Soooo… Just had breakfast this morning. I had one of the saddest omelettes I have ever seen! I asked for a ham and cheese with light green peppers. What I received was all that MINUS the ham!!! AND it was at best 5″ long and 3″ wide, possibly ½ inch thick. I have had better omelettes made by my kids with the same ingredients! As if there was not thought to add milk and whip the eggs at all. Luckily the very small serving of hashbrowns were tasty, as was the english muffin I had. Not sure it was toasted, I think it was grilled on the flat top instead. My wife had eggs benedict, cooked correctly as she ordered the eggs poached med-hard. However the Carl Buddig single slices of ham that was on the muffins was terrible. She also has a waffle, it was delicious and was the only saving grace to her meal. Our table mate has corned beef and hash, and she said it was pretty good, but didn’t have any onions additional flavors. We chose to go her as we had always in the past had great food… but next time we will choose differently… Wild Huckleberry will is a better choice, I suggest going there instead.

Really tasty breakfast, lots to choose from. Excellent friendly attentive servers. Food was hot and really good. Not too crowded even on Sunday morning. Down home atmosphere, somewhat run down inside but warm, comfortable, just what one hopes for in a small simple local diner.

Best white gravy ever on my chicken fried steak! The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Cozy little diner tucked away in the corner of the block. Great breakfast find! Next time we are in town we will definitely be back!

Ridiculously yummy! Okay so it’s not on par with Debevic’s in Chicago, but for a small town like Wenatchee it rocks. Homemade generous portions, eggs cooked just right, served hot off the grill. Definitely will be making this my go to place for breakfast.

To start off, this is a great location and it looks like a cool, old-timey diner. Don’t be fooled –the food is awful. Hopefully the amateur cook was having a bad day and the eggs slopped together on my plate(egg shells and all) was out of the norm. Regardless, stay home and make your own food… well, just go somewhere(anywhere) else. To add insult to injury, the food is WAY over-priced. I ordered a build-your-own omelette and after $ 1.75 for each topping(cheese and two veggies) my bill was $ 18 with coffee. Now, I am not someone who complains about price, and am happy to pay $$$ for good food, but this was ridiculous. I do not intend to write a bad review to hurt Sassy’s business. Management, please hire a real cook and improve your menu!

I think this place is great. The prices are slowly rising(2 of us ate breakfast for nearly $ 30!!) But its a great little corner diner. I have only had breakfast there, so I cannot speak about the other food, but all I know is that it reminds me SOMUCH of the Englanders Diner back home in Oakland, MD it’s amazing. I couldnt afford to eat breakfast there every day, but I will be going back for sure. Last time I went, I had the 2 eggs, corned beef hash, and shredded hash browns. Loved it.

Sassy’s was recommended for breakfast while I was in town. It’s a small diner, counter seating(my favorite) and where you’re greeted and asked for coffee as you walk in(another favorite). I ordered the Eggs Benedict but forgot to mention I like my eggs medium poached. They came out medium poached anyway which made my meal even better. The hash browns were so so but that’s besides the point. Great food, good prices, amazing service and pots of coffee ready.

Very friendly service that kept our coffee cups hot and brimming but this was by far the slowest meal we experienced at any restaurant in quite some time, at least this year for sure. We had a late breakfast(brunch?) and despite being seated immediately and being quick to order at the top and pay at the end, we waited nearly an hour just to get our food. This was with only 3 other tables that had ordered before us in line. Needless to say the kitchen moves at a snails pace. Corned beef hash was a small portion, mushy and obviously straight out of a 99cent can. Chicken fried steak was both tough and chewy, almost inedible. The biscuits/gravy were decent. Again everyone in the front of the house was great, they just really need to hire an extra cook or at the least get the current one up to speed(any speed at all really), not to mention make a couple improvements to the food itself and just as importantly clean up the really dirty bathrooms that we doubt would pass health inspections.

Cute little diner… friendly wait staff. Husband loved the chicken fried steak. son didn’t. Eggs and hahbrowns cooked perfectly. Husband said his world famous banana could have used some fresh banana.(Note to owner 10 cents worth of fresh banana would have MADE that shake). Decent place for breakfast!

If you’re looking for a casual spot to grab a quick bite, Sassy’s is just the spot. Our server was friendly and I even saw her pull out some magic tricks for the kids who were at the counter. They thought it was super cool! I ordered a cheese burger with fries. My friend asked how my burger was I told her it was good. It was nothing special but totally A-OK. The fixings all come on the side so you can add whatever you want to it. This is a cute little spot to grab breakfast or lunch with a friend.

The three of us ate here Wednesday for a quick light lunch. The burgers were perfectly grilled and seasoned, the coleslaw, macaroni salad, and potato salad were all delicious. Its so nice to have those made from scratch offerings other than just french fries. This is a nostalgic diner and when you look for the women’s restroom and you have to duck and step down into a box with Betty Boop posters, you’re reminded that you’re in a historic old building. If you’re coming from Downtown Wenatchee its on the right hand side of the street on the corner about a block or so down from Owl Soda fountain in the old town area of southwestern Wenatchee. Nice, friendly staff, quick service.

diners are normally not the cleanest I guess but if that doesn’t bother you then Sassy’s is great! The menu has a wide sprawl of selections and there are so many breakfast foods to choose from. The staff is friendly and its a vintage style 50’s place that is pretty cute on the inside.

