The girls running this place are absolutely clueless! I called ½ hr ahead for a pickup order. When I arrived, I had to wait an additional 45 minutes. When I got upset after checking on my order 3 times, they realized my order was just sitting there the whole time… Then they tried to sell me a meal that’s been sitting out there for over an hour and no longer hot. While I was sitting around waiting, it looked like they lost 2 other customer orders. The ownership needs to get this place under control!

I placed an online order at 11:15AM and requested noon pickup. They asked to move pickup to 12:30 die to a large order. They didn’t have the food ready until 12:40. I don’t care about the quality of the food when I end up getting my lunch served at dinner.

People rave about the pizza here but I’ve had mixed experiences. The main draw for this stop is the pasta dishes called«messes.» Try one.

Descent Italian food, maybe too much prepared well in advance. Pleasant place to grab a bite!

This Comella’s in particular has amazing sauce for their pasta and chicken parms. I’ve had the chance to order the squash ravioli and chicken/eggplant parm from this location. Fantastic! The setting is small and quaint, perfect for picking up to-go orders. Pulling into a spot on Washington street is horrible… but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. My boyfriend and I have also eaten at the restaurant and it was nice. Would recommend to anyone that wants a nice, authentic Italian meal. Large portions and good deals for college students(ex: $ 5 large cheese pizza’s!)

I consider myself a pizza person, and by that I mean I could probably have pizza once a day and still want it every day, and this is partly because of how good Comellas pizza is. A large plain cheese is $ 5…there is no way to argue how much of a steal that is, AND it’s absolutely delicious pizza which makes it even more worth it. If you add toppings it becomes more expensive but it’s still a great price for pizza in the area. I am also a huge fan of their pasta, and would recommend all the«mess» dishes(they are great because they are a perfect mix of all the food items you’re craving along with yummy pasta). The staff is usually very polite highschool age kids, but the restaurant is mainly for takeout, though there is some seating inside. I have also gotten their frozen food to take home and make later(various pastas and their delicious sauce) and I’ve had great experiences with that.

Best Italian food in the area. Pick a mess, any mess and it will all be amazingly delicious. I am a big fan of chicken parm but I would gladly eat any of the messes. Also the garlic bread is to die for. I have also heard great things about their $ 5 homemade pizza. The sandwiches are also very very good. Anything that uses their homemade marinara sauce is sensational. There is some seating inside and outside but it’s a little crowded and much more intended for take out. I promise you won’t be disappointed by the quality of the food.

$ 5 for an amazing homemade pizza?! How do they possibly make money? Whenever we’re too lazy to cook, we’ll call up Comellas and grab a $ 5 pizza and a Swingin Sammy mess(chicken & meatballs) and call it a glorious dinner. The pizza is absolutely delicious and the messes are the perfect combination of pasta, sauce, meat, and whatever else goes in there. They taste great and are perfect for sharing or keeping as leftovers for lunch the next day. Very fast service and highly recommended.

Oh. my. god. If you like Italian food, Comella’s is the place to go. $ 5 Pizzas beat every pizza place in town price-wise. The«messy» meals are unbeatable. Everytime I’ve gone there, I’ve had great experiences. The food is so good. The service can be slow at times but the awesome food makes up for it. If you want good Italian, go to Comellas. It’ll be worth it.

The chicken parm was delicious. Huge sandwich, I could not finish it all. Came out piping hot. It’s a comfortable place to eat in on a hot day. The only thing I would do different next time is order it with less sauce than usual. I’m not a big fan of marinara sauce. I waited 10 – 15 minutes for it to be ready. As other reviewers have said, you can always order ahead of time. It’s worth the wait.

Delicious, homemade pizza for only $ 5? Consider me a Comella’s cult member. In all seriousness, this place is a must for cheap college students and chain-pizza-joint-weary families alike. The pasta has the taste of a bigger or fancier restaurant with a price you’d expect at this small restaurant. They even have great kids’ meals. True, the seating area is small and the wait can sometimes be long, but you can easily fix this by calling ahead. The only downside is that the delivery minimum is something like $ 50 or 100.

I have been to almost all their locations and found the food every time delicious with large portions. Very Consistent service and special nod to the ladies at the Chestnut Hill locations who always smile!

Best. Parm. Sandwiches. I don’t care if you get grilled chicken, fried chicken, veal, meatball, eggplant… seriously, I don’t. It doesn’t even matter, it’ll be fantastic no matter what. NOMATTERWHAT. The bruschetta here sucks though. Don’t bother. Stick with the sandwiches or anything that has their homemade marinara sauce and you’re golden.

Oh god, delicious. This last semester, I needed to find a break from the burritos and beverages(thank you, Qdoba) as the weather in Wellesley shifted to a colder climate. Chicken wraps and bagels at the school cafeteria weren’t cutting it. Depressed, I needed a meal that would warm my heart and my stomach. That’s when Comella’s walked through the door. In reality, my girlfriend introduced me to the place. From the moment I scanned the hundreds of menu items available to order, I knew that this tiny restaurant had filled that void for food made with TLC(tender, love, and care). To the point, Comella’s is family-style italian. Almost anything you order(and there’s a lot to order) tastes great. They go heavy on the sauce and meat which is wonderful for a carnivore like me. Also, best of all, their prices don’t substantially hurt the wallet and most menu items can definitely be divided into two meals(especially the messes). They stock ready for the road or they can prepare something fresh if you want to eat there. For college students, they now have $ 5 pies which beats any competitive offer from Domino’s or the recently-opened Papa Gino’s. Definite 5-star.

This place is mostly pick up — the sitting inside is small. The pasta is pretty good — though I wouldnt say is the best pasta I have ever had. The garlic bread wasnt all that great either. Overall, a good place to get some pasta on a lazy move night.
