Love their food. Sometimes I feel like we are being rushed by the waitresses.

Had a wonderful breakfast on Sunday 6 – 26. The food was delicious, the portions were huge… and the prices were very reasonable! Staff was so friendly and attentive. Our party of 6 was too big for them to accommodate inside the restaurant(on a Sunday) and when they asked if we would sit outside on the patio I was hesitant. My initial thought was that they would forget about us… but that did not happen at all. They came out at least every 90 seconds to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a great exlerience… would highly recommend this local gem!

We love Naomi, I don’t feel like I am coming to a restaurant when we visit her. I feel we are visiting her home and she is cooking home made food for my family. Treats us like family every time we come in. The food is awesome and the service… Well you know how I feel about that. This location is busy. But well worth the wait. The country potatoes are the best in my opinion in the try I county area. Some suggestions. The eggs Benny’s are to die for. The country scramble and meat lovers scramble WOW! Today I discovered the chile verde and eggs. Again WOW. Worth the drive from neighboring cities. Come see Naomi or any of the other amazing servers.

Great food. Stopped with the family on vacation. There were 6 of us and they got us right in. Service was excellent and very friendly. The potatoes were awesome. One of us had the salmon hash that was heavenly. I had the corned beef hash and left nothing on my plate. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The Red Apple Café should be on everyone’s destination list for breakfast and lunch in Watsonville. The breakfast offerings feature a variety of omelette and potato dishes, notably a Beef Enchilada Omelette and for spud lovers, try the Steak Potato Dish. For lunch, try either the BBQ Beef Sandwich(request Onion Rings for your side), or for something different but delicious, try the Ostrich Burger!

So pleasantly surprised after only basic brunches at other Watsonville diners. I had the chorizo potato scramble and was SHOCKED at the massive size of it. I LOVED the spicy chorizo fried with potatoes and smothered in heaps of melty cheese and toppings. I ate half and took the rest of it home for 3 more breakfasts! My fiancé had pancakes and a very serious vegetable and shrimp omelette. They did not skimp on the ingredients, and unlike many veggie dishes it wasn’t bland at all! Can’t wait to go back for another 4-day breakfast scramble :-)

This very nice family style café serves breakfast all day and lunch. It does not serve dinner. The menu is varied and they offer some very good Hispanic dishes. We had the homemade corn beef hash and ham with waffle. The service was excellent with a very friendly wait staff. We would definitely eat here again!

We decided to eat here a couple days ago instead of at Cowboys Café which is around the corner from it. Since it’s breakfast & lunch only, it was perfect timing for us. Ordered their pesto scramble, country potatoes and english muffin. Let me tell you it was delicious! Their pesto has more flavor than Cowboys does but the portion is a bit smaller. Although the country potatoes had such good flavor that the thick ranch dressing complimented it nicely instead of masking the blandness of potatoes. I liked the combination. As for the ambiance: Waitresses dress tacky in my opinion. Showing your tatts and boobs doesn’t make my food taste better. Although I imagine it draws more tips from the guys. It certainly draws stares from guys that I saw there, including my own BF. Just because they have bad fashion taste doesn’t mean they’ve got attitudes. Our waitress Sara was very friendly. She had a great personality and I enjoyed her service. She was a lot friendlier with the customers from what I observed that day. The tables are older but decent and comfy enough. I like the layout and setting except for the table right next to the bathroom doors. I hope to never be seated there. That’s disgusting to me. Then again, it’s just my opinion and wanted to let you fellow Unilocalers know it’s a possibility you’ll be seated there! :-P I’d like to go back and try some other items on the menu. They had a very good variety and it all seems decently priced too! Not too bad. Very casual place; no need to dress up.

Good food at reasonable prices. I’ve only been here for breakfast, but it is outstanding.

This cozy little nook is filled to the brim with a homestyle ambience and a country fried aroma to boot. With so many mouth watering options, it’s hard to make a solid choice on what ‘sounds good’ to eat. However, rest assured, there is not ONE thing on this menu that I wouldn’t recommend. The food is always hot(unless you get a cold dish!), beautifully presented and full of flavor. All dishes prepared to order, just the way you like. On another note, services here are definitely worth mentioning. From the moment I stepped in, I felt immediately welcomed into a family-like atmosphere where I was the guest. Once seated, a waitress took my drink order, another came by to take my order, and yet another stopped by just to ask if I was doing alright. It was like being at home on Thanksgiving, where everyone is concerned about how each other is doing and wants to make sure everything tastes good, and the love is palpable. Though the hours here aren’t the best(because I wish they were ALWAYS open) it is definitely worth a looksy if you are in the area. Parking lot gets full in the morning, but it’s totally worth the walk from anywhere nearby.