Yuck. We went here for breakfast and the food was actually inedible. I haven’t tried it for any other meal but the food was both cold and bad. Which is really saying something because we were the only people in the place.

THELITTLEDINERTHATCOULD Glug, glug, glug. Sniff, sniff, sniff. Do-wop, Do-wop. The little diner hustled over the rush. She was a happy little diner for she had such a jolly customer to satisfy. Her menus were filled full of good things for boys and girls. There were nay horse-drawn wagons with long waits, over obese with almost no necks at all, and even finger food baby! Then there were burgers-burgers with blue cheese and yellow fries, burgers with brown y’know guys and brown ’nuff said, and the gayest little review writer you ever saw. And there were cups full of coffee, chow– mein(kidding), tots, flapjacks, picher guzzles, cooks, and every kind of thing boys or girls could want. But that was not all… She tugged and pulled and pulled and tugged and slowly, slowly, slowly she started off… «I think I can-I think I can-I think I can.» …Up, up, up. Faster and faster and faster and faster the little diner climaxed until at last she reached the«Best of Unilocal». «Hurrah, hurrah,» cried the gay little review writer and all the fans and(correction) only fan.“The good little boys and girls in the city will be happy because I helped you, kind, little potential diner.” At least… «I thought I could, I thought I could.» THEEND

It’s an old school diner which has the typical All American Breakfast food: Pancakes, waffles, eggs, toast, and more. While my friend and I waited for our breakfast we opened up a manila folder which contained miscellaneous reading material. One of the excerpts from one of the documents(page 3 of 4) was this: #17. I wish Google Maps had an «Avoid Ghetto» routing option. Hilarious! They’ll nickel and dime you if you want a custom omelet so if you want to save some dough just get the standard breakfast items.

I have frequented Sassy’s since it was the original Blondie’s. My bff and I used to belly up to the Formica counter and drink coffee and smoke elicit, forbidden cigarettes instead of attending class.(Yes, kids, there was a time that people could smoke in public places… and cigarettes were under 3 dollars a pack!) Because of it’s history and location I have countless memories associated with Sassy’s. Best biscuits and gravy in town!!! My mother swears by the Bacon Cheeseburger as the perfect day-after drinking food. It’s a piece of Wenatchee History and tries very hard to live up to it’s 50’s reputation in décor and atmosphere. But not hard enough. Hanging a Betty Boop clock and pasting some 35’s on the poorly painted black and white checked wall does not evoke the classic diner experience they are hoping for. Call me persnickety but painter’s tape is REALLY easy to use and cheap, the blurred smudged lines distract me from enjoying my meal. You may be wondering«Hey, Milee. Why 4 stars if you can dog so much?» I was prepared to give it three and then I remembered the service. Oh, the blissful, non-saccharine, real wait-staff! I blame places like Olive Garden; waiters and waitresses that are polite robots with plastered plastic smiles really chap my hide. Yes, I want good service. Yes, I want my dining experience to be polite and efficient. However, I have no desire to have my meal ruined by a phony autotron with zero personality. Sassy’s staff lives up to their business name, fo sho. PS: unless you’re a contortionist with very low standards of aesthetics, avoid the bathroom.

I really liked this Diner. I often ate here alone at lunch or breakfast, sometimes I ate at the counter, sometimes a table depending on how busy it was. The service was decent, sometimes you feel as though you are overlooked for the obvious locals. The specials are always a great deal. They have a mean tuna-melt and great ice tea.

I eat breakfast or lunch here twice a week. Clean tables, cute décor, and very friendly waitresses. We get served quickly and have prompt refills on our beverages. The food is very inexpensive, and tastes great. The French Toast is my favorite, but I also order omelettes often. For lunch, I love that their egg salad doesn’t have a ton of onions in it, and their french fries are very yummy. I like that this place is consistent. I know what to expect, I can count on them when I am about to die of starvation, and I can either linger if we have time, or get in and out quickly, and it’s ok by them either way.

When you walk into sassy’s it is a bit like stepping back in time. It has one table up front and the rest of the small diner like restaurant is a long counter and very small booths with hardwood benches. The service really tends to depend on who you get for your waitress and it will range from excellent to just kind of OK. With saying all of the above the food is what keeps me coming back. I am a huge fan of Chicken Fried Steak and this place has my among the best I have had. It does not come from a box and is not just dropped into a deep fryer. It’s hand breaded and it’s cube steak pounded thin. The gravy is good but really could have a bit more pep to it. The hash browns are cooked the way I like them crisp but not greasy. They also do there english muffin a bit different. Rather then toasting it they grill it so it’s very crispy on one side warm on the other. Now I will say that the other day I was craving a waffle and opted to go for that rather than my beloved CFS and this was a mistake. It tasted like it was made with pancake batter and was limp and tough. Not crispy and airy like you would expect it to be.
