International Polo Club of Palm Beach

A really nice, classy and upscale atmosphere. People are very friendly and it’s always an enjoyable experience. Polo is definitely fun to watch and there is just so much to do here. It’s a beautiful atmosphere and they always have lots of different events going on that I highly recommend checking out. I definitely want to come here for brunch sometimes — I heard that it’s amazing!

Super fun place with fantastic food and drinks! They have great parties after polo too and it’s a beautiful venue!

The polo club for Sunday brunch is definitely an experience that you should have once but any more than tat would be hard to take. First the staff at this place with the exception of the wait staff are horrendous. Start with the parking, no direction, people standing around in a field doing nothing, pointing the wrong way, etc. The staff inside the pavilion are worse, they are either very incompetent or don’t care about anything. Completely disorganized, no personalities at all and no one seemed to have any sense for what they were doing. For the brunch itself the food is outstanding and there is a ton of it. The wait staff is excellent and attentive. Then there is the people watching. The level of douchebaggery is unprecedented. It’s sad and hilarious at the same time. Worth going.

I attended the International Polo Club of Palm Beach for an event with the American Cancer Society and had a great time. It was a set buffet menu and it was great. I had the Salmon with roasted vegetables and a vegetable Tamale. They had my favorite Beer from Islamorada Beer Company, Sandbar Sunday in a bottle, so I stuck to that! The venue was very clean. Parking was great as well. It’s a little hard to find, so don’t trust your GPS, it takes you the back way. I would do research first before plugging it into your phone. If brunch is half as good at a catered buffet dinner, I will definitely be back!

Best day ever! Lavish Sunday Champagne Brunch & Polo is a fantastic way to spend a Sunday in Palm Beach. Couture fashion, Jetsetters, hot polo players and the club is first class all the way. Winter polo season is from January through April. A not to be missed experience at one of the premier polo clubs in the world.

The grounds here are breathtaking. The grass is so green and it goes on and on forever. I came for a wedding and we had a beautiful cocktail hour by the pool. The servers and bartenders were all very nice and helpful. The food during cocktail hour was good.
The food that was served during the reception was also yummy and everything was in miniature! The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The valet guys were also very nice.

We always have a great family day including the dogs. Very nice group of people. Social scene is extremely entertaining. Very diverse crowd. The Millonares, the gold diggers looking for a sugar daddy. The old guy looking for a date. Cougars, beautiful families with cute kids dressed in their Sundays best. Horse lovers.
Brunch is expensive but totally worth it. The food is never ending, service is attentive with the exception of this woman named «Barbie «nothing to do with the doll. If i where Mattel I would sue her. Not gracious on the contrary as unpleasant as she could be. Pit bull would better suit her.
The polo players are very talented and good looking. Approachable at the end of the tournament if you want to take a picture with them. Free champagne and ice cream at half time.

the brunch buffet left a lot to be desired, was not impressed with the salad bar or variety and choices.
the service was great from polite waiters and the bottle of veuve and 3 extra drink tokens were a bubbly treat.
divet stomp half time was fun with ice cream and more champagne. all included in the price.
got a good deal for $ 150 for a bottle of veuve and brunch on gilt city. recommend a venture outta your comfort zone and enjoy a sunday afternoon delight with the ponies.

I’m impressed! I haven’t come across this level of generosity and kindness in a while, just respectful people, and It’s making me think polo people are just good folks. Wish my Palm Beach neighbors would learn that, as, I cannot stand PBC people’s attitudes down south on A1A… yuck.

I always enjoy the day here. I enjoy dressing up, the horses, the people watching. You should absolutely go if the opportunity presents itself.

