A lot of cool stuff but pricey. I purchased a knife there only to find out it was nearly $ 30 more than most other retailers. Sorta my fault for not doing my research, but that is rather outrageous of an increase. I’m happy with the knife and proud to support local business although it’s reason like this why more people move to online shopping

Really neat and genuinely interesting stuff. Not a tourist trap with knockoff stuff, but an actual surplus shop. Everything from de-​armed and inert grenades, to 20 mm shells (5 $, not too bad at all) and even old artillery gunsights ($$$$$$$)
A really cool place ran by an interesting guy.

I was apprehensive about going in there, because alot of the reviews stated the man behind the counter was rude. Nope. Not rude. He was helpful, not teddy bear cuddly, more like porcupine cuddly. He was military. I was an unintentional idiot twice, and he still had the patience to help me and my son. I wish I spent more time looking around, but I got the backpack my boy wanted and we were gone. I will go back. My son wants a canteen to go with his backpack for school. Prices were pretty good. Cheaper than the identical item on the web. So, don’t be afraid to go in.

I had a great experience with Metro West Surplus. I live in NC. My son had gone into the store and placed an item on layaway there. Within the week my son was hospitalized. I did not have a receipt for him as he was in MA and I was in NC. I contacted the store via Facebook and let them know that I was looking to pay off the layaway and I wanted the item to be shipped so my son so that he could have it when he got out of the hospital. Metro West found his receipt, contacted me and allowed me to pay it over the phone. They then went to the post office to make sure I could get this done for my son. It was the day before Christmas.
I feel that this store went out of their way to delight the customer. I had a GREAT experience and would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. AlI can say is Thank You Metro West!!!
