A nice little place to get a few beers and tasty pub fair. I had a nice sandwich and flight with a great assortment of beers. The staff was very friendly and the area around the pub was beer inviting.

Fantastic! Friday fish fry was great. We had 3 meals: baked cod fish, breaded cod and breaded shrimp. All were wonderful! Cole slaw was also very good and their rye bread was excellent. Service was great and food was delivered quickly! The staff was attentive to us!

Friday night fish fry was good. Fish was not greasy. Nice dry batter with the usual coleslaw, rye bread, and potato. Staff friendly. Relaxed atmosphere.

By far the best restaurant in West Bend! Great food and wonderful service. The owner is very involved and always making sure his customers are happy. My only request? I would LOVE for them to bring their cheese sauce back. It was always a must with my fries!

They were great about accommodating our large group on short notice. Both food and service were great and prices were very affordable. Our dance competition group had a great time!

Wonderful to work with even for a large party. They split the check numerous ways. They even allowed us to bring in a cake for my 40th birthday party. Alex was a great server who attended to the wishes of all people who came in our party of 20. Wednesday night they have their fish fry as well as the regular menu. Try the specialty beers they brew here as well as their own orange cream and root beer.

Love the vegetarian selections they offer. Good choice of beers. Friendly staff. Like the atmosphere. Like the outdoor seating as well. In WI, I like to eat outside when I eat at restaurants, since we can’t during the winter months.

Food(by West Bend standard) is good. If you venture out just a little further south, their food is garbage in comparison(to places like Johnny Manhattan’s or Fox & Hounds). Service is sub-par(with the exception of Kathy who is awesome!) — mostly young/inexperienced or just plain cocky waitstaff with little to no personality. What really drives me nuts about Riverside is the fact that I’ve called at least 4 times in the past year to order take out(website says they serve food until 9pm, bar’s open till midnight. Their Google listing just says midnight), I call at 8pm and every time am told they’re closed early because they were slow. If you’re consistently this slow, CHANGEYOURHOURS! I am done patronizing this establishment; both dine in and carry out. Your loss, we dined with you at least 4 – 6 times a month.

Have only had the Fish Fry(once dine in and once carry out). Had reservations and had to wait a little bit past our time, but had a great fish fry. Seated in the basement and nothing special as far as ambiance goes. Great Cod loins cooked to perfection was the hilight. Great bread and very good coleslaw(although the portion of it was minute… come on, slaw is dirt cheap)!!! Service was good and the beer was cold. One of the better fish fries I’ve had. Love that fish!!! Slammer!!!

This is located on the south side of downtown West Bend just west of the Milwaukee river. This is where it takes an odd Western bend as it passes though town hence the name West Bend. Now you know. I Came here for a tasting of wines beers and appetizers. The entry showcases the brewing equipment on the Right on the left if the rectangular bar with a dining area. We sat at the lower level. which is good for meetings or events. The back patio has a few tables to enjoy the milwaukee river. Service was good, parking was out on the street. The upper area has enough equipment to supply this place with its own supply of freshly made beers. Long ago when I was a kid, I remember coming here as it was one of the 4 places that had fish for pets. So yes it has changed quit a bit. Food 4 Ambiance 5 Service 4 Location 4 Value 4 70⁄2015

This is our new favorite place to go. We have driven past it many times on our way to Casa Tequila, another favorite spot. We always eat at Riverside around 3pm at that time the restaurant is very quiet. Every server we have had has been very good and on top of things. We normally get their homemade root beer and orange cream soda, both are some of the best around. The nachos starter is also good. We have ordered many items off the sandwich and burger portion of the menu and have never been disappointed. The Salmon BLT is my favorite. Don’t leave without trying their beer cheese soup! Best I’ve had. We are always seated in the downstairs dining which has a view of the river, you can even sit outside right by the river. There is a full bar upstairs and a smaller one downstairs. Give this place a try, you’ll love it.

Time for a good dinner for our last night in town. We arrived 8-ish on a Saturday and were seated right away. We got a table downstairs, and would have had a great view of the patio and river if it hadn’t been dark, dreary, and rainy outside. Our server was almost awkwardly friendly– super helpful and overly concerned about checking in on us throughout the meal. We had a couple of cups of soup, the beer cheese and the daily special that was ‘three piggies’ or something like that– three types of pork in a cream base, and both were fantastic. We could have stopped there if we had thought it through, but we already had entrees on the way. The prime rib was decent, the shrimp was a little boring, and the ribs were great. We also got the signature cherries jubilee for dessert(even though I’m not typically much of a cherry person), and they were very good. My bloody mary was very good, just a tiny bit over-spicy for my wimpy palette, but that’s where the beer chaser comes in handy. The hubby’s long island tea was pretty generic, and he ended up getting a bloody for the next round as well. I can see this as a great date night or visiting parents type of place, especially if you’re seated downstairs. As we were leaving, the downstairs section was nearly empty, but upstairs seemed to be getting a little livelier with some live music and a crowded bar. We would definitely want to check out the patio on a nicer evening.

