For $ 10 a month, you get great equipment, nice locker rooms, free wi-fi, wide variety of workout areas, a cardio theatre, and a sauna. You might encounter a no-fun annual equipment maintenance fee and some average customer service, but overall a great value!

Great club! The machines are new there’s always one open and the child care is great. I take the whole family! Would highly recommend it.

I’ve been a member for a few months now and I’ve enjoyed it so far. The facility is clean, the staff are nice, and those leading the classes are friendly. There is plenty of equipment and it’s all in great shape. Any out of order equipment is fixed within a day or two, so far as I’ve noticed.

If you are looking for a gym with the lowest class of clientele, personal trainers who are in worse shape than most of the people going there, loud music which makes for louder people next to you, people who sit and read books on the weight equipment and WIFI that rarely works than xperience fitness is the place for you. My husband and I joined in November and by January we had already had enough. After cancelling, they still had the nerve to charge us for the annual fee. NEVERAGAIN

I joined Xperience a couple of months ago but finally got off my butt and started using it 2wks ago. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The equipment is plentiful and now that it’s resolution week I have had no problem with getting the equipment I want. Even at peak hours. Since I am just coming back to working out after a long time I am taking it slow but I wanted to take a class. I took Aqua Zumba and it was fabulous and the perfect starter class. The facility is very clean, staff is very helpful and the amenities are outstanding for the price. I am so glad I chose xpirence.

The new facility is great! Great selection of machines. The place is clean and the locker rooms are clean and roomy. The front desk staff are nice and motivating when you check-in. Nice to see a wide range of people there. Nice selection of classes.

This is a review of the NEW Waukesha facility located in the old K Mart. OK, so I was pretty excited to see that this gym was finally opened. It’s nice looking inside and has most everything a gym rat needs as far as equipment goes. Thankfully they left the horrible off-gassing black composite flooring in the old place and didn’t add it to this place. That stuff was toxic as hell. Remember I am an author of a huge book on preventive medicine so I avoid things like that as far as I can. They also have a nice sauna(dry) which is co-ed which might be kinda nice on occasion. They also have the Cybex Arc Trainers which I think are the best pieces of cardio equipment out right now BUT they didn’t bother buying any of the arm & leg ones only the leggy version which is stupid. Now for the bad news: first off as a physician gym rat with a huge past in martial arts and ballet I find this place way too cold. Obviously the management thinks it can save a couple hundred each month by keeping it like a refrigerator car. Stupid and terribly unhealthy. I checked the thermostats and saw an unbelievable setting at 63 degrees for the cardio-theater and mid-sixties to about 68 for the rest. Hey we live on the 40th parallel in case you forgot. You need to keep things warmer! The ambient temp was actually running under these settings at around 65 degrees at its hottest spot. So it’s not even 68 degrees in there, anywhere in the building! It’s going to get a lot colder soon too and those windows in the free weights section are going to be flowing with freezing air. I wonder what it will get down to then? 60? We may have to start burning furniture to keep warm. This really pisses me off because its anathema to wellness and fitness yet most, fitness experts included, are too ignorant to understand that. They think sweating is supposed to be avoided. For those who wish to take umbrage recall that Princeton Club, where I belonged for the last two years, is nice and warm in the middle of winter. It doesn’t need ceiling fans blowing like aircraft propellers nor do they feel the need to cryogenically harm their patrons. Not once did I need to overdress in there so I could concentrate on mirrors and muscle. And not once did anyone cry about the temperature either. So the argument loses it’s momentum that it needs to be cold which it doesn’t. For those who complain that it’s too warm(in some gyms) they need to get into better shape. Anyone who actually understands human physiology knows that this is far too cold for most people. And anyone who is a professional or involved in SERIOUS work needs it to be much warmer. I always get a kick out of management when they try to justify their reasoning with pseudoscience and folklore. WHATTHEHECK’S WRONGWITH70DEGREES? Especially as we slide into frigid winter. Cold ambiance promotes injury and doesn’t allow for the most effective workout especially with all of the elderly in this place. It’s ridiculous and the management should be more responsive and intelligent. I am very fit for my age testing out at the fitness level of a 24 yo(I’m 50) and I still prefer it to be warm. Anyone unfit or deconditioned needs warmth esp. if they have cardiovascular disease. Can you see ProHealth keeping their CVD recovery gym at 63 degrees? They wouldn’t last long. And who decided low 60s was it? Why not set it in the 50s then? Next, they still do not have pads for the barbells. I do not plan on chipping my spinous processes doing squats b/c management is too cheap to buy them. Get some barbell padding! No heavy bag? With all the MMA and whatnot you can’t get a nice heavy bag that people can kick? I know this is really only for me as most do not consider a heavy bag as standard gym stuff but still… Next we have shitty stand up tanning beds. What? Yep. Granted the lay downs have their faults too but WTF how is it relaxing to stand up waiting for the bus? Gee, I can’t wait to relax and take a mini-nap STANDINGUP. Duh. Again a tad stupid. With BOTH you could insure many more people would double their membership to include tanning. Me? Nope I am not into the standup thing and only ten minutes? Really? I tan well so ten min won’t do it no matter how good the bulbs. But then to stand for 20 minutes??? I’ll go somewhere else. Once again there is no BEST gym only those that satisfy some requirements but never all. Actually Gold’s is starting to look good again and since I don’t use the BB/tennis courts at Princeton I don’t see any reason to pay the extra $ 30 for those that do. So maybe I’ll stay at X if I don’t freeze to death or maybe not. Now, if you warmed it up to a sunspotted, burning-hot 70 degrees I’ll stay even if everyone else crumps from heat exhaustion.

