RT did an amazing job fixing another shops hack job! Great shop! Great atmosphere and a great haircut. A little hard to find the shop but worth it!

First off the location based off the address on Unilocal was totally off! I sent an update suggestion to Unilocal about the address and received a message back but the same address is still up. 12430 Galveston not Old Galveston and it’s across from the Ellington Airport. I ended up by Whataburger and some old nightclub with the Unilocal ‘old Galveston’ address. I called the shop and they gave me the correct address which is again 12430 Galveston. Anyway, it still was kind of hard to find because it was a shop behind other shops. I had to call the shop again and tell them I was sitting out front another burger place, cigar lounge and a slots lounge where the address says I should have been. The shop ended up being behind these other businesses. You have to drive past a security gate on the right side of these other establishments and the shop will be the next block of business on the left. If my mom was not in the car with me I would have haul tailed it out of there just because the location at first seemed odd but I’m glad I stayed. We were greeted by our barber Mark –or Marc idk– who was looking out for us because he knew I was having trouble. He thanked us for coming out knowing we were having trouble finding the place. Mark was alone tonight. Walking in I felt like I was in a movie set of a old school real barber shop. Nothing fancy about the place but I loved the barber chairs they had. Looked so original. The even had a shoe shine area. I thought it was cool they had a pool table but not sure if my barber liked it much. They had two televisions. Mark cut babies hair first(16 months) with a pair of scissors which I preferred since it was his first cut and his hair is still so tender. I tried to wait until he was at least 2 years but it had gotten too long, unruly and his hair starting thinning in random areas that it had to go! It came out pretty nice. Next up was me. This was also my first barber cut. Ok super cuts does not count for me especially since my hair dresser was so confused with my type of hair. I really like my cut and my mom(yes my mom) absolutely loves it. I might have to come back with my mom again(yes…my mom) until I am used to the location. the thought of going to this odd location alone freaks me out but I would definitely like to go again.

Hard to find places like these in Houston! I wasn’t impressed of the place first because of the location. But after I started coming here, I loved it! Taj, RT and Mr. P are the nicest men I’ve came across for a barber shop! Been coming here for past 3 – 4 yrs now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else or trust anyone other than these guys! PS: they have a pool table and don’t let Mr. P beat you!

Great place to get a cut. Very fond of the military, especially the Marines. This will become my sole place to get a trim when I’m in the area.

I’ve now been coming here for a year, and the place still rocks. Travis is still the man, and they’re still the best haircuts you can get. Considering that other places charge upwards of $ 15 for a cut, and usually with an inferior cut, this place is very well worth it. Not sure about rating it as a one star because of getting lost. Although the address is a bit wonky. But, then there are gps, smart phones, etc with maps and guides built in.
