This place was amazing! We stayed here in November for my birthday. When we checked in, we learned that we were the only guests for the night. How awesome to have a beautifully decorated, historic home to be ours for the night. After visiting Maple One winery in Lewiston, we checked in here, and thoroughly enjoyed walking down the historic streets, visiting the locals tavern and people watching, and then the Inn gave us a great recommendation for dinner. It was all very enjoyable. Would definitely go back. We’re hoping to maybe rent the whole place and bring the family with us some time.

The Rose Room was perfect for our one night stay. As good or better than any B & B we’ve frequented in the past. Clean, well furnished and properly equipped. Hostess Madison was charming and most accommodating. Made us feel right at home. We’d happily return when next we need lodging in Weaverville.

Likely the best place to stay in Weaverville, and the innkeeper is very friendly and accommodating. The rose room was very comfortable, and well appointed. I booked a two night stay and I was unable to make the first night with short notice to the innkeeper. Instead of charging me for the whole weekend and canceling the booking(something most hotels would do) Noelle held the room for the night I was going to be there and applied a credit for the night I missed. That was just a nice touch of hospitality that is seldom seen.

The place was nice and clean. We had the house to ourselves and the operator accommodated us coming into town very late. Coffee was ready for us when we woke up in the morning. We stayed in the green room; the bed was soft, comfy by my standards but too soft for my girlfriend. The hot water seemed in short supply and there were only the two of us; it was very cold out that night, but I would have liked a hot shower. All in all, the price and experience were good. A good option if you are rolling into Weaverville and don’t want to chance one of your many motel options. I’m not a fan of Costco muffins, so the breakfast aspect of the B&B fell short for me. My guess is that in the busier season they offer a little more variety for breakfast.

My family and I have been camping at Trinity Lake for 40 years, and a friend and I decided to go up and stay in a B&B. This looked like a classy place and the few reviews here were encouraging. We never got to experience it first hand, however, as the innkeeper waffled on the price she quoted us. After several emails back and forth in an attempt to have her honor her quote, I decided the thrill was gone. Bad form! Still love Weaverville and the lake, though.

If life happens to take you to Weaverville, CA, I highly recommend booking a stay at this delightful bed and breakfast. I was greeted warmly by the Innkeeper, Noelle, and shown to my room. They have three guest rooms upstairs. I was one of the two rooms that shares a bathroom at the top of the stairs, but had the bathroom to myself since no one was staying in the other room. The room at the end of the hall, with a private bath, was occupied during my stay although I never heard the occupant nor crossed paths. For my Tuesday night stay I was given a $ 95 business rate that includes coffee and scones in the morning. I happened to have a breakfast meeting so I did not partake in their morning offerings. One of the deciding factors for booking a room here is that they have free wifi. The Inn is also conveniently located within walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, theater, etc. The room was comfy and the entire house oozes charm. Each touch seemed intentional and thoughtful. Passing traffic could be a bit of a disturbance but traffic isn’t heavy in Weaverville and they are nice enough to provide ear plugs should one need them. The bathroom has a «big enough for two» claw foot tub and the products provided included the standard shampoo and conditioner but with the nice addition of bath salts, cotton swabs and makeup remover cloths. I took advantage of the bath salts and enjoyed a relaxing bath after my long car trip. If I return to Weaverville, I plan to also return to the Whitmore Inn.

My family and I rented the whole inn over the weekend, and we were extremely pleased with our first trip to a B&B! Noelle, the owner/innkeeper, was extremely welcoming and friendly. She did everything to make us feel comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious — roomy enough for my brother’s family and mine to fit our entire family of 4 each comfortably in our respective rooms(we brought our own playpens and cots). The traffic at night might keep some up at night, but Noelle kindly provides ear plugs on the bedside table that work like magic! With all of us coming from the Bay Area, we had no idea what to expect in a town like Weaverville, a far cry from the city. But being within walking distance to the shops and restaurants, you definitely get the plesantries of a small town, with everyone being super friendly. The large backyard porch was extremely comfortable for sitting around on a lazy day, as we let the kids run around on the lawn. But don’t worry, you’re not too far from city life, as the Whitmore is equipped with free wi-fi and satellite TV(on a 13″ screen tho — oh well!). We only came to town for a wedding, but if I ever find my way to Weaverville again, I’d definitely stay here again without any hesitation!