The great perk about this place is that, it is 10 $ a month. You get all the bells and whistles, except for tanning. The one thing I do not like is, they outrageously charge for personal training. I’m the kind of person that I want to build my muscle & not pay 300 for a couple sessions. The protein there, is good quality, but over priced a little bit. They say it is a good deal, when it really isn’t. I got the building blocks protein & fish oil & another supplement for 104 $ when I looked online the fish oil and the other supplement is going for 10 – 15 $ online, instead of 34 $ per supplement. They really switched up the customer service a lot since I have been there. People weren’t as nice. No one was watching the front door as people walked in and they could just walk in there and workout. Now, they monitor that… Thank god! All in all, the place is great if you like a cheap place to work out &THEYAREFINALLYEXPANDING! They have been saying that for almost 2 years now! It is supposed to be coming early to late fall. Let’s hope they actually go through with everything they promised.

Where to start! The gym is horrible. Paint chipping off the walls, machine spray bottles always empty, no staff, bathroom soap dispensers broken, lock on women’s bathroom door broke, and it is almost impossible to cancel your membership. I called 5 times to the company before finally talking to am actual person to cancel after sending in two cancelation letters. Their rule is a letter for cancelation but they said they never got my first one. Spend the money for a nice gym. Here you get what you pay for.

Joining gyms like this, you get what you pay for. In my case, going to whichever of their locations, free tanning, and being month to month is a-okay for $ 20/mo. My only gripe is their hours. Wish they were open till at least midnight so I could get a round in after work. I like going to gyms in off periods so I can circuit train without distractions or campers holding up the weights. They are promising to move into a bigger facility, but I’m not sure when exactly that is happening. Parking there is no fun, but I’m the type that drives a newer car and park far away from others anyways. If you’re looking for better value(and higher price), go to gold’s or better yet, pay a premium and go to the Princeton Club. If not, I’ll see you around the gym.

Definitely will never recommend! When it was Cardinal, there were no issues. Now it is dirty, not maintained and I agree with one of the ‘filtered’ reviews that employees only care about signing people up and otherwise sit in office playing on their phones and don’t care about service. Music is loud and terrible. I know of at least 3 other people who have complained and are told they are targeting a 20 something age group. Well the 20 somethings I see working out have ear buds in and aren’t listening to the«music» being played so loud over the speakers it is hard to have a conversation with other people in the gym. The exercise mats which people use for stretching, core work, etc. are worn out, torn and dirty. There is one that literally looks like a shark bit a small chunk out of. Also, when I joined I told them I did NOT want to be contacted via text, phone or email with any extra promotional advertising and yet my phone is getting calls and messages regarding events going on. I am beyond disgusted. Don’t join. You are better off anywhere else.

This place is poor to say the least. Machines are dirty, staff is less than friendly and billing seems to get messed up a lot because no on knows what they’re doing. Ignore the low costs and promise of new stuff and find anywhere else to go.