A wonderful dining experience. I was part of a large group on a Saturday night. Great food & service. We sat in the downstairs dining room that lends itself to large groups. They also have patio dining overlooking the river. Live music is featured at certain dates & times. I look forward to dining here again when in the area.

I’ve been here a good handful of times. Each time the drinks were spot on. I’ve had the plank of salmon and a couple of their salads, and have enjoyed the food each time. The greeting staff is outstanding, but the interactions with the servers, actually taking the order, typically left something to be desired. All in all, worth the stop though!

Riverside stepped it up. Sat out back on the patio and enjoyed the Sun. Order bruschetta(still some of the best I’ve ever had) and the Berry Pecan salad, which absolutely blew my mind. Almonds, cranberries, cherry vinaigrette, grilled chicken, and goat cheese(you need to request it over the bleu cheese), it’s wonderful. That being sad, their beers just can’t miss. This place knows beer… they know the hell out of it.

Descriptive phrase: friendly, small-town restaurant/bar. We stopped in at Riverside Brewery and Restaurant on the quaint Main Street in West Bend to try their beer, though their beer cheese soup was a nice snack too. The front bar had plenty of seating for us, and the back and basement was all dining room. I liked the space; nothing too fancy, but still nice and comfortable. Our bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. We tried all of their beers in a flight, and were impressed with the quality and variety. For only brewing for their own restaurant, they do a great job. It’s not just a gimmick. Riverside seems like an authentic small-town place, and it’s worth a quick bite or drink while in West Bend.

We dined at Riverside Brewery. We had reservations for 5:30pm on a Saturday evening. While the food was delicious, the customer service leaves a little bit to be desired. Approximately 10 minutes after we had finished our meal we were approached by who seemed to be the restaurant owner or manager and were asked to leave because they needed the table for another reservation. I get that if you’re busy you want to serve as many people as you can but why not just offer a seat in the bar area so we could finish socializing instead of asking us to leave. I have learned it’s not what you say its how you say it. We will not return to this restaurant.

After spending the morning at the Washington County Fair Grounds, we needed a place for a late lunch so we headed towards town. We went on a Saturday and easily found parking right in front of the building. We walked in and were greeted by a cheery host and we asked if we could sit at the bar. There were plenty of choice seats so we got in plain view of the Badger basketball game on one of the televisions. The bartender asked if we wanted bloody marys so we ordered them. They came with a chaser of our choice and we each chose one of their craft beers. The bloodys and the beers were fantastic. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich and I ordered a chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The chicken was nicely seasoned and the bun was nice and soft. My husband’s sandwich was one of the best he ever had. I got the homemade chips and they are really good. I love those kind of touches instead of throwing bag potato chips on the plate. The bartender was good company, nice and friendly and always available to pour that second beer. We will definitely come back here again when we’re near West Bend.

You had me at beer. We were looking for a place to hang out and decompress that had good food and drinks. As we were driving through downtown West Bend, we came across this little gem and decided to try it out. I love visiting local breweries to sample their fare, and Riverside was no exception. They have a beer flight on their menu, which is 7 beers for a reasonable price. Well, because they have 8 on tap, I got to sample 8 glorious beers. Well, my friends helped sample some as well. So one of the beers they brew is a berry weiss. So the first time we visited, they had a blueberry weiss. But they have all sorts of flavors. The one flavor that we really wanted to try: raspberry. Imagine our surprise when we went back again and that was the flavor of weiss!!! But I digress. Their beer sampler is the way to go. You can try what you want and if you don’t like one, give it to a friend. If you are looking for something to nosh on while enjoying your adult beverages, might I recommend their plethora of appetizers that are on their menu. This is the way to go. Beer and food. Friends and good times.

The Veggie Wrap. It’s the new portabella version and it is delicious. Excellent garlic flavor, drippy, something I would order again in a heartbeat. The fries were overly salty. The service was very nice as is the atmosphere and scenery. I ordered avocado on my sandwich but did not get any. It happens and was removed from my bill. The beer I could not drink was not. The beer is not good. I hate saying that about any place, but this was not a good drinking experience. I ordered the APA and found it lacking in most flavors except diacetyl. Not a common flaw in American pales. My buddy had the Abbey Double and it was bland and lacking any character. My impression from the three beers we tried is that the brewmaster was brewing from a kit with little experience. That’s harsh but my honest opinion.
