Who said New York had the best pizza? Connecticut knows better, and now I do, too. Quite possibly the best pizza anytime, anywhere, ever. They have these giant sheets of pizza. Ah! It’s incredible! Huge square slices. Perfect crust on the bottom and sides. Even the middle pieces are delicious. Excellent cheese, love the pepperoni and sausage toppings. I get this any time I am a half hour away from Waterbury. This pizza is great to get in the restaurant or for pickup. It’s great to reheat the next day or even weeks after you freeze it. I can’t say enough about it. Service is always good. Has a real friendly, family, community vibe here. I want one of their old school t-shirts from the 70s they have framed on the wall. While the sauce and the crust were very tasty the veggies on the veggie pizza were not fresh. It was clear that the red and green peppers and the mushrooms had come from a can, and the broccoli was likely frozen. This is pretty unfortunate considering that the small pizza was about $ 16. Will not be coming back here.

We have been getting our Pizza here since 1986, missed it greatly when we lived in Oklahoma, and celebrated with their Pizza when we moved back. Now I want to ask. What has gone wrong? Over the past 6 months our order has been incorrect, but management would kindly take care of it the next time. We love the thin crust always and just never get pizza any where else. So now we are sad to say we are not coming back. Over the past two months we had problems. Now Our pizza is not only incorrect, but the correct one is not eatable. Two pizzas in two weeks thrown out.

I moved away from CT four years ago and this is still my first request when I come home! The pizza is to die for and it has the perfect family atmosphere.

First time ordering from Domenic’s & Vinnie’s Pizza. Went with a large Pepperoni, was a 30 minute wait on a late Saturday afternoon(which I thought was reasonable). The total was $ 21 for the pizza when I picked it up. Had«high expectations» based on the Unilocal reviews for Domenic’s & Vinnie’s Pizza in Waterbury. But honestly, felt the pizza was«middle-of-the-road», not bad, but not great either. Crust was a bit dry, overall flavor was alright. Honestly, not sure if I’d order from them again because they only offer pizza and salads. If pizza is the only thing you do, it should be spectacular.

I grew up going to what was then only Domenic’s pizza. They then became Domenic’s and Vinnie’s and I turned 16 and applied there to work. I got the job and lived off their pizza every weekend. Tried pretty much everything they have to offer, it never got old and was always delicious. After graduating high school I moved to NYC. Still have not found pizza better than D&V! When I’m home I always stop by to get a pizza or two. I love the buffalo chicken, the sausage an mushroom, and the extra cheese! The management is also really nice. You will always get a friendly young lady to ring you out, take your order or serve your table. All of the owners take pride in their work and will fairly deal with any mishap that may happen in order to ensure all of their customers leave happy. Today I got a large half extra cheese half cheese sausage mushroom and I’m loving it! If you’re in the Waterbury area looking for a good slice of pizza, Domenic’s and Vinnie’s is the place to go!

I have been living in the Waterbury area for 13 years and I had yet to find good pizza until today. This was the best pizza I have had in years. It is almost as good as Pepe’s. The dough was amazing and it was cooked perfectly. I ale there with my parents and kids and we all loved it! The place is austere and it only serves pizza but I cannot wait to go back!

By far the best pizza I have ever had, and believe me — I have tried to find better! NYC can’t compare.

I am from a suburb of Waterbury and grew up on this pizza. Originally Domenic’s was the pizza my mom had growing up, then Vinnie’s took over. Now the combination place is perfect. The sauce has a bit of a spicy bite to it, which makes it less bland than other pizzas. Also, it is cooked perfectly for a little bit of a crunch(you can even ask for thin crust so you get extra). We usually get pepperoni and the slices aren’t too thick and are also perfectly cooked. Every once in a while, they get so busy that a pizza is a little bit late. But we are talking about 10 minutes and SOWORTHTHEWAIT. They also have seating to dine in the restautant section and that’s always pleasant. It’s very casual and I know most of the people working there well enough(hey it’s a small town) to say hello and it’s always nice. The price is around $ 20 for a large now, but they are very large. No delivery option, but also worth the drive. Finally, my one complaint is that this restaurant is only open I think Wednesday-Sunday(I’d have to check on Wednesday) so early in the week if I have a pizza craving, I have to settle for something less yummy. Try this place. Even if you, like I, have to drive past 4 – 5 pizzerias on the way there lol
