First time visiting, went with friends who were regulars, waited about 15 minutes for table on Saturday nite. Food was good enough depending on what you ordered, place seemed clean. Skip anything with chicken, slimy. Lobster roll and magical roll looked good. Beef satay not bad, coconut shrimp also good. Quality of food was again, just good — not great. Service was horrible, not friendly at all, like we were bothering them. Waited 15 – 30 minutes for items to come, had to ask several times for same items, then was told hibachi not included in all u can eat… hmmm, maybe mention that instead of us waiting and asking for items again. Food kept coming out, but only to the servers taking a meal break, not to us. Were ignored for most of visit. Friends said place is usually better. Not my cup of tea — which by the way, tea was lukewarm at best.

Me and my wife have lived in the area for about two years now so we decided to try this place out finally. We used to live in Bay ridge Brooklyn where the sushi places are abundant, relatively inexpensive and very good. During our time here we have tried about 5 different sushi places, 2 in Farmingdale. We ordered lunch takeout from this place and it was horrible. I ordered a dish that contained what was supposed to be edible pieces of chicken, what I got was these tiny grayish colored pieces of something that had the texture of cartilage!!! The sushi pizza seemed like it was sitting out all day till we called it in, and it was completely covered in tempura crumbs which was not a good thing. The Boston roll had the aftertaste of the inside of a refrigerator! You know that taste of something that’s been in the freezer too long. We will never order from this place again! Hopefully we don’t get food poisoning from the little bit we actually ate.

Not a great experience… I went on a Sunday at 5:30 and although the food is great, the service was extremely slow, the waitress barely understood what we ordered, she messed up twice on our orders and my son choked on sushi where we had to administer the Heimlich and not ONE employee of this establishment came to check on him or see if he was ok!!! What a disgraceful bunch of people!

Been here a couple of times… +sushi appetizer entrees — including the Avocado Bowl, Tiger Eye, Sushi Pizza… just really creative and items that are unique to this spot +variety of entrees and style –service was not good and they added a service charge on a party of five — it could have been just it was a bad time to go(Sunday afternoon) but simple courtesy, attentiveness and respect will go a long way. The service was okay the other time going on a weekday. Service here could use improvement because when I was there they were delayed in bringing items out exactly as ordered and following up with what was being requested and not even bringing out other items that were ordered.

I used to really like Sake Asian as a place to get affordable and really good quality all-you-can-eat sushi, chinese, and hibachi. The last two visits have been horrible enough that I will never, ever come back. The service was abysmal. Waiters and waitresses looked me right in the eye, saw the empty table and the menus away, and continued walking. Never took our order unless we basically called them over and ordered food. The food took an average of 40 minutes to get to the table, and the restaurant was not even close to being full. And also the quality of the food has taken a turn for the worse, borderline disgusting at times. I did talk to the manager on my last visit after waiting 45 minutes for our first sushi order — 6 rolls total. Again, restaurant not busy, 45 minutes for our food. I talk to the manager and we have our plates within 15 seconds. Well, that’s weird. The sushi was lukewarm and had obviously been sitting in the kitchen for a while. He then brought us both free beers to make up for it, but by then we just wanted to get the check and leave. Which we did. And to include gratuity on the bill after that miserable display is just terrible customer service. The visit before this, the bad service and subpar food ruined my brother’s birthday dinner. So basically I’m never coming to Sake Asian again and telling everybody to steer clear of this place. Ichiro down the street seems to be owned by the same company so I’ll probably tell people just to avoid that block of sushi restaurants entirely. I hear Sushi Time in Bethpage is decent…

I love this sushi spot, it is the only all you can eat sushi place I will ever go to again. We have been regulars for half a year now, go here if you’re looking to consume your body weight in really great specialty rolls and hate yourself afterwards. The sauces they use are amazing and everything is fresh.

It’s funny because as I scrolled through the reviews, I actually recognized a few of their own servers giving Sake Asian 5 star reviews. That makes me think maybe the rating and the reviews are somewhat biased. I think it’s cool that they have an all you can eat sushi buffet. But the quality of their sushi rolls really are a lot worse than some al la carte Japanese Sushi restaurants. I guess you get what you paid for. Would I recommend this restaurant to my sushi addict friends? Probably not.

I like this place, the prices are decent and so is the food. The rolls, a great variety of them are overall good. There are some hit and miss items, the teriyaki is slightly bland, but if you’re a fan of rolls and not so much sashimi, this is a great place for it.

This was my first All You Can Eat Sushi place. Everything besides the rolls were pretty small portions. Fish quality didn’t seem bad. I had 3 rolls, all were pretty good. The Alaskan Roll was a great size. The service was poor. They are inattentive, and 2 people we were with never got their rolls. They had to ask after 30 minutes where they were. No exaggeration on the time. We also asked for split checks and all our food was put on one. We pointed it out and they were pretty keen on us figuring it out as appose to just separating them. Pretty sure it was because they included 18% gratuity since we were a party of 6 or more. My thought is, don’t be an all you an eat sushi place if you’re going to be cheap about it.

