The days of Dewey’s olive burgers and trough urinal are long gone but not forgotten. Since the remodel some time ago TJ’s has upped the ante with some great pub food and still solid service. Ignore the poor reviews, the food alone outweighs any other complaints. See photo of All American Burger and try to resist. I cannot and have to toss a coin between that and the pizza. They have a good variety of other items which include house smoked brisket and pulled pork as well as rotating specials. I once brought a group of a dozen who were all (every single one) in the service industry on a Sunday afternoon and to put it short, some of them tipped the price of their bills. Legit, consistent and always on my mind when in the neighborhood.

Waited 45 minutes for food just to finally be told they were out of chicken wings, then came back 10 mins later to find out they were out of Mac and cheese for my daughter. Needless to say, we got up and left. This as during lunchtime and the place was empty.

Once Keeler’s burned down I needed a new place in Sister Lakes for pizza. I found out someone has rebuilt the old Dewey’s and I ordered for take out. The place is clean with a nice beer selection and the pizza was slightly better than Keeler’s. Will definitely be back for other items and also the pizza.

When the bar and grill that used to be on this spot burned down, I was pretty sad because they had the BEST burgers. But TJ’s is pretty great! By far one of the better pub food options in the area. I’ve never been disappointed — awesome fried green beans and burgers.

I’ve been to T.J.‘s several times and found the food to be fairly decent. I’ve found the wait staff to be pleasant and efficient. So why just two stars? Unfortunately the one thing that I have noted every time I have eaten there are the numerous flies inside the dining area. I have now decided that I will not eat there again because I’m tired of shooing flies away as I try to eat my food. Anyone who has any knowledge of restaurant sanitation knows that flies are a huge issue. This is a management problem. So until they clean up this issue, I’ll take a pass on T.J.‘s.

TJ’s is far superior to other pubs in the area. They are our go-​to for pizza now, and when dining in, their specials are always a good bet. We’ve had well-​cooked steaks, salads with actual romaine lettuce (not iceberg!) and tasty appetizers there. Definitely recommend it for Friday night dinner and drinks.
