of rice(large rice). However, the Pad thai Kru Thai was too sweet. They gave too much sauce so that it was too sweet and too much flavor all at once. They could have cut down on the sauce by more than ½ and it should have been fine.

I have heard all the craze about this restaurant but was sadly let down. I’m not sure if it’s because of my expectations for this place, but the food is probably just not for me. One thing pushed me to come and write this review was the customer service. The other waitresses are fine, but it’s one particular waitress with glasses that seems to have absolutely no manners and I have no idea HOW she got the job. My boyfriend and I have come a few times, opting to try and give them chance after chance. First time she was very lazy, dragged her feet and made us feel extremely unwelcomed and doesn’t know what a smile is. I excused this as maybe she didn’t have good rest or was having a bad day. Next time, we came back, she didn’t even notice us come in! We were left waiting for almost 10 minutes before we were even served! And today, what truly pushed me to write this– our table was full and wanted the check and to go boxes and when we called her, she told us to wait, sat down, and began eating away and scrolling on her phone! What kind of customer service is this? This the last time I am coming back to deal with this kind of service.

The food is pretty good here. Pad thai and seafood soup had a good flavor. Customer service on the other hand, sucked! Waitress was rude and when we paid she just kept the change and tipped herself. Not cool. Giving them one star because food was good.

Thought I’d try this place out since my friend recommended it. Bad choice, if you’re into bland food with no taste you should definitely come here. This isn’t Thai food. Such a disappointment and the service is bad.

When this place first opened, my parents were happy that Covina had a decent Thai restaurant. However, over the years the quality of food declined. It looks like they recently renovated a few months ago. After a few recent trips it looks like it’s getting better. They usually have good Pad Kee Mao(Drunken Noodles). The wide rice noodles are slicked in oil and have that«wok hei» smokiness that only a commercial restaurant burner can provide. It’s spicy, garlicky and hits the spot. However, on my last trip the flavor seemed to be off. The Khao Neua Op(Braised Beef on Rice) is also a solid order. I love the chile sauce that comes with it; it’s salty, sour, spicy and a bit sweet. I’m pretty sure that the beef is frozen since I doubt that they get many customers that order it, but it still tastes fantastic. The Khao Kha Muu(Pork hock leg) was ok, but the meat was dry and flavorless when it was supposed to be soft and full of that Chinese braised spice flavor. The sauce that came with it was good though; its another version of that fish sauce-chile mixture. They do sauces well here. Tod Mun Pla(Fried fish cake) is also always a solid order. The fish cakes are nice and chewy and go well with the cucumber peanut salad. The Thai Boat Noodles are fine and come with all the appropriate offal(tendon/liver) but the broth lacks the funky depth of a good bowl of Thai Boat Noodles. They need to put more pork blood so that it’s thicker like Sapp Coffee Shop. Service is fine; they are usually straight to the point. I tend to stick to certain dishes that I know they will do well here, but it looks like even on some days, the flavor can be a little off. Still, it’s the best/most authentic Thai restaurant in Covina.

First I would like to say the food here is not that bad but their customer service sucks!!! The 2 ladies up in the front were very rude and had no manners at all. Note: please don’t be a server if you’re going to give your customer an attitude for asking what’s the difference between the two dishes! It was just a simple question. No need to be huffing and puffing like I’m asking for an essay!

I remember coming to this particular restaurant because of the soups! A couple years back, I thought the food was delicious and since I happened to be in town and was craving Thai food, I thought I would try it out… Upon walking in, I was greeted to dirty plates at several of the tables and had to walk around to find a clean table(which there wasn’t one) and finally one of the servers saw me and hurried to clean a table to get us seated. She handed me a dirty and sticky, laminated menu with some dried up rice on it(disgusting) I ordered a chicken pad Thai. With what I’ve experienced so far, I didn’t even dare to try something else out. I was scared I might get sick or better yet find something in my plate The food itself was plated pretty and then I dug in the noodles. The noodles with looked more like angel hair pasta rather than egg noodles. They were dry and there was more bean sprout and green onions than actual noodles. The one thing I liked was that the chicken was cooked all the way through and surprisingly there was a lot. I’ve been to several Thai places before and no matter if you got a lunch special or an entrée, you got the full dish, some rice, and a salad or soup to accompany it… They charge you extra here… I can’t begin to understand how you have 4 servers for the entire restaurant, you have 5 tables being used and the rest(probably 7) are full of dirty plates which are stacked up and the servers are by the register talking. It’s disgusting! The one thing I did like was that this one particular server would walk by and make sure everything was good for everyone and that our water cups were full. That the only reason why I’m giving it 2 stars.

Okay… Wow! They went up another star in my book. I don’t often give 5 star ratings, but I really feel they’ve earned it. They have been working on this restaurant a little bit every night after it closes and the improvements are AMAZING! The colors, décor, lightening, and music are warm and inviting… Hip and modern. I would have no problem bringing a dinner or lunch date here now… I mentioned the bathrooms needed a face lift, and they sure are getting it. 5 stars for atmosphere! The food is still amazing. I consistently get the Pad see ew, panang, and pad Thai dishes… All great. I really can’t tell you how wonderful the pad see ew is … Such a tasty combination of sweet and spicy. If you try it and don’t like it… Let me know why. I’d be curious to know! The dishes are under $ 9.00 each… So not a bad deal for the taste and atmosphere! The service has always been great here. We are frequently checked on, never have to ask for refills. Patti… You’re amazing! I love it when you’re here to help us have a great experience. Thank you for always providing superior service! Now stand by for some sexy pics:

Good Thai food(4 stars) Often call the order and pick up dinner when visiting Mom. Pad Thai, Pad Se Yu, Chicken Satay, Eggplant with pork. All delicious, and very convenient. I call, and ready for pick up about 10 min later.

Item ordered: Kai Jiew(omelet with ground pork) I have been here many times, so this review is only for this particular visit. Normally I like the food here a lot more, so I will probably revise this review after the next time, but for now, I’m giving it 3 stars… it would probably be closer to 2 ½ stars, but there’s no option for that. I called in the order for the omelet. I love eggs, so I only had the craving for the omelet. I’ve ordered it a few times before, but this time I was disappointed. If you look at my picture, the egg looks very overcooked, and that’s what it was… overcooked. I have a picture from another time I came here and the omelet looked a lot better in the previous pic. Flavor-wise, I feel this time there was less pork in there, and it was a little too oily. This will not deter me from coming back, but yea, this time was a little disappointing.

Located inside of the Hong Kong Plaza along with other restaurants I’ve already tried so I decided to give this place a try. This place was also recommended to me by someone I had met at the Vet. Supposedly it’s good according to that person. So I placed my order over the phone and it was a good thing I had asked her whether they accept cards. She mentioned that there’s a minimum of $ 10 for cc usage. I went in to pick up my order and the girl at the register was not friendly at all. She did not provide any customer service. There was no greeting nor smile and she almost dropped all of my change on the table. When I got back to work and opened up the to go box, I noticed that my pad see ew with tofu was very greasy. I also noticed that some of the noodles were burnt. My pad see ew was super sweet, as if they had put sugar in it. I’ve had better pad see ew at other Thai restaurants. I couldn’t even eat it. So disappointed with my lunch. In the trash it went. I would not come back here for their pad see ew. Maybe I’ll try other items on their menu next time. Hopefully it’s not as bad as their pad see ew.
