If I could give them no stars, I would. Was recruited for a full-time position. I wanted to take the job, but wanted to wait a week before giving my notice. The recruiter was adamant that I tell my boss ASAP. I realize that this was so he could recognize revenue ASAP as well. Because I didn’t wait to give my notice, I would up costing myself a 10K bonus from my company. I tried to get the recruiters to postpone the start date and they told me that this was not possible. They pretty much bullied me into submission. It turns out that my new boss said that he would have waited a few days for me to be able to collect the bonus. Bowdoin also lied to my new boss, saying that I had another deal in the pipeline. At that time, I did not. Very controlling. Very clueless. Avoid at all costs.

The Bowdoin Group is a great place to work and a great company to work with as a client. You can tell they value their employees and clients and make sure the best interests of their candidates, clients, and employees are in mind. It’s unusual to find a recruiting agency that operates likes that. Usually recruiting agencies only operate on their own agendas but The Bowdoin Group knows the importance of providing quality service. I went to one of their networking events and thought it was great, they talk to everyone, see what jobs they can refer them too, nice people. Free food and drinks doesn’t hurt either.
