Hotshots Sports Bar & Grill

Very disappointed. I have driven past this restaurant many times, it sits right off the highway, and was excited to visit for the first time. I was there with a group of eight friends. We ordered appetizers. I ordered the variety platter for about $ 15 and expected it to be enough for 2. When it arrived it was pathetically small and looked like it was microwave quality (everyone was equally disappointed). We were prepared to eat dinner there but after apps we decided to move on to the next restaurant. Wait staff was friendly but not efficient. We were there when they were not particularly busy and she was slllllooooowwwww. Lots of waitresses but nobody in a hurry. Next time I drive past I will remember my disappointing visit and keep on driving. Never again.

The bar tenders are very disrespectful (the blonde with glasses I would fire her «Julie») no respect for the customers. They act of they were better than everyone. The managers that are right next to them should open their eyes and realize they suck!

After we got there, we wondered if part of the gimmick was to have servers be rude, because it was never going to be the taste of the food that drove people in. Yes, it’s a sports bar, but chipped glasses and mediocre appetizers aren’t worth the noise level. If you go, order a beer, but don’t expect anything over the top.

What a mistake. It was suggested to me that this might be a good place to go and watch the Steelers/​Browns game on 1÷3÷2016, so we went there on 1÷1÷2016, just to check it out.
The biggest problem I had was with our nineteen year old waitress.Paige. I don’t believe I have ever had a waitress that was as rude, inefficient and uninformed about what she was serving from the bar.
I had asked for a bottle of beer with a frosted glass and was brought out a glass from the dishwasher. When I commented that I had asked for a frosted glass, she said that ‘we didn’t open until 5pm so we don’t have any. I told her that I had asked for one and she should have said something when I had ordered… she said it wasn’t that big of a deal. The next beer she brought me still didn’t have a frosted glass and even worse the glass was chipped with a piece of glass on the table. she said she would get me a new warm glass. I said how about a new beer… she was going to pour the beer from the chipped glass into another glass. Seriously?
We would wait fifteen minutes between ordering and receiving our drinks. Not good at all.
I asked to speak to the manager, who was quite nice and agreed to buy me a drink or two. I declined them, as I wasn’t wanting anything for free… just good service and product. He agreed to put a few glasses in the freezer for me and said that the waitress should have got me one of the larger glasses that were frozen and ready. At one point she brought me a good glass, sat it down, and walked off for fifteen minutes. She returned with our drinks but, at that point the semi frosted glass was now as warm as the first. It was as though she was doing everything to delay service to our table which consisted of myself, my wife, my sister and two other family members.
Before we had left, we had spent well over $ 100.00, but we wont be spending that amount anytime soon at this bar.
The first mistake as we saw it, was Hot Shotz hiring someone as young and as inexperienced as this kid was. She thought it was more important to spend time at a table talking to young guys, than taking care of five older adults. At one point, she thought it was cute when I was complaining about the service etc., to refer to me as «princess», and to ask what I needed then.
There are far too many other places in or near this place to spend our money.
We should have known what the service was going to be when we arrived at our table and Paige said that she had «partied too hard the night before». Nineteen year olds partying and trying to be a professional server the following day, is an impossibility.
I guess the real evidence that this wasn’t an establishment to go and get a meal and drinks with any indication of professionalism, was the fact that there was a bouncer at the door. Don’t see bouncers at Chili’s, or Hooters… only at this juvenile establishment.
Needless to say, I wont be watching any football games at the ‘sports bar’ anytime soon, as the food lacked as much as the service.

If you are going for the experience of getting a few beers with friends then you will have a great time. The atmosphere and service is on point, however at any point during the afternoon/​evening you would like to consume any food, not only will you be completely wasting your money you will be absolutely loathing your existence for the next twenty-​four hours as this poor substitute for sustenance processes through your body. The food is horrendous. Not only is it the cheap frozen brand food bought at your local grocery store, it is not thoroughly cooked through. For example, I purchased their «appetizer sampler» and it included jalapeño poppers. I received four poppers despite the menu stating that I would receive two popper; not a single pooper contained a jalapeño (It was simply fried cheese, which was not an alternative option. This was not a mix up or mistake.) And the «Hotshotz tacos» are a poor replica of Jack N’ The Box tacos which believe it or not taste worse.
Though at the end of my experience, I found my waitress always in the area ready to assist me, the food regretfully made me fear shitting in my own toilet.

It was almost a year to the day since we were in so we decided to meet up with a few friends and watch the game even though this year it wasn’t our cardinals we were watching
I had to lower my review. for several reasons.
1. There is absolutely nothing on the menu of nutrional value. Almost everything is fried. They obviously have a grill for burgers but choose to offer nothing of any nutrional value.
2. Their wine selection is laughable at best. I get it, it’s a sports bar but we’re not all beer drinkers.
3. The servers! Those poor girls always look cold. The girl we had Friday night gave new meaning to the phrase camel toe. Good lord no one wants to see that! Laugh at it maybe?
There should be rules when it comes to leaving nothing to the imagination. Especially with meaty thighs.
Minors are allowed in until 8pm. There’s pool tables and video games. Younger patrons do visit. Cover those parts up at least until 8pm then just have the girls serve naked if needed. The uniforms are completely ridiculous and border on demeaning.
4. Prices. Hot shots has out priced themselves. Again, I get it. Sports bar, but $ 14.50 for a drink is over the top.
They have great TVs. I’ll give them that but unless your going to watch a game (or giggle at the server as she chaffes while working) I don’t recommend Hot Shots.
There’s plenty of other sports bars in the area that clothe their servers and offer better food options.

