We were visiting from Seattle, craving Mexican food, and found a gem in Wenatchee. The dinner was fantastic but what prompted me to write this review was the outstanding staff and service. The entire staff was fast, friendly, and enthusiastic to be there, working as a team. 2 thumbs up!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Wenatchee and maybe in Washington. Great service. Cabbage pico de gallo and salsa were homemade and very good. I had the chicken fajita burrito. It came with stir fried green onions and green peppers cooked to perfection. The chicken strips in the burrito were tender and abundant. The beans in the burrito were pinto and not refried plus it wasn’t smothered in cheese. So much food I got two meals out of it. My only complaint was there were a lot of kids in the place so it was quite noisy but that’s not the restaurants fault. It’s obviously been discovered. Highly recommended and I’ll be back! A+++

Love love love this restaurant. Best Mexican food I’ve had in years. The rice and beans are excellent, and so you can imagine if they’ve got the basics down you’re in good hands. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. The burritos are great, as well as the chalupas and enchiladas. Excited to go back and try their tamales. I will be back very soon!

Food was delicious! We’re from San Antonio TX and the food here is just as good or better. Plates are huge! The Cabbage salsa was tasty but save your appetite for the big portions. Cheese enchilada has white cheese on inside and yellow on top. The chalupa was a home made flour tostada, really big. I had to eat it with a fork. The prices are reasonable, the staff friendly, open till 10:30 tonight.

So good! Don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior; the food is excellent! Great staff as well! I had the enchiladas and the chicken was so good. Seriously, you have to eat here! Great value and quality!

We moved here from another State and were busy all day in Wenatchee and hungry. It was about 4 pm when we saw the place and decided to go in. You never know what you’re going to get on a first time so we were very pleasantly surprised when the food came out. This has to be the very best Mexican food ever. Everything had extraordinary flavor. When the plates came out I was shocked at the huge plate of food they serve. I especially liked the warm extra thin and crispy chips and salsa. The salsa is not your typical Gringo stuff either, it was great. The cabbage slaw is not something i normally would ever like but that stuff is made in heaven. Couldn’t get enough of it. Asked for the recipe and they said it was proprietary. Oh well you can’t blame me for trying. We will always eat at this place for Mexican food.

Our visit started with warm chips, zippy salsa, yummy slaw and ended with delicious shredded beef tacos and shredded chicken enchiladas. The meat was tender and flavorful, the portions large, even the rice and beans were great. Service was quick with a smile and the prices are reasonable. We will be back!

My husband and I arrived around 11am today, Sunday and were the only ones there. We got seated and ordered right away. It still took a very long time before our food arrived and it was cold, as if it sat in the window for a while. Hubby ordered Carne Asada and I got soup. His meal came out with one tiny slice of steak and nearly burnt tortillas. It was the lunch size that normally runs $ 7 and change, yet, they charged us the dinner price of nearly $ 15(entire bill for soup, Carne Asada and two sodas $ 30) We’ve spoken to the owners before on this issue when a single piece of chicken came out with the fajitas or the steak was missing from a dish. To no avail. My credit card was still charged even after a note I left for the owner. I don’t think that I will go back. Buyer beware when ordering at this place, you may not get all you’ve ordered.

Traveling the beautiful PNW and was in the mood for Mexican food. Read what other Unilocalers said and went here. 830 at night and the place was ½ full, a real good sign. Ordered the most expensive thing in the menu and this is what it looked like. Two pieces of carne asada, four pretty good size shrimp in mushroom caps, the rice and beans, guacamole, and all the other stuff you see. Could have fed two of me. That and a beer was under 25. I will eat here every time I come to town.

Why 4 stars? Because this was a nice experience, but just not what I’m accustomed to. — — — I have probably written this sentence 50 times in Unilocal reviews, but here goes #51: Growing up in Houston, I’ve been spoiled with Mexican food. My fajitas were great, but I’ve just had better far too many times. I think it was a combination of the type of meat and the seasoning used. It tasted like they used more of an all-purpose type seasoning, rather than steak. But I’m no culinary expert and couldn’t say for sure. What I did really love was the cabbage salsa. I have never seen anything like that before, and I was in love. We went through two bowls of it. Our server was also a total sweetheart, and who doesn’t love a nice Wenatchean?

Very tasty! We will be back! Great service, great chips, salsa, cabbage pico, big portions, and ready quickly. Tacos al carbon and spinach enchiladas were very good. We also enjoyed the little free dessert.

Absolutely love the food … Big portion size too and great service. Got their inhouse sangria and it was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness. The veggi fajita was amazing too. Would definitely visit again.

Service was super fast. My kids were fighting over the cabbage salsa. I can’t really complain here, except that my enchilada was filled with white cheese instead of cheddar. I’ve never seen that before and I couldn’t eat it that way. Now I know for next time. My son says this place had the best burrito of his life.

Around 12pm on a Tuesday my dad and I decided to try La Fuente. It was highly recommended to me by a friend as «the best Mexican food in Wenatchee» so I was eager to see for myself. Upon arrival we were promptly seated and given chips with two kinds of salsas. Both very delicious. I liked the extra cumin in the red salsa. The menu was quite extensive but the back page covered lunch(11−3pm). There were combo plates and regular Mexican specialties, all reasonably priced. I chose the Chicken en Mole with beans and rice and my dad chose Carnitas also with beans and rice. My mole was sweeter than I’m normally used to but still quite good! I ate every last bit of it. Dad said he liked his carnitas. The steak and veggies did look great! Lunch portion was just right. Overall my experience was wonderful. The staff was kind and attentive. Our water never reached halfway. The food was deliciously authentic. Prices for lunch were just right($ 19 for two entrée lunches). The dinner menu was a bit more expensive. I can’t wait to go back and try more off the menu! Quick tip: Small eating area. It does get quite busy here during peak hours so either be prepared to wait or go at an «awkward» time.

Don’t get Fish Tacos. Came in for lunch craving fish tacos. No fish tacos on lunch menu but you can order from dinner menu 3 fish tacos for $ 15.95. Asked waitress if I could get just 2 fish tacos; «NO, Must get all three». OK, I wanted the fish tacos. I am used to fish tacos with fish being either fried or grilled; these were poached! No white sauce! Plain shredded cabbage — NOTHINGHADANYTASTE! Ate one taco and brought other two back to the hotel and added mayonnaise to give them some flavor. Don’t order the fish tacos. Only reason they get two stars is that the cabbage salad is very good. They should put that on the fish tacos. Please fry or grill the fish and add the white sauce. Was $ 20.00 lunch with tax and tip for tasteless poached fish.
