I was only in town for the weekend and developed an ear problem. The staff was friendly and efficient. I signed in, presented ID and proof of insurance, waited a very short time(Saturday mid-morning), was seen, problem taken care of and I was out of there! I was so grateful and would recommend the Little Clinic highly

Long waits, high prices, less than helpful staff, and wrong diagnosis. The nurse was sure I did not have an infection, despite more than a few symptoms screaming«this is an infection!!!» Instead of an antibiotic she prescribed a nasal steroid, saying my sinuses were inflamed. How that causes a fever I have no idea… I must have missed that day in pharmacy school. Fast forward 6 hrs to 11pm when I am on the phone with an emergency dentist describing to him the same symptoms… his response«you obviously have an abcessed tooth, why didn’t you go see someone that could give you antibiotic during the day? You are about 6 hours from needing iv antibiotics!!» I got some cephalexin and got better fast. Unfortunately my work needed documentation of my Bp check from that day. So I went back with the papers 90% completed, all that was needed was a signature. I had the papers from my appointment showing my bp, so they didn’t even have to pull up my chart info. The assistant paged the nurse to the clinic twice, she came back after 20 min, 10 min before they closed and said they would have to charge me $ 10 for her time to sign my form. I explained my previous botched visit and she just smiled and said there was nothing she could do, she had to charge me for the signature. As a pharmacist, I encouraged her to walk over to the pharmacy and have a conversation with the store’s pharmacist in charge… knowing that they could try to help her understand that even with tons of safeguards in place, honest mistakes still happen, and when they do, the best course of action is to avoid further insult after an error has been discovered. Needless to say, I won’t go back, and the little clinic is the least favorite part of my local Kroger store.