For an ALLYOUCANEAT its very good, especially for the price. My husband and I split an amazing avocdoa bowl filled with spicy tuna… delicious and a sushi pizza also delicious. We ordered four pieces of salmon, which were OK. Then on to the rolls, speciality rolls = Valentine, Spicy Girl, Godzilla, Spicy Tuna and one other I can’t recall. WE thought we would order additional rolls, but e were filled and vey happy. The service was OK not very attentive servers, one better than the other. All in all a very good dining experience. Definitely going back !!!

For a place that specializes in Sushi, not close to authentic. Didn’t have many common fish that are standard in true Japanese sushi restaurants i.e., Mackerel(saba)… They make many diverse and tasteless rolls, that seems to be their speciality… but many of these were bland, and similar in taste… roll up some rice, crunch stuff, and some bland fish, drizzle on a spicy mayo… Wallah! and there ya go «Rainbow-Crunch Dragon-Head Silly-Spider Roll» Only reason for two stars is there appetizer or fried rock shrimp was pretty solid… Probably best to drive by this joint…

The service was horrible. Waitress was inattentive. Never came back to refill the drinks. All you can eat sushi is not good at all. Will rather order from a la carte restaurants. This place is far from a five star restaurant. I don’t understand where are all these five star good reviews coming from, maybe the owner wrote them himself or asked friends to write them.

Wow! I was taken here the other night and all I can say is I wish I’d heard about this place sooner. The assortment is quite large and the all-you-can-eat deal is fantastic. I wish I had more room to try more things but hey, there’s always next time and there WILL be plenty of that in the future!

Delicious rolls. First time ordering from here and I’m pleasantly surprised. The rolls are fresh and the miso soup is delicious as well. Will order from them again for sure.

Really good sushi spot. The place is clean and to date. Food and drinks came in a timely manner so service wasn’t bad. The apps were good. I had dumplings and my wife had Kani su. The rolls can be gigantic. One of mine, the spicy mango lobster roll, was almost impossible to get in one bite. All the food was good and my wife really enjoyed hers as well. Definitely will revisit.

Visit Date: October 13, 2014 I took my friend and her nephew here with me for lunch. My friend loves Sushi and when I saw this place was all you can eat Sushi I was on it so I could bring her to visit. The food was great! I had the veggie tempura, the steamed veggie dumplings and an veggie dragon roll. Everything was fresh, tasty and made with perfection. I’m not sure if this place ever gets very busy but we were a handful of people in there for lunch and they bought out everything we ordered right away. The portions were small which I appreciated because if you have room in your tummy you could try more of the food being that it’s smaller portions. The staff was okay they weren’t overly friendly but they weren’t nasty either. The restaurant has a modern décor and is very clean. Basically it’s similar to wok n roll in Oceanside but not quite the same. You are given a 2 hour time limit and you pay one price per person of $ 19.99. The food is all you can eat but is bought out to you freshly made as you order it. I definitely prefer these types of places over buffets. Unless a buffet is high end the food can be questionable, I prefer if smaller portions are bought out to me as I request them. I’m so glad this place is close to where I live I will be coming back here!

Okay so I’m kind of REALLY obsessed with this place. Tucked away in a large strip mall, this place really is a hidden gem. I’d like to thank Sarah H. for recommending this spot because she was absolutely right, it’s great. This is an all-you-can-eat spot but not just sushi, which is great if not everyone in your party is a sushi lover. There’s hibachi, Chinese, Thai, and other Japanese favorites. The menu is very expensive. Monday — Wednesday the price is $ 19.99 and all other days it is $ 21.99. The first time I came here I was interested, but this last visit has me hooked! We arrived around 4 pm on a Friday afternoon. The sign outside had a nice additional special, all-you-can-drink sapporo for $ 11.99. A great deal since the beers are almost $ 5 each. So we sit down and order quickly. I ordered the sushi pizza, sushi sandwich, spicy shrimp and Kani roll, and an order of gyoza. This Is the kind of place where you get plates to yourself. You don’t have to eat what everyone else wants. I really like that. And it shows In the quality. Everything was made to order, came out efficiently, and tasted great. The sushi pizza is my favorite thing ever. It’s a scallion pancake topped with spicy tuna, avocado, mango, strawberry sauce, tobiko, and tempura flakes. So insanely delicious. The gyoza I ordered were crisp and perfectly fried; not greasy at all. The sushi sandwich was huge. I took it apart and ate it with my hands(I have no shame.) And the spicy shrimp and Kani roll was stuffed so much I could barely eat it in one bite. The waitstaff here are incredible. They’re very accomodating. They made sure our glasses of water, tea, and especially the beer, was never empty. When you’re limited to 2 hours it’s nice that they keep on top of things. For 6 people to have all-you-can-eat, 2 people having all-you-can-drink, and one person who ordered 2 appetizers ala carte, the bill came to $ 215 with an 18% tip included. For sushi? And good sushi no less? You can’t beat that.
