I was in town for something else and decided to check out the library. There are something like 52 libraries all in the South Central Wisconsin Library System(that might not be the name, but it’s close) and with my Sun Prairie library card I can check out material from a few of them(all the Madison ones and the Waunakee one, for instance). This library is on two levels. I didn’t browse much(cranky toddler) but spent my time on the upper level, which has a ground floor entrance because the building is on a hill. The library, by the way, is right next to the high school. The Waunakee library has self checkout machines, which I love, and you can even check out up to five books at one time. Just set them on the pad, swipe your library card, and hold your breath. I enjoyed that a little too much. The library is very small and probably pretty old. I am spoiled by my home library, which is all high ceilings and big windows(clearly much newer) and felt bad for Waunakee, which is a nice place. But a little old library is better than no library at all!
