I really want to give this park 3 stars because the short road in is a mess. Like driving on a muddy moonscape. But what’s not to like about a 29.3 mile linear trail? According to the signage it’s open to walkers, bikers, cyclists and horseback riders(on grass on the side.) Nothing about runner but I’m pretty sure you kids are okay too! No vehicles, but luckily S.R. 50 is a few blocks away if you want to go for a drive. There are a couple large picnic tables and some signage with a frog chart. You can hear lots of cricketesque entities. Florida can be buggy believe it or not. so bug spray is essential if you’re going to stop in forested natural areas. Sunscreen might be a good idea too. :) Sign says 16 and under need helmets. Also a good idea if you ride your bike like Anna Montana drives. Enjoy the trail!!! If you’re in the area for a bit and still aren’t tired the Withlacoochee Trail isn’t far and it’s 40 something miles. And I think they are linking it to the Suncoast. Ride for days!!! Brings lots of water.
