I am not a runner. However, I have been running at the new gym I joined and having some aches and pains. The store is equipped with a treadmill and iPads for taking video. Not only do the associates measure you show size(including width) they video the way your foot strikes the ground and where you apply the most pressure to find the best fit for your feet and running issue(s). Today I found out my shoes were not only improperly suited for the way I run, but ½ size too small and the incorrect width. I can’t believe the difference! Apparel and socks are pricey here, but available. They have some classes & clinics on the weekends that are free — flyers at the counter. Good experience.

This store is awesome. They take their time fitting you for YOUR perfect shoe. This involves analyzing your arch, the weight distribution of your feet and video taping you jogging on a treadmill to review your gate — this is done in a very non awkward or embarrassing way… everyon here is a pro and knows anatomy/physiology. The prices are the same as you find online and you get all the service you could ask for. I have purchased three pairs of shoes from them and will return. I also purchased compression socks which developed a small hole after a month and half of use and they exchanged the socks for me with a brand new pair no questions asked. I have been to Fit2Run which is also nice, but FitNiche will be my first choice.

Great experience! Extremely patient and knowledgeable sales staff. I walked in on a quiet Thursday afternoon looking for some real running shoes. I was ready to get rid of the cruddy New Balance shoes and get something that was fitted for me, and hopefully cut down on the shin splints I experience while jogging. There were 2 girls helping, and they started by getting me some socks to wear(yeah I wasn’t planning on shoe shopping and showed up in flip flops). She then measured my feet and I was told that my left foot was slightly bigger than my right, which is common. I think stood on this pad that checks to see where you apply the most pressure in your feet. I apply most of mine in the heels, so that was good. Then, they put on neutral shoes, meaning there’s no correction, and have you jog on a treadmill while they film your feet. Then, they show you what pronating is with another video, and then you watch yours and they look for anything you do while running. I run pretty straight, with a slight outward bend in my right foot. She recommended a light to medium support shoe and brought out about 6 pairs. She put each pair on my feet and I walked around in them. They also let me try on some compression sleeves so I could see what they felt like and told me how they work to relieve shin cramps while running. Those were $ 40 so I decided to see how the shoes help before making that purchase. I did end up with some sweet Brooks and a new pair of socks, and I’m excited to break them in. Their return policy is that you can bring them back in 15 days and exchange if they aren’t for you. This is comforting! The whole experience was rather quick, so I’m hoping I have the right shoes for me! They also do free yoga classes for runners, as well as running form classes. On Thursday nights they do a run through the mall, which ends at Brass Tap where everyone mixes and mingles. I did notice on facebook that they were giving away freebies for buying Brooks shoes, but I wasn’t offered that. Not sure if that was for the night crowd or what. I’ll definitely come back for my running needs. :)

I started training and seriously running last year(2012), I heard of this store and their excellent service I decided to give it a try. Brian and the entire staff are great. They are helpful and very knowledgeable. As I have increased my miles, I also started to run in their weekly Thursday evening runs. It is a great way to get to know the runners and staff and enjoy a free fun run. I totally recommend this store.

Had a terrible experience here. Non trained, pushy sales person who tried to talk to me into the most expensive shoes they had. If you want to overpay for bad service, this is your spot. Bottom line: only shop here if you hate puppies.

This is my go to store for running sneakers. The staff is AMAZING! They do not work on commision so they are never pushing shoes on you. There are sales that often take place. They have weeknight runs on Thursday and water at the 1.55(half way mark) They send email and facebook communications out. The manager knows everyone who walks in there. I never feel emarassared to ask questions and if they do nto have an item in stock, they have ordered it from another store for me and was there within two days

After reading others reviews on how Track Shack in orlando has the right shoes but tries to hurry you through the process, I read the reviews on this store. I decided since I was visiting family over the following weekend I would check it out. I took my mother as we were both looking for shoes for the gym. We had a young man assisting us and they ask why your there, what problems you are having. Very Very nice and patient. They then ask you to stand on these two shoe imprints that show where you put pressure on your feet and they advise on where you should be putting the pressure. Then they video tape you on the treadmill in slow motion so you can see which side of your feet you are harder on then the other. We ended up being in the store for almost 2 hours, with no pressure to purchase and while there we found out why the staff is so knowledgeable. We were advised that they are anatomy majors in college. All I could think was this place has there stuff together. I use my shoes for Zoomba and all I can say is these shoes did the trick!!! I no longer have sore arches when leaving Zoomba class. I bought a pair and my family member bought two pairs one for the gym and a pair for work(as she is a nurse). We have both been turned onto this place and will be back. And will be back in 6 – 8 mos for another pair when these are wore out.(as recommended by the sales personnel)

I haven’t had a shoe buying experience here yet which is why I haven’t given them the 5th star, yet. I have had some issues with plantar fasciitis and went in looking for some ideas of how to get it corrected. Do I have the wrong shoes? Do I need an insole? The girl who helped me out was very knowledgeable and friendly. Most impressive, she didn’t try to sell me extra stuff or get me to buy the most expensive thing. That is an issue I have experienced at another local running store.

I would’ve rated them five stars, but they told me I was flat footed and that one foot was bigger than the other.(Just kidding about the rating part but not about my feet! Apparently a lot of people have one«big» foot so I didn’t feel so… awkward.) For serious… this place was great. It was a whole new shoe buying experience that I LOVED! I started off by running on a treadmill while the sales rep video taped my feet. She explained what shoes would work best for me since I tend to curve my ankles in a little bit when I’m running. She let me try on about 5+ different pairs of shoes until I found the ones I was most comfortable running in. She was very patient, didn’t make fun of me or give me a dirty look when I told her I wanted a little bit of pink in my shoes, so thank you for letting me be the girly girl that I am. When I got home and started running in my new shoes, I noticed my toes were getting numb! I figured it was just because my shoes were new and I had to break in to them, but I asked a friend about it and I found out that my shoes were too small! I was sized wrong so I had to go back and exchange my shoes. I had to go back to the store and wait forever for the first available sales rep before I could exchange my shoes. While that was a bit of an inconvenience, I appreciate their awesome return/exchange policy. I would definitely come here again and strongly encourage all your runners to get fitted here! Run, Marie, Run!

Let me preface this with saying I’m not a track star. I’m a swimmer, I like hangin with the dolphins in my flippy floppys. However recently my feet have decided they wanna lay the hammer down on some earth. Originally I took the feet to a running store near my home in Orlando… I wont name names but lets just say it rhymes with Back Fat. Anyway they gave me a mediocre run down where the guy was just trying to get to the next sale and fit me for the wrong shoes. I bought what they were selling. Weekend of my first half marathon arrives — oh hooray!!! I stop in at Fit Niche to look at apparel. After having a really great lighthearted convo with the salesman there I ask to hop on the treadmill to be analyzed for funsies. Come to find out, I’m in the wrong freakin shoes(I had a feeling… oohooo…go ahead, sing Black Eyed Peas, you know you wanna). Anyway the shoes they switched me into were awesome, I ran my race beautifully and have been using them since. Great staff, great selection, will return.
