Fresh Mediterranean grill was everything that I had hoped it would be: cheap, healthy and delicious.
I got a spicy chicken wrap with tzatziki with pita and red hummus and it was all incredible.
I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to eat good food for a fair price. Also the girls working there weren’t too bad either

Appetizer– red pepper humus with pita. Very very good.
Entrées– chicken kabob, beef kabob, vegetable kabob. Excellent! Beef was medium and tender. Chicken flavourful, tender, moist not dry, vegetables very tender.
Dessert– baklava. Very good. Not too oily. In fact, perfect!
All in all a very good meal. We’ll be back.

Had the Spicy Gyro, which was great. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve had anywhere! I found this joint through Unilocal and it didn’t disappoint.

Great gyro. I got the spicy one and it didn’t disappoint. Very nice menu, but it is only Mediterranean food, so if you are with picky eaters they will have a hard time finding something to eat. They have pittas and hummus to go along with a number of sauces. Limited seating, but well worth the trip. It is a nice addition to Waukee

Was very fresh, flavorful and delicious! Can’t wait to try again soon. Staff was friendly, limited seating but it wasn’t any problem getting a small (albeit cramped) table.

Delicious and very fresh. Had the Gyros. They were to die for. Also ordered Chicken Kabobs. The spicy peanut sauce tasted great, but was not spicy. When I’m told something is spicy, I expect some heat. But I’ll definitely be back for more.

Worth the drive out there. It’s a fast casual Mediterranean place with the best Mediterranean food in Iowa. Very fresh, very delicious, and always fast! I am addicted to their falafel! The saffron lemonade was divine!

Nice little Mediterranean place. We do go there once a month, as it is a lilt drove away.
They have drove through as well but I like to dine in. Chicken on the stick and gyro are good. Now and pleasant environment.

Excellent! All ingredients taste so fresh (appropriately named). The service was friendly and fast!
I ordered the chicken gyro and sweet potato fries — all made to order. The fries cane with a deliciously seasoned ranch-​esque dip. Fresh also offers a delicious date-​walnut balsamic that tastes DELICIOUS on the sweet potato fries.
You can buy their balsamic/​olive oils for $ 4.99. They also sell Thema’s ice cream sandwiches and craft root beer from Chicago.

I stopped by here with my coworkers for lunch looking for a good gyro. What I got was a small gyro that had no other taste other than onions and cucumbers. It was fresh, but lacked meat and sauce. All my workers said the same thing. One of us got regular fries which were borderline soggy, and others got sweet potatoe fries which were pretty good. Ice tea drink we got had no sugar at all and tasted bland. I, nor anyone from my 4 person group would return to this place. Perhaps other items on the menu are good, but for $ 10+, I rather take my chances elsewhere.

Stopped in for lunch. We had salads and one had a gyro. All was really good & fresh. My Greek salad with chicken was as good, if not better, than the one I get at Centro downtown. Small menu, casual and quaint. Descent prices. Will for sure be back.

Youll love the food at this place. We ordered chicken sandwitch and a gyro sandwitch and wasnt really in a mood for a conversation till I finished eating. They also serve spicy peanut sause along with the others and for peanut lovers like my husband is like icing on the cake. They also have drive thru service. Highly recommend. enjoy

Came here for lunch with a coworker and it didn’t disappoint. We both ordered kabobs amd sweet potato fries. For something as simple as a kabobs, they were just bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. The cashier warned us that the steak kabobs would take longer to cook but I felt like our food came quickly.
Its pretty nice to have a place close by that was some healthier lunch options.
I can’t wait to come back and try some of the other things they have on the menu.

Just had lunch there. Got the Gyro sandwich… based on taste and quantity I still prefer Ted’s Coney Island over Mediterranean Express. Falafel were half the size of Ted’s Falafel but the flavor was food. This is a decent spot for Waukee. At Ted’s you can get it all in a basket for around $ 7 which includes fries, onion rings, coleslaw — a great deal! compared to Mediterranean express where JUST the sandwich is 7.99.
The Staff was very friendly and nice.

Stopped by late one evening last week. Here is what I like the gyro tastes like lamb and has a great mix of the traditional flavors. they have many sauce options as well. I don’t know how long it will stay in business… crowds were pretty light. I would stop by again but probably only for lunch doesn’t seem like a good date place.

My wife and I just finished a great meal here. We had the Mediterranean
sampler and two sandwiches, one gyro and one chicken kabob. The sampler was excellent with a wonderful homemade peanut sauce. The sandwiches were great and fresh as well, but the chicken kabob was the star if the sandwiches. Falafel was a part of the sampler and it was better than we have had. I hope everyone in the area tries this place! This is a special place that is very rare in the suburbs. Nothing fancy, just a great neighborhood made from scratch spot (especially all the sauces!).

last minute search for a gyro. Jumped on Unilocal and found this gem close to home.
AMAZING! they are very accommodating and even waiting past closing hours for me to pick up my sandwich. Look forward to dining again when I’m not in a rush.