Its a good place for drinks and maybe some pool and darts. I love that they let the kids in until 8. The food is nothing to really rave about. Their pizza and wings are pretty good.

Great Sports Bar in Wentzville that is non-​smoking. Wentzville is the last city in St Charles County that still allows smoking in bars and restaurants. Great wings and overall great bar food. Always hot and fresh for fried yummy goodness. Good cold beer… stick to the basic drinks if you are going to get mixed cocktails. Good service… sometimes the waitress are a little slow to get to you at first.
This is one of their newer locations in STL I believe… very clean, lots of large TVs all around. Great place to watch the game and meet up with friends.
P. S. — They don’t have any dessert btw — shots anyone?

Great place for a quick lunch and a cold beer! The place is very clean, non smoking which is a plus. The bartender Jenna was very nice and seemed to be having a good time unlike other bars workers you usually get during the day time.
We moved to the patio to have some more drinks and Julie waited on us for our last few drinks. She was great at service just like the bartender.

Very nice place! Food very good for sports bar food. Restrooms well above average. Beer selection is only reason I did not give it 5 stars, lacks any craft brews. The bar staff and servers are awesome and easy on the eyes as well.

4 starts for just being non smoking in Wentzville. We’ve never eating at this location so I can’t rate the food. It is a title nasty the bartenders shove their bottle openers up and down their shorts… Maybe I should of went with 3 stars.

We went here for lunch and we’re really impressed with the cleanliness, the number of televisions and the quality of them, and is also non-​smoking which was a big bonus!
I ordered the Royale Burger and my wife ordered the Patty Melt. When they arrived, my wife asked our server if the cook had anger issues because the patties were really flattened out! The server laughed and said that was the way they were always done, similar to Steak & Shake.
The food was very good and so was the service. Great place for lunch or to grab a beer or cocktail and watch the game, shoot some pool, throw some darts, etc. I wish all of their locations were like this one!

Bar /​Restaurant venue much improved over old O’Fallon location, but food quality is MUCH worse. Everything either over or under cooked, depending on how busy the kitchen is… seems to be no quality control.

I’m not a fan of the atmosphere but it’s not horrible. The new HotShots is clean and nice. I have only had boneless wings and garlic fries and they are amazing. They have an incredible Kentucky Glaze that I love. In fact, I recently got the recipe and now I can make it at home.
If you want the recipe ask. I’ll share.
I’d not take younger kids there, some do but I won’t Some take their kids to hooters and I would not suggest that at all, it’s up to you.
ENJOY the sports events as well there are TV’s and Screen EVERYWHERE, not a bad seat in the house!

Hot Shots deserves 4 stars. Not because the food is epic for «food sake», but because your overall experience is unparalleled in wentzville. Hell, this is a sports bar, not Ruth’s Chris.
I love stopping in for a lunch burger, normally one of the specialty burgers. Haven’t had a bad one yet! May have suffered a minor heart attack as a result, but like I said, it’s a sports bar and the food tasted good.
As for the atmosphere, it’s amazing. For the guys, the waitresses are AMAZING eye candy. They are extremely nice and very attentive, even during the rush of the «bar scene» at night.

Food is okay, reasonably priced, cheesy atmosphere trying to be like Hooters and not so good.

First time to visit tonight. Was impressed with our service and speed at which our food came. Ordered two specialty burgers and they came out in about 10 minutes. Food was excellent. Server was attentive, came by frequently and was friendly. Even at shift change, the second server stopped by as often as we needed. Great TV’S to watch the World Cup. I will go back next time in the area.

This is one of our favorite spots in town for a quick meal and cold beers. Smoke free! Huge reason we go here!
My husband and I are usually there earlier in the evening so we haven’t had any issues with service. I don’t mind the scantily clad girls. They have all been nice and our orders have mostly been correct. We’ve had a few snafus but nothing big. Easily fixed.
We have also been during big games and still had good service.
Prices are good. Love the build your own burger or chicken sandwiches. Pretzel buns are always soft and delicious.

I have been here a few times and the service is terrible!!! Foods not bad drinks are ok priced but we sat at a table right by the bar and waited 15 – 20 minutes for our server to come back. She had no idea about the menu everything she asked she would have to go find out and we wouldn’t see her for another 10 – 15 minutes. If they could get some decent service in this place it might not be so bad. As it stands right now your only busy because your new, once the newness goes away so will hot shots. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I have always enjoyed Hot Shots. This will be our new place to go in Wentzville because they made the decision to be NON Smoking which is HUGE! Hot Shots is always a fun place, they have lots of games, good food, good drinks and Keno… although this one doesn’t have keno yet as they are still in the process of opening.
