Strive Athletic Club

Nice, clean, and plenty of machines. That is the perfect formula for a great gym and strive has it down. Love this place.

I always support small business over corporate business but in this case i find that i have to make an exception. I wish the owner would grow up and actually run his business. If you’re going to hire your mommy to work the front counter you should make sure she’s actually friendly. In fact all of your staff should be friendly and make the potential new clients feel as welcome as the established patrons. Everyone who walks through your doors should be greeted and engaged not ignored or blown off because you’re an interruption. I’ve given this place at least three tries and they’ve failed each and every time. Yes they are popular yes they are clean yes they have newer equipment but that do not have heart or character or passion. I hate LA fitness but at least I expect corporate rudeness. I do not and will not accept poor attitudes from small business owners.

Just moved back here from Connecticut and was afraid I was going to have to join one of the big box gyms like LA Fitness. In CT I had a gym that I LOVED and was probably most sad about moving because I would have to find another gym LOL!
One of my employees found this place and told me about their 3 day free trial. My wife & I came in the next day with our 1 year old to take a tour of the gym & their child care program.
We were so impressed by the friendly staff, top of the line Equiptment, childcare, schedule of classes, café, etc. that we signed up for the Platinum family plan after the tour.
We went for a tour of LA fitness and the highs cool kid at the counter told us that the sales people didn’t work that day so we should just go walk around. He wasn’t even educated on pricing, classes, how the childcare program worked, etc.
SAC is not just a nice, clean, gym. It feels like a family owned business. I see the same people every morning. The trainers here are cool. The place is just great.
I don’t know what happened to the person who left that negative review but I’ve been coming 5 days a week for the last 3 weeks and my experience has been great.
All I can say it take advantage of the 3 day free trial and see for yourself. Hope this helps. I know how important choosing a gun is to me. Good luck.

I first came to Strive via Groupon. The facility is tucked back off of State Road 56, but doesn’t have the most well lit parking lot.
The gym itself is beautiful! There are a variety of brand new equipment stations, including boxing bags. The spin room is separate from the group fitness room and both are spacious. AstroTurf area and kettle balls also allow you to diversify your workouts. The LesMills instructors are energetic and experienced.
This is a great gym that I would compare to as «a diamond in the rough».

Great gym, great atmosphere. This is the best gym I have been a member of and I have been a member of plenty (LA fitness, Golds, etc). Good kids club.

Wow. Another update. Based upon my initial review of Strive on December 3^rd, I was kicked out of the club today and told I could never return. I was told verbally and in writing that reason for my dismissal was my «negative outlook» towards the facility. Really? My initial review was 4 stars. My 3 «need to fix» comments are honest, and I posted an update on December 28^th about one of those issues and gave the club 5 stars. 5 STARS!
I never spoke poorly about the club to anyone and I believe that my reviews reflect that overall, I did enjoy working out at Strive.
I feel that I was treated very badly based upon an honest Unilocal review.
