The best french fries in town. The rest of the hood is just OK They accept only cash. Prices are reasonable.

Nice place. This is an after-fishing spot for me. By the time we get in, their outside grill is closed, so we have to settle for indoor grill and fryer. The wait staff is friendly and the crowd is nice. Bay-burger is a handful with two beef paddies. If you’re hungry, this is the ticket. I’ve had the wings there as well. Warning, even the mild wings are super-sonic hot. I was with a group of five and all had the same comment. The bartender said it all depends on who is cooking for the night, so your mild may be, well, mild. They have indoor seating and a bar area. If you want white linen and silver table-wear, this place is not for you. There is also outdoor seating and boat slips along the north end of Irondequoit bay. During the summer, it’s only accessible from the east if you’re driving — the bridge from west is seasonal and they remove it in the summer.

Good service and great ribs! I also enjoyed the grilled chicken. A fun night at a reasonable price at a great location. Don’t wear a tie or sports coat… I will definitely go back.

Bay Side is all about eating outside on the bay. The food is decent, nothing great, nothing bad. We got here early on a beautiful Friday evening and«only» had a 40 minute wait(by 7pm they were quoting 1.5 hour waits!). The views of the bay are very nice and when you are waiting their expansive lawn area makes for a great waiting area. We got the beer battered fish fry and it was very good and a good deal at $ 11. The fries were also pretty good. Our friends got burgers and ribs and those were less successful. The burger was dry and the ribs were buried in sauce. The servers(actually multiple servers and food runners — we lost track there were so many) were all very friendly though given the waits they were pushing us from lingering after our meal. Bottom line is that you are coming here for the location not the food(and come real early on beautiful summer weekend nights).

So after a ton of shenanigans at Castaways, my friend says, «Let’s stop in there. It seems fun.» And… it was! First off, we walk up and you smell amazing BBQ cooking outside. Second, the host tells us how the seating is broken up as there is one section for food service and another to sit and listen to the live music. If we wanted to start out at the music side, grab drinks and relax, but if we changed our minds to let him know and he would be happy to get us a table. He was super friendly and helpful! We go into the bar to grab drinks. The place was slammed as people were docking their boats on the bay and coming in, so it took a little while to get drinks, but a sweet customer sitting at the bar stood up so I could get in to get us drinks. We found a spot to sit and listen to the live music. I am sad that I cannot remember the bands name because they were fantastic! A very eclectic mix of music from Johnny Cash to Beach Boys, a little«Proud Mary» thrown in for fun. Even the band members themselves were eclectic– lead guitarist was probably early 20’s, lead vocals mid-to late 20’s, bass guitarist in his 30’s and their drummer 50’s-60’s! They certainly knew how to put on a show and really had people into it. We did not order food here but I kind of wish we had. It smelled great and looked like huge amounts as most people had to go containers with them. I was impressed that they had one of my favorite summer beers on tap, Summer Shandy. The bartender had a great idea when we got a pitcher and she had us put a cup of ice in our pitcher. It floated and kept the beer cold while we were drinking it! Overall, great time had– amazing boats to look at, great houses on the cliff, the white swan that lives in the area, friendly ducks and a great atmosphere!!!

The Bay Side Pub is a restaurant and pub located on Irondequoit Bay in Webster. It is a popular summer attraction and offers outside dining on picnic tables and water access with docking for those who arrive via boat from the bay or Lake Ontario. The outdoor seating on the water is the main attraction, as the food is decent at best and is really just basic fried pub food with a few grilled options. Their nightly specials, such as Monday Steak Night and Friday Fish Fry are popular, as are their live music events, but their prices have been increasing recently. Their drink selections are limited, and their wine is served in small, plastic cups. The indoors restaurant is tired, dated and looks dirty. The staff is generally friendly, but are a bit overly aggressive in attempting to upsell and turn over tables. A fun summer spot for those in the suburbs, I would avoid The Bay Side Pub in the off-season. Be sure to bring cash or your debit card for the ATM, because they do not accept credit cards.

