I just got one of the best haircuts of my life from Mindy Cooper this weekend. My hair has always been mostly straight with a little bit of wave, until recently when it randomly decided to become curly. Mindy gave me a great cut that really brings out the curl, and also matches my personality. She also showed me, step by step, exactly how to style it, and I have been able to recreate it at home (not always the case when one goes to the salon). People are seriously stopping me in public to comment on how good my hair looks, which honestly has never happened to me before.
Mindy herself is very funny and very personable. She is easy to talk to and not once did I feel she was trying to sell me any products — she would even tell me when I was better off buying products from the drug store. (Incidentally, I did buy some product from her because it was magic, but I didn’t feel forced.)
I highly recommend Mindy to anyone looking for a curly cut and/​or anyone who is looking for basic, thorough instructions on how to make your hair look like you just walked out of a salon every day. I will absolutely be back.

Mindy does an amazing job. I’ve been going to her for about a year now and every time I walk out of there, it’s like I have someone else’s hair (thick, healthy and beautiful). I originally found Mindy at a salon in Harvard Square after stylist-​hopping for a year. I breathed a sigh of relief because she can strike a great balance between my hair/​personality and what looks contemporary and will actually WORK with my hair type. Mindy is a master of making it work — cut — color — style and can roll with the punches.
Mindy is a curly-​hair specialist, and ironically my hair is the opposite [pin-​straight] and she knocks it out of the park for me each time. I’ve been getting my hair cut with her for about 15 years now, and I’ve gotten to the point where I trust her implicitly with my hair and style, which has changed several times over the years. I’ve followed her to her new salon and have given her as a reference to several happy new customers. Call Mindy!