Preppy attire? Check. Big floppy hat? Check. Pinky’s up! It’s time for polo! This is certainly one fun afternoon. Thanks Gilt City for the voucher that made it possible to do it for $ 130.00 instead of $ 260.00. Sunday brunches are one of my passions. This one will certainly be on the list of noteable ones. Not necessarily for the food, but for the ambiance. (Not that the food wasn’t good, but the venue was the main event here).
We were let in to be seated at 3:00; an hour before the match started. You are not brought to a table. Everyone gets let in at the same time, and you «jockey» (sorry, couldn’t pass up the chance for the pun) for position. We were 2, and the first to arrive at our table. We were soon joined by a group of 3, followed shortly after by 2 more. We had a good group, nice conversation, and a few laughs. Who you end up sitting with will certainly determine how much of a good time you have.
The food: Hors D’oeuvres being passed around were scarce, but oh so good. The little cuban sandwiches, grilled shrimp and Beef Wellington were all excellent. The buffet was a nicely arranged spread. Omelette station, carving station, salads, fruit, cheeses, etc. there was a station where meats were being grilled and placed on to small dishes accompanied by a nice small serving of wild rice, or risotto, veggie and the like. Items were nicely paired, the presentation was beautiful, and everything was delicious. Too many food items to really mention, but there is certainly something for everyone. I really enjoyed the seared sesame tuna, although I wish it were served colder and with a ponzu sauce. The couple of different cuts of meat that I tried were melt-​in-​your-​mouth-​tender and good. Particularly loved the Thai noodles (cold) in a peanut sauce with sesame seeds. It was a bit of a tease to see chopped egg, chopped onion, and the fixin’s for caviar, and then no caviar… kinad like someone in the kitchen was being a wise guy! Ok, maybe it was for the salmon.
To my surprise, the fruit was not all that good. Not sweet, cantalope not ripe enough. There were no pastries or desserts displayed, but those would come to the table later, served family style in a nice big platter. Assorted goodies, nicely done.
Oh! The game! Yeah, right! There’s a game. Really nice to watch the horses running up and down the field, and caught a couple of plays, but you can’t see the whole field, and as just when you are watching the action, it moves on to a part of the field which your vision is obstructed from. That’s OK, and you go back to your champagne and conversation. In the middle of the game there’s a break, where everyone comes out to the field and «stamps the divots». Again, there’s more socializing than stamping going on, guys are out there pouring champagne, throwing out souvenir balls, giving out ice cream popsicles. It’s all good, and you drink some more! I think some of us left more divots with our heels than the horses did, actually.
When you get back to your table is when you find that tray of goodies I told you about before. Sorry If I ruined the surprise. Ok, they might come around with something else too… can’t tell you everything!
Servers are very pleasant and brought us anything we asked for. Coffee was nowhere in sight, but as soon as I mentioned it, there it was. I can get used to this!

I am a man of experience, and when someone asks if I want to go to a polo club to watch a polo match, my answer will always be, «Yes. Yes, I do.»
This is a beautiful member’s only club that’s open to the public on Sunday’s during their regular polo season. You park in a giant grassy field where you buy your tickets ($ 20 per person for the bleacher seats all the way to the left. When you get in, you can spend another $ 10 per person and buy a bench in the middle of the field. Don’t try going up to the nicer area … that’s for members only.)
You walk through the club shop, selling classically white country club wear, past the croquet court (of course) and onto the giant field. And when I say giant, I mean giant. It’s the size of three Football fields. Giant.
If you’re hungry or thirsty, there’s a tent all the way to the left that’s full of little booths. When I was there, you could eat from either a Mexican stand, a candy stand or a cider and doughnuts stands or get a drink at the bar. The randomness of it all amused the heck out of me.
Then there’s the match. The players on horses run out to the field, they’re announced, national anthem is sung and the game begins.
Here’s what I didn’t know about Polo: It’s boring! Really boring! The problem is the field is so giant that you can’t really see anything happening. When the horses come right up in front of you, it’s awesome. But most of the time they are nowhere near you and it’s really not that exciting. (As you might imagine in a classy game such as there, there’s no Jumbotraun so you can see the action better. Basically, you’re just peering out into the field, hoping to catch something happening.) There’s also a ton of starting and stopping of the clock whenever anything happens. Ugh…
What is exciting though, is halfway through, yes, you’re invited onto the field to squish down divots, eat free ice cream and drink free champagne. Now that’s the kind of life I can live.
It’s a beautiful club and an experience everyone should do once in their life … I’m just not sure I ever need to do it again.

I have to confess I didn’t know very much about polo. First went for one of their season opener events, and we got really lucky with some cooler than usual (for South Florida) weather. We parked and grabbed a seat in the stands to watch one of the matches in the outer field. It was pretty easy to understand, and was something fun and different to do. Then we made our way to the main reception tent, which was filled with champagne, designer fashion (both on the women and for sale) and samples of gourmet coffee (the machines were for sale). Light appetizers were being served and made for a wonderful experience. Beneath the shade of the tent we watched the next match and found ourselves really enjoying it. During the middle of the game, everyone in the crowd was invited to head out onto the field and stomp the divots! If you’ve never been to a polo match before, this is a great place to start! Also a nice place to just hang out with friends and mingle if you’re not that interested in the sport. After the matches were done everyone was invited into the clubhouse for a post-​game party. Makes for a superb afternoon!

The Polo experience was more than I expected it to be. I heard about it, but didn’t want to judge it until I tried it out… and I’m glad I did! We arrived there right before half-​time and apparently during their half-​time, everyone in the crowd goes out on the field and helps fix any divots in the grass… in the middle of the field they have two trucks passing out little toy ponies, ice cream and CHAMPAGNE! Immediately I knew I needed to learn more about Polo and attend many more matches in my lifetime!

I love Polo! So much fun to gather around, drink champagne, and mingle. I’ve never paid attention to the game at all, but I’m sure it is interesting as well. :)
I have pictures of the last time I was there, but the weather that day was SO rare, please excuse the fact that we are all bundled up! It’s usually very nice and warm.

I came two weeks ago for a 40-​goal Charity match and aside from the chill in the air it was just as I had expected. The stands are gorgeous with ivy growing up the sides of the stands and the trolly to take you around is adorable. I highly recommend going to at least one polo match here if you are in Florida.