Breakfast with my Dad this morning. Decent place, excellent service, above average tasting food. I found the pancakes needed a little work but otherwise a perfect breakfast(Specifically the pancakes were a bit chewy and tough-this is likely in the recipe or they were cooked and then reheated after; who knows, still pretty good). Waits can be long if you do not time your breakfast. Our wait at 9am on a Sunday was just under 10 minutes. Not bad seeing as the place down the street was 45 min wait. A nice choice in Watsonville with a very large private parking lot with more spaces than the place can hold in customers. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean as well. Will be back for sure to give them a shot at improving their pancakes and a possible 5-star review.

This place continues to be awesome! Went there for breakfast with the family this morning and once again we found delicious food and excellent service! All the ladies working there are super friendly and they always make you feel welcome. This is for sure the best place for a savory breakfast or lunch in a welcoming and family environment! Keep up the great job ladies!!!

We went here after our first option ended up having a long wait time. We sat at the counter without a wait. It was good because you got paid attention to often from all the waitresses heading to the kitchen. The Food: I got a scrambled omelet with some pancakes which were ok. Their best item for sure was the house taters. They had great taste and hit the spot. The Staff: They are very attentive to your needs. And you could ask anyone for something and they would get to you ASAP. The Restaurant: Parking was not the best but manageable unless you’re a short tempered mofo. The restaurant itself is a little older. I didn’t get to scope it all out since we sat at the counter, but it looked clean from what I saw. the Price: The pricing is average but if you’re use to Denny’s prices, then you should bring an extra 10 or 20. Will I go back?: I guess if im in the area but its not something I am willing to drive to to have.

Being next door to my office, I frequently enjoy breakfast and lunch at Red Apple Café. The staff is amazing and always great service. The food is consistently good. LOVE their burgers, sandwiches and breakfast items — salads are also excellent. While they are always very busy, they are quick and the food is great!

Took us longer to get to the place than to eat… so much traffic on top of Main St. being closed. Who ever doesn’t like having breakfast for lunch or dinner is not normal. :P Fast and friendly service with food of epic proportions! Definitely a lot of bang for your buck! The table and floor could have been a little cleaner… I actually stepped on a fork that was dropped under the table. The pancakes were soooooo delicious!!! Light and fluffy with a hint of I don’t know what… It tasted like cake batter and vanilla! I ordered the crab cake benedict, it was delicious. Not fishy with tons of flavor. I think this puts Bill’s Café’s crab cake to shame.(OMG-what did she just say??) :P The potatoes where not my favorite, I think it’s because they were not bite sized. My sister approved of their chorizo scramble, my son devoured his chicken strips and my husband liked the ultimate meat omelet but felt it had too much egg. They offer lunch items too and breakfast is served all day. Hours are not posted on Unilocal but they’re open from 6:00am-3:00pm. I recommend this place and will be back for more! Happy eating!

That Apple café Watsonville, awesome staff ! very attentive, food is great and the service is great as well. The outdoor seating while not the warmest place to sit had great music and the wait times less if your willing to sit out there. Bottom line here folks FOODANDSERVICEAREEXCELLENT.

Very good food and a ton of it! I’m a big guy who enjoys his food and their potato breakfast was too big for me. The staff was very good and the resturant was very clean. It was crowded but then again it was 10am on a Sunday. We sat at the counter and got served very quickly. Highly recommend.

3.5 star review I came here for the first time with some coworkers because it was close to our hospital. We waited about 15 mins for a table but it went by pretty quickly. I had one of the scrambles, I forget which one but it was pretty decent. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the spinach, sausage and cheese went well with it. The potatoes were ok but a bit salty for my taste. I tried my coworkers pancakes and they were also just ok, the berries they used were kind of tart and sour. I wasn’t a really big fan. For nearby brunch/breakfast it’s a decent option! Definitely would come back again to try something else. Total for 1:$ 12
