My son is a WCU student renting an apartment from McCool properties. What a nightmare. They are sending utility bills for heat/​hotwater for 3 months when the gas was not on. There are totals that don’t add up to line items. The best part is they are billing all 5 apartments on one bill which is not in the lease. Do not rent from this group unless you have a good lawyer.

By far the most horrible company to rent from. The staff is not knowledgable about what’s going on, if you get an answer after calling everyday you’ll get a different answer for the same questions. Apartments are not in the best condition and was given to me in horrible condition, dirty carpets, walls falling apart, nails hanging out and the kitchen and bathroom was disgusting. We gave the apartment back in a better condition then what it was given to us and still were treated with disrespect from the «management». Rent is unreasonably high for what you get but ours was always paid on time and they still failed to give us our security deposit. They think because they rent to college students that they can do whatever they want and then when confronted with students who aren’t stupid they run and hide behind emails and voicemails. Would not recommend to anyone renting for the West Chester area.
