Nails & Beyond

I’ve been going to this location for many years. They have always been kind and do great work. They’ve semi-​recently did a remodel and it looks beautiful.

I’ve been going for 7 years. I love the same girl that I go to each time but when she’s not working some of the other technicians do not do quality work. My nails have broken two days later with the acrylic. I take care of my nails and wear gloves, etc… their prices went up as well.

The only reason I’ve ever gone back here is pure convenience and I am so mad at myself when I do! Most of the techs do an okay job but when they are very busy, the owner Mary will fill in. Pray that you do not get her, especially if you are a walk-​in! She is preoccupied with how the business is running and seems to be constantly yelling at her employees in Chinese. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure she is nice and I understand that as the owner of the salon you need to make sure it is running efficiently, but it is not fair to the customer you are working on. She left me 2 – 3 times during both my pedicure and manicure. Also, I’m not sure that she is proficient in color gel nails — the two times she has done them for me my nails are tacky because she does not allow them to sit in the UV light long enough.
Here is the bottom line: it is convenient. But if you want a quality mani/​pedi, skip this place! Or at the very least consider waiting for the next available technician if the owner tries to do your nails.
