On two different occasions I have called upon on to help me figure out what is eating two different my garden. He has been most helpful, and, if I have to, I will call on him again! And it doesn’t hurt that there is a 10% Senior citizen discount!

Went to buy plants for roof deck. Laurie helped us. Very knowledgeable and patient. Top notch customer service. They get delivered and installed this week. Great selection and options. Nice to have wonderful service.

Mahoney’s Wayland is overwhelmingly large(I visited in Summer when a lot of the plants were outdoors), with an abundance of plants. But there was little organization, or helpful signage, and I didn’t encounter an employee till I went to pay. Many of the plants outside looked dried out and/or were toppled over, and I spent a long time trying to find succulents with little success. The airplant display was really appealing and well-laid-out. I didn’t have the energy to browse the shop full of planting materials, seeds, and garden décor, but it was inviting. The cashiers seemed to struggle a lot though, and several of the teenage ones were doing a lot of fooling around when there were several people waiting to be helped. The customer in front of me took forever to check out as employees were sent to and fro to check this and verify that, and I don’t know that the one plant I was purchasing was worth the wait. I think there’s a lot of potential for Mahoney’s in Wayland with a bit of organization and some maintenance. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely stop in and check it out.

Large selection of plants, flowers, pottery, etc. I can’t comment on the price as I don’t visit nursery’s very often. Friendly staff that helped this novice pick out some flowers for my son’s school project.

I always have success finding just what I need here. Andrew is a knowledgeable and patient guide whenever I’ve been there and needed some answers or suggestions. Mahoney’s rewards program is actually pretty useful too. The coupons that come via email are also relevant to some of the more popular items they’re selling — not simply for the random stuff they can’t sell. also, the informational magazine they mail out is also a great resource. I highly recommend a visit!

Very nice nursery with lots of selection. Looks small but packed with lots of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, tools and accessories. We were referred by a friend when we chose to tear out our yard and start from scratch. We wanted a nursery that could provide guidance, a guarantee and delivery. Mahoney’s delivered all three. We focused our purchases on larger trees, shrubs and flowering plants spending near a thousand dollars but with their rewards program we earned almost $ 20 back towards a great lilac. Overall the service was good, delivery was fast and prices seemed fair but not inexpensive. I would consider Mahoney’s again in the future for larger purchases for my garden.

I called to inquire about a Mother’s Day delivery on Saturday and the person on the phone said that they make deliveries, I said great! HOWEVER, after waiting on the phone for over 15 minutes, I get a response that they are now too busy and cannot make any Mother’s Day Weekend deliveries!

A nice little place along scenic Route 20 in Wayland, I actually like this Mahoney’s branch a little better than the big one in Winchester, probably because it feels a bit more intimate and manageable. I don’t get there all that often these days(it is easier for me to get to the one in Winchester), but when I do, I rarely leave empty-handed.

Great selection of wonderful items!!! The prices were surprisingly lower than I had expected, too! We are growing hops(my husband is a homebrewer) and we needed some trellaces, so we went there and the employees were so incredibly helpful. Soon we can use the hops to make beer… we’re growing pumpkins, too, so this fall: pumpkin ale with many homemade ingredients! We also got bamboo stakes for our tomatoes and they were only a buck a piece. The seed packages were all on sale too, so I got sunflower seeds for only 75 cents!
