Beth’s Cleaning

Let me start off by saying that I have never written a Unilocal review before, but I am so appalled with Beth’s Cleaning that I felt the need to warn future customers.
I bought a Groupon for Beth’s cleaning services to clean my apartment ($ 88 for $ 160 worth of services), and promptly called her to schedule an appointment. She was pleasant enough on the phone, but rushed me off very quickly and instructed that I text her my details. After a few texts back and forth, we schedule a time and date. The day before she is due to come, she texts in an attempt to reschedule for later in the week. I let her know that it will not work, and she agrees to come on the originally scheduled day, but will need to confirm the time the morning of.
My sister was going to be the one to let her in and handle the payment, so I ask that she confirm the time with me as early as possible so that I can pass along the information to my sister. The morning arrives and she has still not yet confirmed a time, so I reach out. She tell me she will be there around noon and will call my sister on her way. At noon, she calls my sister to let her know she is close. An hour and 15 minutes go by until she calls again. At this point she tells me sister she has been driving around for 25 minutes looking for parking and will not come up unless we pay for her parking in our building. (Approx. $ 30/​hr) Of course my sister refuses, and Beth very rudely says she will not be coming to clean our apartment now or ever as it «isn’t worth her time». She then proceeds to bash Groupon for their vouchers as they are «a waste of time and she does not get paid nearly enough»
Luckily, Groupon agreed to reimburse me in full, but my question is this — If Groupon is such a waste of her time, why do you continue to have your services featured on their site? She is rude, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing.

I had a Groupon for Beth’s Cleaning, so you never know how these things will go, you often get what you paid for. I have to say that I got the full price value. Two cleaners came to my very dirty house and cleaned their buns off for 2 hours. my very dirty house is a distant memory and is now sparkling. I would hire them again at full price. Yes, they were about 45 minutes later than their original scheduled time, but no problem with me. Beth’s cleaning was very responsive by text and phone. I am surprised by the negative reviews and can only conclude that something went awry.

Had a pretty bad experience with Beth and her cleaning team. She showed up 2.5 hours late, and her cleaning services were pretty abysmal. She essentially tidied the place up and dusted over some of the dirt, even though I explicitly asked her to deep clean certain places, such as my bathroom. I would not use her services again.

She is ok.

Contacted Beth to get my house cleaned before a family get together. The short story is she cancelled four times, the last via text message two hours before she was supposed to arrive.
The long story is I contacted her two weeks prior to needing my house cleaned. Over those two weeks, she canceled once by calling me, a second time via text message (COMPLETELY unprofessional and I should have known at this point she wasn’t a good choice), a third time on the phone and the last via text message. The final straw was when she canceled the last time, after I made contact to verify our scheduled cleaning; she ignored my messages and TEXTED two hours prior to the appointment, the evening before people were due to arrive. If I canceled two hours before, I’d have to pay anyway, but she can do as she pleases and leave me screwed? I had no time to get a REAL cleaning service and it made for a hellish time prior to the party.
Additionally, she continually cited the fact that my house is ‘so far’ despite the listing I used to find her clearly stated a service range of 25 miles (I live 16 miles away). Her website even lists my town as ‘areas we service.’ Complete B.S. if you ask me.
I would definitely not recommend, be sure to get recommendations and references from other people.

Beth’s Cleaning sparkled in every way. Having no previous experience with the company, I called requesting a last-​minute full house cleaning before putting my home on the market. Elizabeth & Paulo provided an immediate response with an accurate estimate based on a short phone conversation.
The crew of two cleaners swiftly blew through our home, while removing dirt & dust after a renovation & a year’s worth of not living in our home.
Based on this experience, I highly recommend Beth’s Cleaning. They traveled to Natick and provided friendly and efficient service for a very good price. Thanks!
