The chicken pot pie was to actually die for, so fresh and delicious and the staff was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

Really love this place! I had my bridal shower there and also had lunch a few times there as well. The staff is friendly and the food is really good!

Generally solid food and good beers. What’s on tap can be hit or miss, but bottle list is extensive. We’re IPA fans and usually have something good. Great prices on both beer and food. Minus one star for spotty service on occasion and not a fan of the communal seating that we sometimes end up with.

This is our go to place in town. We are here at least once a week. Now thinking of it, maybe we get carried away. But when we go out to eat– for something in town it is usually here. +The staff! Unbelievable. We have three kids and even when they make a mess, spill– they don’t look annoyed(which my face is usually looking like.) They know exactly what we are ordering — again maybe because of the frequency. But I like that. The owner, Tony, is awesome. Always friendly, checks on us while we are there and always talks to the kids to ask them how they are doing. Service makes this make deserve 10 stars. Seriously. +Food. The escarole and beans I never thought would come from a «bar and grill» place. And if it did I never thought it would taste amazing. I thought only Roma’s would give me the best around here. Think again– as a little bit of a snob over escarole and beans(hey there are pizza snobs!) I dream about this dish. I always clap my hands and grin instantly when I see it’s a special. Please put this on your permanent menu! Yum! + I am not a huge drinker, but I do like craft beer. And they always have Black Hog, Two Roads, Etc on hand. We had our holiday party here and they accommodated half our vegan staff. See how awesome they are. Go!

Cute place! Was in the area after a hike looking for a light lunch, so we decided to stop here. Got the irish nachos to split and two salads, caesar and the chef’s special. Everything was very light and yummy! Service was a little slow, however, considering we were one of two tables there.

I have amazing service every time I go to Rock Garden! The craft draft beers are always good and always changing. The food is always great as well. One of my favorite spots in the Waterbury area.

The food is good but the service is ridiculously SLOW. Every time I have been here the wait is excruciating. I went to eat at RGC last night and waited almost 45 – 50 minutes for food that I could have made in 20 minutes. We ordered a taco salad, four kids meals, a pork sandwich, and two quesadilla’s. While we were waiting four tables of the tables finished up and left, plus three of the remaining tables were already eating, which left me wondering what we were waiting for. That being said, I don’t know what goes on in the kitchen but it has been the same over a period years. Each time I go I have waited approximately 45 minutes for my entrée, and in a restaurant of this size it’s ridiculous.

This place seems to be all the ‘buzz’ lately in the area. All these check ins and chat at the gym. Apparently I was missing out on some kind of hidden gem… and I’m all about uncovering hidden gems. So this past Friday the wifey and I and a friend decided to dip our toes in. And by ‘dip our toes in’ I mean drinks and an appetizer. Spoiler alert… it went well. It was about 6:30 on a Friday night, and we were greeted at the door by a nice gent who told us it would be just a couple minutes for a table. It was almost exactly just a couple minutes and we were seated at a kind of community table in the middle of the dining room. Atmosphere seemed pretty laid back, typical local joint. Even with a pretty packed bar, we had no trouble having a conversation without raising our voices. Server came over quickly and took our drink order and asked if we wanted apps, which we did but were still undecided. By the time the drinks came, which again… was pretty quick given the crowd, we had decided to go with the Fried Zucchini and a Ceasar salad. Dipping our toes as it were. No issues with the timing of the food, and everything was delicious. Not that what we ordered could be considered indicative of the breadth of the menu, but sometimes it’s more about just seeing if a place is worth a second, more detailed look. This place definitely is. It’s no secret that I’m a big Triple Play guy, but I will say that it was nice to discover another local option that’s not much farther away. If only for those nights that Triple Play gets a bit too…“sporty” for my tastes.

good food — they currently have a great sushi night on Wednesdays. Nachos are a must have. My only qualms are the service and noise level. It has the acoustics of a high school cafeteria, it could really use some sort of sound softening material so it’s not so loud and reverberent. 4⁄5

This place is decent. Not one of my favorites but I go occasionally. Food and drink prices are moderate and service is ok. Best bet is the Lobster Mac and cheese.

Rock garden burger with bacon — is the best burger I’ve had. It has everything! The beef is organic or something wonderful like free range, I can’t remember. It has all the wonder dressings of a roasted pepper, pesto, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onion. This is my go to on the menu. I get it medium or medium rare. Meaty balls appetizer is delicious, same meat at the burger. Funny bone cake — wow, delicious — get it if you like peanut butter. Harvest penne is okay. Love the weekly promos 2 for Tuesday and Sushi night and lobster roll & clams night. Love the atmosphere, décor.

Food is bland and over price. went in one day with my family for dinner. Ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, longer was great clicked perfectly Mac and cheese though was watery and I’ve had better with Kraft. the bar is nice and small, now they play live music which is weird seeing how small the place is. It’s not bad if you like that sort of thing but it you like being in small places with a band 1 foot away from you with a bunch of people all together then. you love this but I don’t.

I don’t know what happened, but the food was not good. The artichoke dip was ok, not very warm and the crostini was completely stale. we asked for more crostini and never got any. My soup was cold, the baked potato was bland and unappetizing! Wait staff never came back to see if we needed drinks. I don’t know if I’ll easy there again, but ambiance was nice

My wife and I stopped here after seeing a movie down the street. Our food tasted great and was nice and fresh. We started out with the Blazin’ Buffalo Dip which was excellent. My wife had the Cobb Salad and said it was the best one she had in quite a while. I had the Rock Garden Burger, ordered medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was a delicious burger served on a nice bun with piping hot steak fries. Overall a very satisfying meal. The service was decent. We will definitely be coming back here to eat. Highly recommended!

Pretty varied menu in terms of food and at the bar. Have been here on a sushi night(Wednesday I think?) and had salad a few other times. They have several different types of cider which some bars don’t have any of at all so that’s impressive, especially if you’re gluten free!

Read the Unilocal reviews and decided to give it a try. We got take out and ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, a chicken Caesar salad and the philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries. The dip was phenomenal! The salad was okay, just like any other Caesar salad but the dressing was super watery and had a real kick of the pepper that at times I needed to give my mouth a break. The sandwich was good as well and the sweet potato fries were unreal! :) The woman on the phone was very friendly and of course helpful when it came down to choosing sizes and sides. Can’t wait to check out the restaurant atmosphere and see how good the other menu items look, because they sound delicious!
