Recently had dinner at Applebee’s. Food was what we expected and enjoyed the new updates to the restaurant.

Food is always awesome and service always great as well. But my last experience was good until it came to check out time. Our server explained some kind of promotion they were having where we could win a gift card and if we completed the survey before we left the server got credit. And if he got enough good comments he could win also. So i went to the web site and started to register. Before i even started the survey i got pop up after pop up. Finally i said enough is enough and i never completed it. The very next day i started receiving so many spam emails. Everyday since i have been going and unsubscribing to at least 10 emails. Thats the thanks i get for trying to be a good customer? Not cool Applebee’s!!!

There’s not much variety in dining options in Waynesboro, so my wife and I eat at Applebee’s quite a bit! I love the food and service we get there! I like to try different foods, but tend to always get the same thing because I’m hooked!

The food is good, but the noise level of the annoying music is a real turn off.

Although I haven’t always had great food or experiences here, they appear to have really worked on updating their interior and service within the last year since having been here last. Our latest visit was pleasant. Staff and management were great to deal with. Hoping that our next visit continues to increase our expectations of the service at this location.

The corporate office really needs to come in and straighten this location out. I am not a big corporate restaurant person but I go to them on occasion since you know what you will get. this is one of few chains in the town beyond fast food and they are horrible. Servers have no clue about the menu, and can be rude if you ask a question they do not know the answer to. I asked what bourbons they carry and the girl told me she was only 18 so she did not know. if you work there you should know regardless of age, at least have a cheat sheet. She went to ask the Person behind the bar(refuse to call her a bartender) and she was told to tell me that Jack and Jim where the most popular. not what I asked and Jack is not bourbon. Walked to the bar to see about 6 to 8 whiskey choices but only saw Jim Beam for bourbon. ordered some Irish whiskey(Jameson I think) on the rocks and the server came back and said the person at the bar asked what I wanted mixed with it. nothing, that’s what on the rocks indicates. just decided on water since I was sure that the liquor poured would be the wrong one anyway. That was just the drink ordering. could go on but I think you get the idea

Terrible, terrible food. Greasy tortilla chips with appetizer, cold steak, and undercooked broccoli. MSG overload. For some reason this location always disappoints.

Don’t waste the time or money. There are so many other better places. The food isn’t good and the service isn’t good. Don’t settle for this place.

The creamy Parmesan chicken was quite good. It was served with white rice and spinach. Yum yum. The service is very friendly.

I have now ordered the Sizzling N’awlins Skillet on three separate occasions. The first time it was really pretty good(Plenty of chicken, shrimp and sausage sizzling to perfection). The second time it was presented in a completely different fashion(just looked like everything was thrown on the skillet and the portion was noticeably smaller) I just wrote it off as a bad night. The third time there was two shrimp, two pieces of sausage and 3 little strips of chicken and to top it off the meats which were just thrown on top almost as an after thought was cold. Three strikes and your out.

I’ve never been a fan of Applebee’s. When a new one opened in the area we decided to give it a try though. After all, it was newly decorated and should be clean and inviting. We were finally able to give it a try.(Suffice it to say there isn’t much to choose from around here and lines were long at first.) We have tried it twice now and won’t go back. As I said, Applebee’s, well, corporate in general, isn’t my idea of a good place to eat and relax… I like local flavor. This Applebee’s though, has to be at the bottom of the barrel of all Applebee’s establishments. The greeters are so unfocused on their job that you feel like you are interrupting them. Already, the«new» feels sticky and there is a mildew smell throughout. Our food, on the most recent visit was just horrible. If we were true food critics, we would have sent it back to the kitchen in disgust. I had a talaipia fillet that was to be served with steamed veggies of the day and rice pilaf. The fillet was smothered in some sort of cheese sauce(not mentioned on the menu) and topped with greasy old bread crumbs – also not mentioned. It was also very salty! Too salty for my taste. The rice pilaf was cold and dry and I doubt the veggies spent more than two seconds in the steamer. They were cold and certainly not fresh. Our sweet ice tea looked cloudy, though it was acceptable. My partner order shrimp fettucine – floating in butter and too hot to consume for at least 10 minutes. Service was better than our first visit there and I realize it’s not the server’s fault that the food is bad. Come on folks… if you expect to have customers you are going to have to do better than this.