Good food ams affordable pricing. The place if right on the bay so location looks great. When you first arrive it may look like a rundown shack, but stay and you will be surprised with great food. I recommend the bay burger. No matter what anyone says the ribs are not as special as they sound. If you want ribs try a BBQ place.

A very small place, but the food rocks hard… Great views of the Irondequoit bay as you dine and in the summer you can eat outdoors and enjoy the fresh air… This place is always packed with regulars, but they treat everyone like family… They’re also known for their chili, which is award winning by the way… The burgers are also very tasty and huge… A very nice spot for a lovely summer day… Now if they could just keep the Irondequoit inlet bridge open all year long, we would go there many more times… We live in Sea Breeze so driving all the way around the bay to Empire Blvd and down Bay Rd sucks…

We are regulars at The Bay Side Pub. Great place on Mondays and Tuesdays especially when the crowds are slim and interaction with the staff is cordial and fun. The Bay Side Pub is not just for summer. Try is year around. Enjoy!

If you like small portions and overpriced drinks, you’ll live this place. Used to be one of my favorite places to go, but the last two times I went, I left hungry

Food and prices are decent. A bit of elbow grease should shine and clean up the place… it sure does need it.

Very homey feeling, everyone seemed to have a good time with the owners walking around meeting and greeting. Its the environment and the food. That’s what they specialize in. Loved the food and the price. Nothing was super fancy food came in a basket and was full of flavor. Will come back

The Bayside! Nice views and good food. The fish sandwich is delightful and the bay burger is a great deal. Two huge 1⁄3 pounders with pieces of bacon, this burger is awesome. Curly fries were nice and crispy and their meat hot sauce is scratch made, so good! Cheap prices, lunch for two at thirty bucks after tip and everything and you can’t beat that when you’re sitting on the water!

Bayside is a Webster waterfront landmark. The restaurant itself is a 3 rd rate roadside pub, but it’s summertime waterfront outdoor dining area, grilled meats and live entertainment make it a very special warm weather destination. The casual picnic style seating, wonderful waterfront setting and frequent live music make the atmosphere festive yet relaxed. Most of the grilled dishes, which are done in the visible outdoor kitchen are good, but the strip steaks and ribs are real standouts. This is a great place to get together with fiends. They also host private parties/events under a tent. Don’t miss it when the weather is warm!

Uneven would be a good description for the Bayside. We waited a while for a table outdoors, and our server didn’t tell us about one of the specials. Our food arrived promptly, but was crowded on a plate that was too small for the steak, potato, broccoli, and half-ear of corn. And in August, when fresh corn is abundant everywhere, there’s just no excuse for corn that’s tasteless, overcooked, and likely previously frozen. You make some compromises when you choose a restaurant with more deck space than indoor seating. But Bayside feels underwhelming, from the 100% plastic seating to having to ask for bread. And they only take cash, no credit cards or checks. So, don’t expect an overwhelming experience.

It was okay here, nothing special. I had a tough time finding it because a bridge near the restaurant closes during the summer and it was not easy to go back around and find the other entrance to the street. I sat outside which was nice since I got to be by the water on a beautiful evening however, their citronella candles did little to keep the bugs at bay… we had a few floaters in our drinks. One of my friends said the bathrooms were not the best, so I opted not to go in and use them. She said the door was flimsy and there was not a very good lock. I did not really spend any time inside the bar. My friends and I ordered food. It took a really long time to come over and we did not have good service while we waited. Our waitress took forever to take our order and once she did she disappeared for almost 45 minutes while we waited for our food(It took closer to an hour for our food to actually come out). Once we finally got our food, she still didn’t pay much attention to us even though we were really the only group outside who might have needed attention. The food was okay — Nothing special. I got a chicken cesar sandwich and the cesar was really an oil not dressing and you could hardly taste it. One of my friends got a burger and loved it and another got a beef pot pie that looked amazing — he said it was. Overall, it was okay. I will go back if someone asks me to but I won’t go back on my own.

Great bar food. Best place to go by boat in Rochester for drinks and sandwiches or fried food. Live music on Friday and/or Saturday nights. Cheers!
