We did not experience a very good first impression. We had a good laugh when the bartender asked if I wanted an orange slice with my Blue Moon and just stuck it in the bottle neck, never asking if I would like a glass for my beer. That was not a big deal but I was put off when she took my credit card for the tab we were starting but was less than pleasant as she informed me about the $ 20 minimum for credit card purchases. It was thoughtless and unnecessary since our bill for the first round was $ 19.25 before tip. There was no second round…

We have a cottage across the lake and rediscovered Heileman’s last summer. Although we don’t usually linger, we love to stop by for a pitcher during a day on the lake or a lake bar hop. We park our boat at their dock, even got a tow home from friendly patrons when our pontoon wouldn’t start one afternoon. Pitchers are decently priced, outdoor seating by the sand volleyball court, and they have TVs to watch games. If only it was on the lake for the view, it is across the road. One thing, if you’re carding age, don’t forget your wallet, one time they wouldn’t serve those in our party without their IDs.
