This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service is always exceptional. We eat here pretty often and always have a delicious meal. The drinks are very good too.

The decorations and atmosphere are very welcoming and updated. Great touches with«the vault» et cetera. They have moderately priced wines by the glass and some cocktail offerings. We came on a Wednesday night and it was steadily busy. Hostess was welcoming and accommodating. Our server was quick and listed off a multitude of specials for the evening. It was a little off-putting when she asked if we were done with our entrees less than 10 minutes after receiving them. It became annoying when she came back every 5 minutes until we were done. To top it off, she took the bill and tip while we were still finishing wine. I fully understand the desire to turn tables, honestly, but this was a little excessive.

Veal piccata was bland and not good at all. The meat was almost spoiled, the worst veal piccata I’ve had at an Italian restaurant. My wife ordered the chicken kebab and it was ok. Large appetizer portions but not impressive flavor.

Great food and cocktails. Sit at the bar and you will always find good people. Get there early or make reservations, they fill up quick.

1. Everyone I bring here likes it. 2. There’s always a Groupon. 3. I have an inexhaustible supply of visiting relatives. Therefore, The Talk has become indispensible.

Celiacs beware! We have been here several times and the food is good. Most recently however after ordering gluten free pasta I got violently ill. Furthermore when I mentioned it to the restaurant owner he became aggressive-Telling me his mother an sister and sister have celiac and that is why they have gluten free options. I told him I understand it was probably a mistake but he was not helpful or understanding and refused to seat us. I will not be returning.

Used a Groupon for this place, and super happy that I did. It prompted me to try this spot. PROS: Nice open floor plan, didn’t feel cramped. Started with the eggplant rollotini app and a Shrimp Fantasa. Main courses we had were the Chicken Limoncello type of dish, and the Ziti ala vodka. Everything was wonderful. They serve complimentary bread, which I needed a second portion of, to clean my plate of the vodka sauce. Yumm. CONS: Parking is tough, because it’s on the main drag in Watertown. Less of a concern if it’s warm out, because you can find parking if you want to walk a bit. The open floor plan also lends itself to getting drafty when patrons come and go, leaving the door open too long on a chilly night. But that’s not the restaurant’s faults. OVERALL: A good spot for Italian in Watertown. It’s not the North End, but if you’re local, it’s a heck of lot more convenient than going downtown. The menu was chock full of things I’d like to try. We will return. TIPS: Get a table away from the door. Go on a weekday, so parking is easier.

Great traditional Italian restaurant with a few specialties thrown in. This is my daughter’s favorite. We always get the fried ravioli appetizer. I like that they have fish specialties with pasta — like swordfish. It is a bit far from my house but well worth the trip. This would be a great place for a small party as they have a vault room(think bank vault) that is setup with just one long table.

Came here on Monday evening with my boy friend after work. We got there early, just a few minutes after they opened at 5:10pm. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come over but the water was poured on our table. We started with the Shrimp Fantasia appetizer followed with Shrimp scampi for me and he had the greek salad with streak tips. After ordering, the waiter asked if we wanted bread. I don’t know of establishments that asked if you wanted bread or not. Most places would just bring it to you before you even place an order. In any case, the restaurant was cute. The décor is nice, warm and welcoming. The temperature inside was chilly. I had to put my scarf on which i usually never do. The appetizer came and it was very good. our small plates were dirty from the crumbs of bread and also from the appetizers, as well as our utensils. We were done with the app and waited awhile before the main courses came out. While waiting, the waiter was attentive with clearing the app plate away but didn’t remove the little plates, nor changed the utensils like other restaurants of the same. No big deal. He refilled our beverage without being asked to which was great. The shrimp scampi was bland and tasteless. The shrimp were of good size and fresh Linguini was cooked perfect. but the sauce was just not there. I was so hungry by the time the entrée came out, i finished it. it wasn’t a big portion which was probably a good thing otherwise i would have over eaten on the pasta. The steak tip greek salad was also ok. The steak tip was asked for medium rare but it was more on the medium to medium well side. good portion again but it wasn’t well seasoned but charred nicely on the grill. The greek salad was romaine lettuce with some cheese and olives. nothing fancy for the price paid. Needless to say, the bread with its oil and the shrimp fantasia was way better than the entrees. Would we return? probably not. The waiter never asked if we wanted a refill after he brought the first one even when the glass was empty. i wish i could give it more stars but the place wasn’t busy and our waiters attitude was just not upbeat nor friendly. this was suppose to be a pretty upscale place but the staff didn’t portray that at all. it just wasn’t worth the $ 75 spent here.

I went here Sunday night and had the best time! Jennifer was an incredible waitress and the food was fantastic. Loved the drink I got and my boyfriend and I ate every last bite of our meals. Highly recommend this place, you can’t go wrong with anything you order there!

Our food was nothing special. My asparagus was literally un-edible. Thank goodness I purchased a groupon voucher otherwise it definitely would not have been worth the price. Sorry probably won’t return.

We have come here a few times and I have to say that each time has been excellent. We usually go with a pizza share for the appetizer and then share a dinner. We have never been disappointed. The food is always great and the service is always amazing. Love this place and would recommend roman tone looking for some intimacy and amazing dinner.

Yum. Salmon is perfectly crispy and tender. Spinach is not too greasy, and special with lobster and clams on linguini was delicious! The bar tenders were gentleman, and the setting is very romantic and italian. Been several times and will be back again.

Really poor choice for a vegetarian, and an absolute no for a vegan. There are very few vegetarian options on this menu, but when my friends chose it for dinner I thought I could make due. No. Even the pasta is made with egg, so you can’t even have plain pasta and sauce. Good to know if you have an egg allergy too. The one extra star I gave it was for the kind waitress who really tried to find something for me to eat, and was honest about all the ingredients. I would have just blown it off as a place not to go to again, except that they actually charged me $ 12 for a lame plain salad. The least they could have done was comp it for me since I was obviously not getting a good meal.

Mixed reactions… i had heard great things and it is family owned and operated restaurant, which is great… but the service we had wasn’t amazing… Our waitress didn’t listen to us when we asked for specific things, like making something spicy or needing something to come out before something else… Food overall was good but nothing special. It was pretty non descript. Like the place inside, though, overall enjoyed the atmosphere, very local feel, but wasn’t impressed by food or service this time. I will be back to try again, i think.

The Talk had great Gluten Free options! Was pretty impressed with all of the choices as it’s been hard finding GOOD gluten free food. Having celiac has made me feel pretty frustrated, especially going out to eat, and the Talk has plenty to choose from!

This was our first time here. The menu variety is outstanding. Our party enjoyed the Arctic Char and Sole specials. The brownie sundae is big enough to share with four people. Our server was friendly and very competent . We will return !

Lemon drop martini, lemon breaded shrimp, and chicken Armando. Every experience here beats the last.
