Well, two stars because I didn’t hate it, and I’m not hungry anymore. There was no greeter when we came in so we bumbled around asking if we had to wait or seat ourselves. Then, when the lady came to get our drink order, she told me my son couldn’t have sweet tea. She proceeded to argue with me about it so I ordered my son a water and sweet tea for myself and we swapped after I got it. The food was about par for a Chinese Buffet and there were maybe 5 types of sushi. Our waitress brought us our bill and we had to track someone down to pay for our meal then too. While it wasn’t bad food, the service was definitely lacking. I dislike arguing with servers about what to feed my kids. I already have to argue with my kids enough about their eating habits, I won’t argue with a server.

Delivery of beef broccoli and shrimp with vegetables was timely. I was hesitant because of the poor reviews. Everything had a funny taste. Maybe something in the preservative solution? It was completely inedible and I had to throw everything out. Disappointing.

I see all the negative reviews but honestly what do you expect from a Chinese buffet where you only pay $ 8? This place is fine. I won’t complain about the quality, say it’s dirty or anything like that. It’s an 8 dollar chinese buffet. This place is perfect for the price

I have been here many times because my friend enjoys it. Tonight I have drawn a line in the sand. I took pictures of the women’s bathroom because I was appalled beyond belief. No more.

This place has everything you need to have a good asian meal. Food was fresh and satisfied my family. Very quiet atmosphere and we enjoyed it.

For the price of the buffet not bad at all. I just stick to the vegetables. The soup is ok but have had better. I did ask them for fresh shrimp and they did put some out. The kids probably would like this place more then adults.

Buffets are always hit or miss. More often miss, but this one is a gem. I was traveling on business and too early to check in at my hotel. Hunan was just down the road, so i decided to give it a try for a late lunch. The sign declared $ 7.99 lunch and $ 10.99. Kinda cheap for quality, i thought, but went in anyway. Very happy i did. The choices were endless, including ribs, 4 delicious shrimp selections and some pricey fish dishes, the quality outstanding, the service good. The only issue i had was the bulk ice cream freezer. They had a nice selection but no staff prevented the children from serving themselves(and no parents cared enough to watch their own dear ones) so the freezer was a mass of confusion. When i got the check i was initially ticked off, $ 9.99. Strange, since it was neither lunch nor dinner price. As i was paying i asked the gentleman why it was $ 9.99 and not $ 7.99, he politely explained that it was Sunday and it is $ 9.99 all day. That was still a great price considering the outstanding selection and quality.

Awesome lunch buffet, even better price! Everything from classic sesame chicken to sushi and ice cream. Everything a Chinese buffet should have only this one seems to have much better quality than most other buffets. I’m actually on my way there now to get it in :0

It’s a decent Chinese buffet. There’s room to improve no doubt. Having said that it’s good for the price and has a good variety.

Not a fan of buffets to begin with, but came with my bf on a Groupon. Thank goodness we didn’t pay full price for this place. The food was cold! There was barely any of anything left. There was no way they’d be refilling any food soon since there were maybe ten other people there with us on a Saturday night. The employees were wearing coats while working because the place itself was freezing. Uncomfortable environment, below satisfactory food, store bought desserts and filthy tasting water. The Groupon is tempting, but please save yourself the ten bucks and go elsewhere.

Other owners did better… Skip this one, at $ 10 for lunch, falls waaaay short.

I’ve been to 30 different buffets in my life all over the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippine, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Guam, Korea, Malaysia, and Mexico and this buffet in Illinois 10.99 for diner buffet is outstanding and it has so many different items to choose, with a Hispanic cook on the grill that kicks butt at cooking Chinese and Japanese food. All I know is this buffet deserve more than 2 stars those people review should not be reviewed Real hungry man MM2 Voeuth USN

Probably the worst perfect I have ever been to. The only thing I had that was just put out and was pretty good was the veggie fried rice their lo mein and rice noodles. When I asked for Sprite it tasted more like Alka-Seltzer water. The fruits were nasty tasted stale and Jell-O had a hard coating they looked fresh but tasted stale overall never going back again ! … I hope they do something because it’s a good location and they have potential but I will not stick around to find out.

Yuck, yuck, yuck! I really wanted to love this place. We used to eat at the old restaurant all the time. This buffet was gross and neither my partner or I ate much. I hope it improves.

We had a Groupon… I feel like most of my bad reviews start with groupons. To be honest we are not big Buffet people, with the exception of the amazing buffets in Las Vegas, we don’t go to them often because I find they usually have a lot of mediocre food and the quantity causes the quality to lack. We saw the good reviews for this place, and since it is so close to home, we bought the Groupon and went. There was a lot of selection, but they were out if a lot of things, they would leave trays out that only had one or two pieces of chicken left in them… They had an American food section, which was a bad sign, and the food was bad. I have had frozen mozzarella sticks that were way better. I get it, it’s a Chinese Buffet, I was expecting handmade cheese sticks, but these tasted so freezer burned they were inedible. The Chinese fried rice was good but standard and dry. The egg rolls were awful. I ate a piece of sesame chicken that was so chewy and tough I couldn’t bite through it. I ended up spitting it out. My husband had sushi which he said wasn’t fresh. Fearing we were going to get ill(which we did not), we left after only one plate of food and got a pizza on the way home. I wanted to like it, the severs and people working at the counter were so friendly and kind, I feel bad writing this review. But the food was seriously questionable and I wish someone had warned me before I went… Perhaps it is the concept and not the establishment, it is hard to make that much food well at such a low price: with the groupon it was only $ 5 a person. Even without it, $ 10 is not enough money to charge to put out quality fresh ingredients in that quantity. I hope they make it, I’m routing for them, but I’m not going back.

Chinese Buffets are usually hit or miss but this one was a hit! We tried the lunch buffet and the staff was very friendly which is a big plus. They have a Hibachi station and a Sushi Bar, the Hibachi/Sushi chef was very nice and when we told him that we had never tried sushi, he made a spicy tuna roll just for us, it was very good. The buffet is typical fare and they do have a pretty decent selection including a salad & dessert station. As a previous reviewer wrote, these buffets are more about quantity but the food was good. The lunch is $ 6.99, drink not included. We are a fan of these types of restaurants and we walked out in a food coma saying never again… within 4 days we were back… and we will be back again.

Same buffet layout and style as before but with new owner, staff and cooks. Price still reasonable. $ 6.99 for lunch and $ 9.99 for dinner. Ok sushi — rice was fresh and a with appropriate level of bite/chewiness instead of dried out like the previous restaurant had. Sushi is made fresh. Lunch sushi is just fake crab meat and veggies but ok for buffet quality. But let”s be honest, you’re here for quantity, so don’t expect sushi restaurant level sushi. They have crispy breaded wings as well as a separate tray of unbreaded buffalo wings — big plus for me since I have issues with gluten. My favorite items were the mushrooms stuffed with a cream cheese mixture then topped with cheddar, the mussels smothered with cheese and the stir fried bok choy. They also had your typical array of general tsos, sweet and sour chicken as well as stir fry dishes such as pepper steak, chicken broccoli, etc. No oysters or crab legs for the dinner buffet. But you can get crab legs as an add on for an additional charge.
