No. I was in Dayton and needed some stress relief and headed out for a gel manicure and regular pedicure to relax. Magic Nails was relatively close and when I called they said they could take a walk-in and a gel manicure was $ 20 so I was pretty pumped. They had decent roller chairs and it seemed clean. I was surprised that a basic pedicure was $ 30 — I’m used to getting some type of scrub or masque for that price back in CA but went for it anyway. The tech was OK but really dug into the sides of the nail and caused some bleeding — never a good thing in a nail shop. When selecting my gel color I wanted OPI as it works better on my nails but they had an extremely limited selection. I opted for Gelish and was already regretting my decision since the bottles were obviously the older design. After selecting my color I was asked if I wanted a manicure. Um, isn’t that what I am doing? Apparently not because when I got my bill it was $ 19 for the manicure and $ 20 for the gel polish. WTF yo. When I asked the guy said most people just want their nails painted and no manicure. Well, now I know why this place was dead on a Sunday afternoon. My total charge for a sub-par pedi, a lame mani with uneven nails, and old Gelish polish that peeled off in a week was just over $ 80 with tip. Waste of money, never again. DFTBA ~ chase
